After the audience returned greetings from Dahlan's hajj, the old man began to fill a tausyiah event about aqiqah.
"The presence of the baby is the most awaited moment by parents and family. Happiness in the presence of the baby makes parents grateful for the gift of God that is immeasurable.
One form of gratitude for the birth of a baby by holding an aqiqah event. Aqiqah is carried out by slaughtering livestock and then distributed to relatives and neighbors.
Aqiqah is a teaching in Islam that is done when having children. Proposals to carry out this aqiqah according to the teachings brought by Prophet Muhammad Shallahu alaihi wa salam.
Therefore every Muslim must know the rules of aqiqah for children according to the guidance of the Prophet Shallahu alaihi wa salam.
By knowing the proper ordinances of aqiqah, Muslims can live their lives calmly because they have performed the worship ordered by Allah Subhanallahu wa ta'ala.
This law of aqiqah is based on the hadith of the Prophet narrated by Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah.
Which means: Every child is pawned with his aqiqah slaughtered on the seventh day, shaved (his hair), and given a name.
Perhaps many are asking, about the sentence every child is pawned with his aqiqah. Well, among the opinions of the scholars is that the child who was not qiqahkan then died, then the child will not intercede for both parents.
The law of child aqiqah is a muakkad sunnah according to jumhur ulama. So for example we are able, it is highly recommended to hold an aqiqah.
But if our condition is the opposite, that is not capable. So it is okay not to do it, or postpone it.
The best time to implement the ordinance of aqiqah according to the sunnah of the Prophet is on the seventh day after the birth of the baby.
Mentioned in Al-Mawsu’ah Al-Fiqhiyah that if the baby is born during the day, then it includes the first day of seven days. If the baby is born at night, it is not included in the count. The first day is the next day.
The number of goats slaughtered for aqiqah differs between girls and boys. For the aqiqah of the daughters of parents prepare one goat. As for the boy, the old man slaughtered two goats.
This is true in other Islamic laws. Like the law of inheritance, which does teach to exaggerate the male part of women.
Because it will be the man who will be responsible for making a living for his wife and mother's children, and his wife's family.
After being slaughtered, it would be nice for goat meat to be cooked first before being distributed. So that more people can accept.
Speaking of aqiqah, of course it has great benefits for the culprit. For it is impossible for God to command anything in his people, without a benefit.
And, the first benefit of aqiqah is that it can revive the sunah of Prophet Muhammad. Where the Prophet Muhammad also imitated what Prophet Abraham did when he would worship the son, Ismail as.
The second benefit of aqiqah is to protect the child from demonic interference after he is born. When the aqiqah has been implemented, hopefully the child will be better protected from the presence of demons. As explained by Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyah:
That his deliverance from the devil is tempered by his aqiqah.
The third benefit is the ransom for the child. Where it can provide intercession to parents at the end of the day. As explained by Imam Ahmad:
He was forced to intercede for both his parents (with his aqiqah).
The next benefit of running aqiqah is that it can strengthen the rope of brotherhood. Because when running aqiqah there is slaughtering of goats.
Where mutton that has been cut and processed will be distributed. Both to brothers and neighbors. This can strengthen the rope of brotherhood with others.
Approaching Allah SWT
The implementation of aqiqah is able to get closer to Allah SWT. Not only that, this worship is also a form of expression of gratitude for the gift that Allah has given, namely the birth of a child who God willing will be a child who is sholeh and sholehah.
Perhaps that is all I can say about aqiqah. Trust me, taking out our possessions in the way of God, will not diminish our sustenance. But it will add up and multiply.
Is there anything you want to ask?"
After Hajj Dahlan gave a fairly long tausiyah, he gave the audience an opportunity to ask questions.
But, because what has been conveyed by Hajj Dahlan has been very clear and detailed. So no one asked anymore.
Some of the invited guests, some noted the explanation of the old man. There are also those who recorded it. To be able to be played repeatedly. Including Leon's family, did just that.
After seeing and witnessing the live aqiqah event, Leon's family also hoped to hold such an event, when Fatim gave birth.
