78. Wife-to-be
"Leon, why did you pull my hand so hard? Sick to know." murmured Wulan while throwing the man's hand.
They also had time to stop his steps, because Leon momentarily looked at the girl. And then finally walk again.
In his heart Leon did not like to see Wulan close to the woman who wore the head covering earlier. He was afraid that Wulan would be affected by his words. Getting close to it will be much more difficult.
He realized that he was over thinking. Because the seed of love in his heart had grown as a child.
"Grandma and grandpa are so worried about you. They think her beautiful granddaughter is missing in the kidnap. That's why I'm trying to find you until I see you." lied Leon, to keep looking good in the eyes of his heart.
Leon and Wulan's family asked the girl why she had been in the toilet for so long. But Wulan had not had time to answer, Leon had answered first. That guy is really chatty.
They enjoyed their lunch while talking. Occasionally Wulan looked at the little boy and his mother who was wearing the head covering earlier. But not covered by his eyesight. Until he dodged.
He regretted talking to her long enough but did not know her name and forgot to ask for her phone number as well.
'Gosh. I'm young, why I'm so forgetful. Just remember the name of the child. Anishas. Nice name.' Inner Wulan again.
"Wulan, why have you been running around like you're stalking someone?" ask Leon's mom.
"Eh no Auntie. Wulan just, move the neck just let it not cramp."
Wulan grimaced with reason. And lucky Leon's mom looks to believe him. The proof is that he rounded his mouth like the letter O while muttering.
"How's your job at the office, baby?" ask Leon's mom again.
Wulan also told what he did in the office with a happy twinkle. It was his first time working in an office.
So that he still remembered some of the knowledge that was obtained. Added to his intelligent brain, makes him quickly respond to work affairs.
With blatant both parents Leon praised Wulan who was smart and so passionate to work. He was far from his parents.
And they blatantly compared her son to the girl. So that makes Wulan blush in shame.
Unlike Leon who actually pursed his lips. Because it does not accept comparison. It also brought laughter from his family.
"Eat him, mama has repeatedly advised.you must be the spirit of Leon's work. Losing time with your future wife." teased her mother to Leon. But it succeeded in making Wulan surprised. Until he choked on the sidelines eating it. Leon immediately offered a drink to the girl.
"You want to get married?" wulan asked seriously at Leon after being more comfortable.
And the man nodded his head while smiling at Wulan. I don't know why the girl's heart was happy when her childhood best friend was getting married.
"Congratulations, I'm glad you're getting married soon."
Wulan thrust her hand in front of Leon. The man and everyone who saw was quite surprised by Wulan's attitude. The smile that had been expanding on their faces slowly faded away.
"Aren't you glad I congratulated you?" Wulan asked again.
"Eh, ma_it's not like that. It's just weird. Don't you know who mama meant by my future wife?"
Wulan shook her head seriously. And Leon immediately patted his eel. Their families also hold back laughter seeing the behavior of young people in front of him. Which they find funny.
