Dayat whistled open the gate of his brother's house. Almost two hours away from learning to drive with Tina, making her come back with a face.
“Set—set—set, easy turns out,” said Dayat, while demonstrating the movement of driving a car. “That's hard to find money buy his car.” Dayat chuckles alone.
By noon and his stomach was starting to feel hungry. On the road last night he had imagined the side dish that Tini left in the closet for them. When he opened the front door, Dayat flinched. Holding his chest that completely slipped for a moment.
Dayat imagined Evi had rested in his room, in fact his brother was sitting in the living room alone and stared intently as he opened the door.
“Ngagetin me aja,” said Dayat, patting his chest. “Why not take a break to the room? Evi has eaten?” tanya Dayat, step into the living room.
“Mbak Evi has eaten? If your language is like that there is usually a slip of guilt in your heart,” said Evi. “I haven't eaten. Why come here and eat alone? Mending me at my boarding house. Ask to be won, but you're out. If you can be alone, why ask me here?” Evi grunts pursing her lips looking at Dayat.
“I'm not used to being alone. Coming home to a house where no one else is a bit strange. I'm used to waiting, Ma'am. Just now I was quick to drive because I felt you were waiting for me at home. The feeling of waiting always makes me feel like I have to go home as soon as possible,” explained Dayat.
“Udah done talking? I laper,” said Evi, standing up from the guest chair and walking to the back.
Dayat held both shoulders of her brother from behind and pushed slowly Evi into the dining room. “Let's eat,” take Dayat.
“Where are you going? Let me go,” said Dayat, taking two dishes from the cupboard and putting them on the table. “Try this, Ma'am.” Dayat opens the closet and Evi looks over.
“Why?” ask Evi.
“I can fit all my face into this closet. And Mbak Tini still needs a tiptoe,” said Dayat, laughing.
“Mbak Tini just left this morning. But you miss. It's your style to ask Mbak Tini a vacation far and long,” said Evi relaxed.
“Who misses?” tanya Dayat, took out the side dishes and arranged them.
“I know,” timpal Evi.
Dayat was silent and served Evi lunch as if she was the host there.
“After eating want me to take the room tour to my room? Room with the best view of the complex.
Because Evi had no intention of going anywhere that afternoon, as Dayat promised earlier, the young man took his brother to the balcony of the room overlooking the front street.
“Enak also, yes, your room. This chair must be here?” evi asked, pointing at a chair by the window.
“Iya. Intentionally. On the chair was born some songs from the old guitar that I brought from the village.” Dayat flicked the window curtain and glared staring out. Suddenly he closed the window curtain as quickly as possible until it made a creaking sound that surprised Evi.
“What's up?” evi asked, trying to look forward.
“That's Tina. He was wearing binoculars squirming here.” Dayat hugged his own body. "I have to close all these windows if I want to change. Or .... all this time he has been satisfied staring at all parts of my body?” ask Dayat again to yourself.
“Udah, Yat. Enough already. Come on, let's get down. If later here, it can be the length of your drama,” said Evi, get out of Dayat's room and step down the stairs.
“Mbak Tini about already what not, ya” asked Dayat who walked behind Evi.
“Udah nyampe's. Just sent a message to me. By the way, if you have reached the hospital to see his mother Mas Wibi,” explained Evi.
“Thank God,” murmur Dayat.
***
Wibi put the back of her hand on Tini's forehead. “Not hot,” murmur Wibi.
"Kowe gek fill iki, Tin. (You're pregnant, Tin.)” Wibi's mother looked at Tini's face carefully. Then his eyes shifted to Wibi. "Mother sure Tini is content. Kono tumbas test equipment, pharmacy hospital stuffing open. (Mom sure Tini's pregnant.there buy the test kit. Hospital dispensary is still open.)
