Chapter 9's
It is like an ancient story where a dozen heroes work together to bring down the tyranny of the Dragon. So did Daedalus feel in him as he, Yogot, Lupan and his sister Tael surrounded Rouf from four directions. And in the ancient stories it was the hero who won. They started attacking.
Daedalus confidently led the assault. With a dagger in his hand and body shrouded in borrowed power from Devil— who made his movements become faster and more precise—he stabbed Rouf. Rouf greeted him with a high slash of a great sword, in the eyes of Daedalus the slash was quite slow. It was enough for him to dodge to the side and immediately give a stab to Rouf's chest.
The clink of iron crashing into the iron sounded. Daedalus' dagger stopped in place, unable to penetrate Rouf's Frozen Demon armor. Rouf chuckled. “Hah!” yells. He punched Daedalus, forcing Daedalus away and distance himself. “Even if I were empty-handed, you wouldn't be able to pierce through my Frozen Demon's armor with your rustic knives.”
He's correct. Rouf's Frozen Demon Armor was rough and heavy, Daedalus knew it as he stabbed. He needed something sharper or heavier to break through. Butwhat?
But Rouf did not allow Daedalus to think long. He slashed the width of his great sword.
“Composed!” Daedalus.
The slash of the sword slashed at whatever was before him. Tael and Lupan shrewdly looked down to avoid, but Yogot with his thick body did not have enough time. Almost as the blade of the sword split itself, Daedalus crashed into Yogot and made the two of them lie on the floor. Saved his life.
“Ngeri!” exciting Yogot. “Thank you Daedalus, if you are not there I could split.”
“Thanks later,” says Daedalus. He pulled Yogot up. In front of them still stood a formidable Rouf. He walked, eerily, towards Daedalus. “tumbuk first this person only we say thank you to each other.” Rouf slashed towards him, Daedalus dodged. “For now we must focus!”
Rouf again attacked Daedalus. Slashing upwards, stabbing, slashing wide even kicking at him. Rouf's attack is dangerous and fatal if Rouf can base a single attack on him. However, Rouf's Frozen Demon Armor slowed his movements, not helping him fight Daedalus with the Slimonoid Devil who made his movements flexible and agile.
Seeing Rouf focusing on Daedalus, Tael stabbed him in the back. Lupan also did the same, but the result was no different from the puncture that Daedalus did.
“You're rusty blades won't get through me!” exclaim Rouf. He slashed towards Tael and Lupan, forcing them away.
Daedalus saw the situation. Looking for a way, yes, he had to find a way to break through the Frozen Demon Armor Rouf. Butwhat? Daedalus looked at his Pomegranate, looking at his subconscious where the Slimonoid Devil was prostrating to him. What could a pliable slime do against the Frozen Demon's hard armor? He can't think of anything.
Only Daedalus saw around where the other slaves were fighting against some of the soldiers. Their number is 5:2, the slave wins the sum. Two slaves was the equivalent of one soldier who was shocked by the attack. But some took the attention of Daedalus, a soldier who protected a nobleman from the invasion of slaves.
With his Hammer alone he drove out and destroyed the invading slaves. He managed to protect his nobles, Daedalus concluded the soldier was his personal bodyguard. He lightly crushed the slave who came with his Hammer, hitting it hard like he was destroying the walls of a stone house.
Hammerof war.... Yep! That's her! Daedalus knew one thing, always a sharp object to penetrate something thin and always a blunt object to penetrate something thick. He has an idea. But Rouf who was chasing Tael and Lupan made her worry. They're not as fast as he is.
Rouf turned his attention to the stocky Yogot. He attacked, but Yogot first lunged at Rouf and brought their battle to the ground. “Aaah!”
Yogot is on top of Rouf. He threw a punch at his opponent but Frozen Demon armor flowed and enveloped Rouf's face. Yogot's hand was broken and he groaned in pain. Rouf smiled complacently and slammed the Yogot, they switched positions.
Daedalus came kicking Rouf, removing him from squeezing Yogot. If it wasn't for his Slimonoid Devil, Daedalus' leg would have been broken. “Dangerous for you to face it,” said Daedalus. “we need Paluwar belonging to one of the noble guards to penetrate his armor. I'll buy time, now go!”
Yogot groaned in pain and went to Lupan and Tael. They monitor the surroundings first before Tael appoints an individual. “He's got Paluwar!” Then they left. “Hold, bang! We'll be quick!”
Daedalus looked at Rouf who had risen from his fall. Rouf spat on the ground. “You pissed me off!” yells. Rouf came to him and Daedalus got ready. “I'll crush you!”
As Daedalus danced with Rouf, Tael's flock approached the royal guard. They came to the side of the Lord's Residence building, close to the exit. There were dozens of slaves swarming the guard and his nobles like wolves swarming their prey. But unfortunately their prey is mighty like a bull, can not be toppled, undaunted, not afraid even though it has been surrounded to the back of the wall there is no running road.
One slave crushed his head, Lupan shuddered in horror. “We're told to take the hammer? She?”
Yogot gulped, his broken right hand he had been holding since. “His body is as big as mine, but compare me and him. I'm full of fat while he's muscle all!”
Tael agrees. The same height as Rouf and Touf, but his body was as wide as Yogot. Tael believed that even if a bull took the man on a duel, he would still bet on the man's victory. But he can't back down now.
“Our success in taking Paluwar means our success in saving my brother and my sister,” Tael said. He stared at Lupan deeply. “also the success of saving your son, sir Lupan.”
After hearing Tael's words, Lupan slapped both of his cheeks. He picked up a sword from a fallen soldier. “You're right, Tael, you're right! For my son.” He advanced first, but as he followed the crowd of slaves in attack, a slave— who was hit by the Paluwar guard was— thrown at him. Lupan caught the slave who had broken his neck.
“Please ...” exclaim the slave, his hoarse voice enduring the pain.
Lupan released the slave and returned to Tael. “But how to!”
Tael took out one sword belonging to another soldier and he stared deeply at the bodyguard. He was so mighty, as to topple him did not appear one possibility on Tael's head. But he didn't have to kill her. “We only need the Hammer, we don't need to kill him,” Tael said.
“Taking the property of the dead seems easier than taking the property of the living, Tael. See this sword? It belongs to the soldier who has died,” tell Lupan.
Tael shook his head, he looked at his two comrades. “But what if that person we make a choice between his two treasures? Which treasure would he choose?”
“What are you talking about?” ask Lupan for confusion. Yogot is just as confusing.
Then Tael whispered the plan to their ears. And they nodded in agreement. “The success of this plan is on Yogot.” Tael looked down lethargic. “And this plan is very dangerous for you.”
Yogot patted Tael's shoulder. “There is no danger that is not worth passing for a friend!” He's gathering guts. “Now let's do!”
