The Story of the Children of the Juragan
272. Sleeping on the carpet

Disbursement and roll of waves. As if inviting them to enjoy the saltwater that the beach has.

Papa Adam, papa Marco and Leon take off their clothes. Then they threw themselves on the beach. While the women held a mat, and sat there.

They watched their husbands, who were swimming races. Seeing that, Abidah thrashed.

"Darling, do you want to go there?" Ask Fatim.

"Yes, it looks like Abidah wants to go there. Come on, we're there too." Take mama Margaret, who seems tempted to see the excitement of her son and husband.

"Can, come." Reply to mama Tiwi while standing up and stretching out her hands.

Mama Margaretha and Fatim also stood up. Then the three women walked together towards the beach.

"Hey, do you want to swim too?" Ask papa Marco while shouting.

"Sure dong. Time's been all the way here, no swimming." Mama Margaret replied casually.

The woman put her foot in the water, and dropped herself there. Followed by mama Tiwi. Fatim was still standing, holding Abidah.

"Here come papa, baby." Leon stretched out his hand to capture Abidah.

Papa Adam and Papa Marco approached his family, then sprinkled water on his newly soaked wife.

"How, sweetheart. Is the water fresh?" Leon asked his son.

"Cold." Reply to the toddler, shuddering in the cold. Both of his parents were shocked to see that.

"But you like it, right?" Ask Leo again. Abidah nodded his head.

They play water on the beach while occasionally joking with laughter. Long enough they soak, until their lips begin to bluish.

"Come, let's take a break." Take papa Adam.

They walked towards the shore, and sat there, sipping a refreshing young coconut ice in their throats. Then open the snacks that they have brought from home.

After spending time on vacation, both Salman's family, or Leon's family, returned to doing activities as usual.

And a few days later, Papa Reyhan held a prayer together before leaving for Umrah.

The lecture was attended by his extended family and also his best friend's family.

The magnificent house of Atmaja opa that has been handed over to papa Reyhan, is already full of invited guests. His condition was exactly like the person who held the wedding party. Everyone wears white dress codes.

Papa Reyhan's family also serves a very delicious food menu for invited guests. Because his family really wants to give their best for everything.

Without feeling the time has come at the end of the event. The guests say goodbye home. They pray for each other for the common good.

Finally, the time that awaited arrived. Salman's extended family, and his colleagues are getting ready. Because the next day, they will set out on a long journey to Umrah.

After getting ready, they rolled out a wide carpet, and slept there. I don't know why opa Atmaja asked for that. Although it sounds strange, his family obeyed his wishes. They were happily sleeping on carpets. Because all their ages have never slept on a carpet.

It reminded papa Reyhan of the habits of his family, who often sleep together in front of a mat-based television. If he remembered those times, his heart was so full.

It feels like just yesterday he graduated from school, worked, got married and now has a beautiful grandson.

"Why are you crying, mom?" Laura asked mama in a whisper, not wanting to disturb the others.

Papa Reyhan smiled at his wife, then rubbed his cheeks that still looked tight, even though he was fifty years old.

"I'm reminded of my past, baby. Turns out I've been through so much grief-loving. And I'm grateful to be with you so far. You promised me, wouldn't we always live like we do?"

Mama Laura smiled at her husband, and gently rubbed her cheeks.

"Of course I will live with you, mas. I've accompanied you to this extent, when you still doubt me."

"No, I'll never doubt you. Thanks to you, we have a child who is good at his behavior and can be a good leader in his household."

"Yes, then go to sleep. Tomorrow we'll go umrah together." Papa Reyhan nodded his head, then hugged his wife while closing his eyes.

Not far from papa Reyhan and mama Laura, opa Atmaja and Oma Ani were also whispering.

"Ma, thank you for accompanying papa so far yes. Give birth to children and grandchildren, and educate them, so that they grow up to be good children."

"Why should you say thank you? Isn't it our job to accompany each other as a married couple?"

"That's what mom said. What is clear is that papa is very happy, because our household is always harmonious. And it goes down to our children and grandchildren. May the harmony of our household, continue until our next generation yes, ma."

"Yes, pa. Tomorrow when we arrive in Mecca, you will pray like that."

"Yes, papa too."

"Yep, we're sleeping." Take Oma Ani. She and her husband gave each other their best smiles.
