The Story of the Children of the Juragan

The Story of the Children of the Juragan
173. The answer to Haji Dahlan

Haji Dahlan took a deep breath before replying.

"Both are equally good, Leon.

Your father wanted to be included in this teaching, based on all his knowledge. So that when he embraced Islam, he could worship properly.

Your opinion is also right.

It is like a story that happened in the days of the Children of Israel. The prophet Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam told his people to be a valuable and exemplary lesson in goodness.

Once upon a time, there was a man who killed 99 souls. Then he regretted and wanted to repent. As well as asking about the knowledgeable person who was there at that time. Then he was shown to him a worship expert.

It turns out that the worshiper is only a worship member, has no knowledge. The monk considered the affair so great that he said, “There is no repentance for you.” The murderous man was angry, and then killed the worshiper. Completely his victims into a hundred souls.

Then he asked again about the scientists in those days. Show him a pious man. Then he asked, was there any penance for him that had killed a hundred souls?

The pious man confirmed, “Ya. Who can stop you from repenting? The door is wide open. But go, leave your land to another land where there are those who worship Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. Don't go back to your village, because your country is a bad country.”

Finally, the man went away. He left his bad hometown in a state of repentance and regretted his deeds and sins.

He left with one determination: to forsake the sin he committed, to improve himself, to fill tomorrow with godly practices in exchange for the tyranny and obedience he had been struggling with.

In the midst of the journey to a good village, bringing with him a myriad of self-improvement passions, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala destined him to die.

The destiny and will of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala jua prevailing. That is the secret of the secrets of Allah, the All-Wise.

It is impossible to ask why He did this or that. However, it is His creatures who will be asked, why they do this and so. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala Maha do whatever He wants.

All that is in the universe, visible and unseen, belongs to Allah azza wa jalla, His creation, and under His supervision and arrangement.

He determines every action of a servant 50,000 years before He created the heavens and the earth.

He gave the device to a servant to do something. He also told the servant in the direction of what He had destined.

The hundred-soul killer was one of God's creatures subhanahu wa ta’ala. He is under His will and control.

The provisions and destiny of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala are certainly applicable to him. His wrongdoing is the destiny of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.

However, then, is it wrong that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala? Is He cruel to His servant?

The answer is sure, no. Not at all. From any side, He is not the unjust Dzat.

What is tyranny? Tyranny is doing things that are not his or hers or putting things out of place.

Who is Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala? And who are we? Whose are we?

We belong to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. He is the One who created and organized us. He knows what is right for His servant. He is All-wise. He put everything in its place. He knows what He has created. He knows what is best for His creation. Allah akbar.

The man died. He died in a state not ‘practice goodh’ even once. He only has the determination to improve himself, to repent of all the mistakes.

It was realized from his desire to ask those who are considered knowledgeable, is there repentance for him?

All of that seemed from his determination to leave behind a dark past, welcoming the light of life and kindness.

How great is the gift of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to him. How great is the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to His servants.

However, how many people do not know, do not even appreciate the favor.

Indeed, if the words of injustice done by the Children of Adam were to be solved by punishment and torment in the world, there would be no more creatures that lay on the face of the earth.

Indeed, had the wrath of Allah been greater than His mercy, no apostle would have been sent, no scripture would have been revealed.

There are no scholars and pious and knowledgeable people who give advice, warning, and guidance. In fact, there will not be a single creature that floats on the face of this earth.

The damage that occurs on this earth, on land and in the ocean, is nothing but the result of human activities. Meanwhile, the chance of life given to them makes them forget, even adding to their iniquity.

It is only a little story that can make a source of enthusiasm to improve ourselves for the better of course.

Do you understand now, son, Leon?"

Not only Leon, but everyone in it took a deep breath and slowly let out. Getting advice from old men in front of him.
