The Substitute Bride of my Best Friend

The Substitute Bride of my Best Friend
Emergency Patient

"Today what are you doing, Ra?" shaka asked as she sat at the dining table.

"I'll go to the hospital as usual, Ka. It just so happened that Dad asked me to attend a seminar discussion meeting that would be held in one month. Dad wanted me to take part in the event, ", Zahira replied as she poured food on the plate for Shaka. Although she was still hurt by her husband's words yesterday afternoon, she continued to carry out her role as a good wife for Shaka.

"What time is it to go home? Let me pick you up at the hospital. It just so happened that this afternoon I wanted to meet Nicholas, our classmate in second grade High School. You remember him, don't you?"

Zahira seemed to think hard, considering who Nicholas was being talked about by Shaka. Then, he again remembered a crossbred man who was my friend Shaka when they were both still in High School.

"Yes, inget. Are you still communicating with each other until now?" ask Zahira. Little wonder if the two men still gave each other news after they graduated school. As Zahira recalls, Nicholas went on to study in Singapore majoring in technology at one of the famous campuses in the country that is synonymous with the lion icon.

"still. Even though we chose a campus, different majors and separated distance and time, but the relationship between me and him is still intertwined until now." Shaka put food in his mouth. "He called me last night and told me that he was in Indonesia. Then, he invited me to meet. So, I want to take you guys. After that, we just returned to the apartment. It just so happens that it's not that far from the hospital you work at."

Zahira took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. To be honest he did not want to meet anyone in a state of chaotic mood for fear of impact at their meeting later. However, rejecting Shaka's invitation was difficult because he did not want to disappoint the man. Aah ... again and again the beautiful man sacrificed for his beloved husband.

"I came home from work at about two in the afternoon. I'll tell you what time I'll pick up. So, when you arrive at the entrance of the hospital, I'm ready and we can go straight to the location" Zahira said. In the end, he relented and obeyed the husband's request.

Zahira walked down the aisle of the hospital which was only two weeks this became a place for the girl to apply the knowledge she had during her education in the country of Sakura. Although he was born as the son of the hospital's leader, he worked professionally. Do not want to be considered as a golden child and get the privilege of all medical personnel who work at Persada International Hospital.

"Good morning, Doctor Zahira," said one of the nurses who happened to pass by him in the hallway to a special room for IGD doctors.

"Good morning, Sus. Are you going home yet?" Zahira asked kindly. Not to forget, a sweet smile he gave to a woman in a nurse uniform.

"Right, Doc," the nurse replied. "I'll excuse you first, yes, Doc. Come!"

After the female nurse's departure, Zahira swings her legs towards the IGD room. Wearing a white snelli, hair on a Korean woman's thumb and a stethoscope hanging around her neck indicate that she is ready to provide help to patients in need.

Just now the beautiful doctor set foot in the IGD room an announcement over the sounding loudspeakers filled the corner of the room.

"Code blue! Code blue's! South visitor's door," said someone over a loudspeaker.

The loud voice was quite clear in Zahira's ears. "Suster Irma, you come with me while Sister Laras, you stand by here while waiting for Doctor Firman to come," the girl said.

"Okay, Doctor!" said the two female nurses who happened to them got the morning shift schedule almost simultaneously.

Without wasting too long, Zahira walked half-run towards the scene followed by Irma who followed behind while carrying an iron trolley containing a monitor.

"What's going on?" zahira asked shortly after arriving at the scene. He asked for an explanation to one of the three nurses who were doing compression and ventilation.

The nurse, sitting on the top of the patient's head, replied, "The man was unconscious. There is no pulse and no breath. Already given compression, Doc."

"Continue compression and ventilation, then add with ambu bag. Prepare the ambu bag!" titah Zahira while watching a hooded nurse perform chest compressions by massaging the outer heart of the patient (chest compression team).

So, the female nurse in charge of the air way and ventilation team prepares the ambu bag tool. The mask part which is a component of the tool is attached to the face so that the patient's nose and mouth are perfectly covered by the tool.

The purple hijab nurse continued to perform chest compressions for two minutes, after which she re-shrunked the patient's pulse and breathing. However, the patient's pulse and breathing are still absent.

"Prepare ECG monitor and epinephrine injection 1 ml plus 2 cc Nacl infusion." Zahira again gave an edict to two male nurses whose position was on the left right side of the patient.

Before pairing a monitor, first the clothes worn by the patient are removed and then one of the nurses attaches roundabouts or pads on the chest of the patient. From the monitor screen, it can be seen clearly how the patient's heart rhythm.

"Dormitory gun!" said a male nurse.

Asistol is a life-threatening heart rhythm characterized by the absence of electrocardiogram electrical activity. This condition if not treated immediately will cause death.

"Epinephrine injection and Nacl infusion, come in!" the other sahut.

"Continue with advanced airway (ETT)." Zahira seemed so focused. It is clear from his eyeballs that continue to pay attention to his four co-workers while providing assistance to patients diagnosed with cardiac arrest.

Then, a nurse who joined the airway team immediately put an ETT device into the trachea to ensure that the trachea is not closed as the respiratory tract and respiratory air can enter through the lungs. After performing CPR (Lung Heart Resuscitation) for five cycles, the nurse again checked the patient's pulse and breathing.

"Pain palpable and breathing sounded." A nurse tells the patient's current condition after being given help in the form of compression, ventilation and drug therapy.

"Turn the patient into the room. After that we'll monitor the patient's condition again."

After his task was completed, Zahira sat in his chair at IGD while taking a short break before heading to the meeting room. The girl's heart rhythm had been beating faster when handling the patient just now. Although he has the skills and intelligence that are passed down by his parents, but only he feels nervous if he has to face a patient firsthand, especially the patient is included in the emergency department. A little late then someone's life will be lost.

"Doctor Zahira, great euy! I'm amazed as a Doctor" said Irma, lifting two thumbs into the air. The female nurse was amazed when she saw Zahira seemed so focused on giving direction to the four nurses.

Still with the heart beating faster, the girl forced herself to smile. "Thank you for your compliment, Sister. But, I still have a lot to learn again the same senior doctor who is here. My science is nothing compared to other doctors."

"Because ... Doctor Zahira mah is too humble," said Laras. The nurse in white hijab chimed in on the words of her co-worker. Incidentally, the IGD atmosphere is quite quiet so they can chat while joking.

"But I really admire the performance of the Doctor, so responsive and quick to respond." Irma still expressed her admiration for the young doctor figure before her.

"All the doctors on duty at IGD are supposed to be responsive and quick to respond, Sus. Otherwise, the patient's life is not helped. Try to pay attention to Doctor Tasya or Doctor Firman, they also act quickly when getting emergency patients. So, what I did just now is nothing special to be proud of."

Unwilling to drift in the praise of others who even make arrogant, riya and have other liver diseases, Zahira rushed up from her chair. "Suster Irma and Sister Laras, I live first. Afraid of arriving late in the meeting room. Come, Sister!"