"Dikon tumbas saiki iseh takon wae. Dhisik. Ora loss to nek dicobo ki. (Solicited to buy now a lot of nanyanya. Purchased first. Kan, no loss if tried.)” Wibi's mother held up her special seat to nag her son.
Tini nodded at Wibi for her husband to go to the pharmacy immediately, following their parents' request.
After Wibi's death, Tini is busy with her own thoughts. A little worry about him. What if her mother-in-law is wrong? It could be just the feeling of Wibi's mother who was expecting grandchildren from them.
Wibi reappeared with a white plastic bag bearing the name of the hospital dispensary. Direct thrusting the same Tini with a flat face. This is a little misbehaving. But then Wibi's mother changed her position. Put a pillow behind his back and stare at the bathroom.
“Oh, yes. I'm into this first, Mas.” Tini let out an indistinct voice while saying that. His hand pulled Wibi's fingertips to follow him.
“Eh, yes, already. I wait,” said Wibi, standing in front of the bathroom door.
“Buy how many test tools?” ask Wibi's mother.
“Buy two aja. Two, right, that's enough,” says Wibi.
Heard his mother grumbling and saying that it was very little. Wibi ignores her mother's nagging by knocking on the bathroom door.
Not until three beats, Tini's face appeared from behind the door. Wibi's eyebrows shot up, looking at Tini for answers.
“Hasile ngene, Mas …. (The result is gini, Mas ...)” Tini held out the two test kits she wore to Wibi.
Wibi took the test results and matched them with the pictures on the packaging.
“Kene, I want to take a look. (Here, I want to see.)” Wibi's mother's hands were shaking impatiently. Wibi approached and brought the pedestal closer to her mother. “Lha .. tenan crap Mom. Loro Iki line, Bi. (No, that's exactly what I said. This two line, Bi.)”
Tini and Wibi looked at each other. Both wanted to hug but hugged. Tini wanted to drag her husband out of the room for a moment, but she had no reason. But ….
“Mas, where was the package? I brought it, right?” tanya Tini, rounding her eyes looking at her husband.
“What package, Tin? It's not there.” Wibi looked down, at the table, and around the room. But did not see the package as intended by Tini.
“Come, help me find,” said Tini, dragging Wibi's arm out of her mother's ward.
“What—” package Still a step from the front of the door, Wibi did not continue his speech. He was silent for a moment as Tini hugged his waist.
“I'm so full. Tak kiro awake dewe gur wong loroan ngasi tuwo. (I am very happy. I guess we'll both continue until old.)” Tini put her cheek on Wibi's chest. The man also wrapped his hands around Tini's body. They were holding back the walls of the VIP ward that was occupied by Wibisono's mother.
Wibisono kissed the top of Tini's head. “Masio enek ten childrenke, nek wis tuwo, awke dewe iki yo tetep wong loroan, Tin. The boys must nduweni dalan uripe dewe-dewe. Sing ende mung ono I'm karo your crew. (While there are ten children, if we are old, we will still be both, Tin. children must have their own lives. Finally it's just you and me.)”
“Iyo, Mas …. Sing important saiki I'm iso mateni alarm. (Important now I can turn off the alarm.)” Tini closed her eyes and tightened her embrace.
“Alarm opo? (What alarm?)” Wibi looked down at Tini's head.
"Alarm nggugah middle wengi, nggo ngobok-ngobok kowe, Mas. (Alarm wake up in the middle of the mall to snobok you, Mas.)”
To Be Continued
Tini Suketi will be finished 3-4 part again. He was happy. His dreams have been achieved and his dreams realized one by one. The story of Dayat cannot be continued here. Because Dayat belongs to the genre of men's novels (such as Genk Duda Akut/male main character). I'll write it another time. Because writing it needs ideas and materials that I need to collect.
I stayed in the romantic comedy genre first.
Next I would love to write a lively novel in NovelToon. Third person theme. Did Boeboe not wonder if juskelapa nulis novel so how the result? 🤭😆
Thank you for Boeboo's time together.
