The War of the Demon Controllers

The War of the Demon Controllers
Arc 1 Rescues Riel

Chapter 12's

The same figure as the one Daedalus had seen in his mind. A creature embodied a human being, yet its entire body was formed from a red slime. The Slimonoid Devil lowered his head before Daedalus, not speaking, but feeling like he was waiting for something.

"Please Toras!" daedalus' orders. He realized his body still remained enveloped by the slime of the Slimonoid Devil before him.

Devil Slimonoid nodded. He took Paluwar from Toras then ran after Rouf. His movements were faster than when Daedalus borrowed his strength. Before long, the distance between Rouf and the Slimonoid Devil was further overtaken.

"You are also the Devil's Controller!" maki Rouf, when she realized the Devil Slimonoid came to her. Rouf stopped his steps and then followed the attack of the Demon Slimonoid.

The Slimonoid Devil attacked from the front which Rouf then prepared to fend off, yet it was a trick. With his flexible body, the Demon Slimonoid extended its hand and made a Palu War punch crashing into Rouf from the side.

"No, no!" moo Rouf. He looked staggered, the Frozen Demon Armor where it hit the Hammer of War caused a crack. He tried to fight and split the Slimonoid Devil, but the Slimonoid Devil shrunk dodging. Then he again lashed out the Paluwar from the front, which Rouf again tried to fend off and then his attack shifted direction and hit Rouf again at the same point as before.

The Frozen Demon Armor at that point had ruptured and Rouf spewed blood. The Slimonoid Devil came to him and he sent a punch to the same point again to the helpless Rouf. Rouf was knocked rolling around, this time his internal organs must have been destroyed. His Frozen Demon Armor had completely disappeared from his body as consciousness disappeared.

The Slimonoid Devil raised the Hammer of War high, preparing to deliver the final blow taking Rouf's life. But Daedalus stopped him. "Stop!"

Daedalus did not want to take away the right to life if he did not have to. Rouf had fainted, the road to save Riel had opened wide. The Demon Slimonoid obeyed Daedalus and he went to Lord Puqress who was with Riel.

"Damnah!" Lord Puqress was terrified.

The Slimonoid Devil separated Lord Puqress from Riel and then threw her against the wall. Lord Puqress crashed violently and he was unconscious.

"Riel!" Daedalus hugged his sister. He nodded in thanks to the Slimonoid Devil who had now kneeled back before him.

Riel returned a hug and started crying. "Huhu, brother, I'm scared!"

"Riel is safe, there's a brother here" Daedalus said.

Tael also came shortly after and joined in hugging. "Thank God you're okay, Riel," he said.

The two other girls—adik from Yvonne and son from Lupan— were also there. They look scared. Tael decided to calm down by hugging the two of them. They started crying in his arms.

"What's wrong, Abel," he told Yvonne's sister, "your brother is waiting for us outside. And look, Hella, your father is here too." Tael pointed to Lupan, the father of Hella who was fighting to protect Yogot from other soldiers.

Lupan raised his hand at Tael, as if to say "Good work." On the side of the bodyguards they fought earlier the battle did not end as well, but they did not have to do it. Tael thought about having Daedalus order them to stop and start running away. They have won.

Suddenly the Lord's door opened. A horse hit the door hard and collapsed, the rider had trouble controlling but he did not fall and continued to drive forward. Daedalus recognized the passenger.

Abel exclaims. "Sister!" The girl's face was lively as she watched her brother come.

Yvonne entered then followed by several other horsemen. There are five riders in total, including Yvonne. They stopped and lined up right in the presence of Daedalus, the Demon Slimonoid turning into a standby position.

"What's wrong" said Daedalus. The Slimonoid Devil lowered his vigilance and went back to kneeling. "We won, Yvonne," told Daedalus. But Yvonne just threw a small smile and then her face turned frantic.

"He's a friend" told Daedalus. He was confused by Yvonne's words. "what do you mean Gallam?"

Yvonne was surprised to see Abel, her sister, jump in her arms. He hadn't seen around since. His heart was so lively and happy when he felt the warmth of Abel's embrace. Abel was crying in his arms.

"It's okay, it's okay" said Yvonne briefly. He spoke to Daedalus. "We need to get out of here before the whole army and city guards come to surround us. I'm sure Gallam would have done it."

Lupan—along with Yogot trained—coming. "I already knew that Smit Warrior would bring trouble again! You should have killed him when you could!"

Yogot groaning. "Here it is, all is done." He released the standing aid from Lupan. His body staggered and fell. Tael immediately came to his side and helped him stand up.

Letting the Warriors and City Guards surround them in the God's Residence was not a good thing. There are several ways out of the Lord's Residence, but there is only one way out that can be passed by horse— ie Entrance— escape without horses will only make them exposed to the streets and trapped in the city. Execution awaits them.

Yvonne was setting up their horse riding formation. He mounted his horse and immediately took his sister with him, securing the rescue efforts of the two of them first. "There are only five horses, the horse can accommodate two to three people. Ride as much as you can" said Yvonne.

Daedalus looked at one horse and a slave, he summoned the Demon Slimonoid and Riel to ride. At first Riel was worried and awkward, but the Demon Slimonoid patted Riel's shoulder and pointed at her non-existent mouth, saying as if, "Ga bite."

Then the rest of the horses were rode by Lupan, Hella—kannya—and a slave. Then the last horse was brought Daedalus to Yogot. "You go up." Yogot followed his orders. Then Tael went up to guard the Yogot.

The last horse was rode by himself, a slave and Toras whom Daedalus had helped ride—his pulse was thinning, his blood had stopped, but most importantly he was still alive.

"What about the others?" ask Tael. He saw the other slaves who were still fighting here and there for their lives against the soldiers and also some slaves who could not topple Bedivere even though the figure did not bring Paluwar anymore—their battle was seen it's gonna be over soon. Not to mention the slaves they left behind. "What about mom and dad?"

Yvonne sighed. "The plan doesn't fit and we have to improvise, those left behind have to follow on foot. About your parents, it's a little difficult. What matters is that we first have to get out of this town."

Daedalus agreed to Yvonne, although Tael hesitated not to protest at the decision. The five horses were ready.

Yvonne bulldozed his horse. "Everything! We've won and we need to get out of here! Towards the north gate!"

The boy who had ganged Bedivere looked at the sound and retreated, leaving Bedivere still full of energy ready to serve them all. The horses advanced, the other slaves followed on foot.

"Come, run!"

"We won!"

The slaves exclaimed happily following the horses. They darted forward, their entrance passed and they had made it to the field. Safety and freedom have been inhaled in the respiratory cavity. But the scent of freedom turned into the scent of resentment and anger.

In the vast field, from the direction of the slave settlement, the Gallam Warrior arrogantly exclaimed. "Where are you going? You guys forgot something!"

The five horses stopped, the running slaves also did the same. All eyes were on him. All pairs of eyes narrowed furiously.Especially Daedalus, Tael and Riel wrathfully enveloped them.

Gallam Soldiers lined up followed by dozens of Soldiers and City Guards with him. Some also appear to be knight classes such as Ser Gholam and Ser Corvark and each of them holds slaves hostage who did not participate in the attack. The families of the slaves—the wives and children. The Lupan and Hella families. Including Daedalus' mother, Aurie.

The Gallam Warrior began to speak haughtily. "Do you know who this is, slave?" Gallam soldier threw a head. The head rolled and landed under the foot of Daedalus' horse. That's Daep's head, his father. "Next your mother."
