Under The Rain's

Under The Rain's
Chapter 11—Krisna

“Invitation from whom?” kris asked when he saw Reva reading the contents of the card which was coated with a hologram sticker.

“My friend, next door neighbor.”

“Eight years?” Kris frowned as soon as he looked inside the card and saw the number eight on it. “You're friends with an eight-year-old?”

“What's the reason?”

“Nothing, anyway. Must be interesting, huh? You are hard to make friends.”

“Ya, he's good, anyway. And he's interested in art, like you.”

“Wah, can I polish as an artist if it is.”

“Already, his parents malesin.”

“Indeed why? Who's her parents?”

Oh, naw! Reva was restrained for a moment. It was a misstep he felt. He should not have talked about Kaia's parents to Kris. The man had sworn that if one day he could find Rafael, he would beat him all out. Kris is a street fighter, he will not hesitate to tease Rafael without mercy, let alone he has many friends.

Actually, Kris doesn't know anything about Rafael. I don't know his name, especially apparently. When Reva tells her that she is pregnant, Reva never mentions Rafael by name. Absolutely not showing his picture or giving the slightest information about him to Kris. Reva just said that the culprit is ‘former girlfriend’. It's been. That'sallthatis. He did not tell the whole story at all, because he was never comfortable indulging in his problems in detail, especially until gossip was unclear. Reva has always been like that, shutting her up from others.

Chris did not force either. He understood it must have been hard for Reva to remember and discuss the man who had so cruelly ruined her life. However, Chris promised at that time. Swear in his heart that if he finds the ‘ ex-girlfriend’, he will give a lesson that will never be forgotten in his lifetime. And that was indeed only natural, because Kris clearly witnessed the unfortunate tragedy experienced by Reva. How the woman was hurt until her soul was broken into pieces. How he was thrown helpless.

Reva knew that Kris wasn't playing with her words. Kris looked very serious, and he thought it was terrible. I don't know what's going to happen, even imagining that Reva can't. Therefore, he kept the identity of Rafael from Kris closed.

“Udah, deh, it is not important to discuss next door neighbors,” said Reva who was sitting next to Kris, and began leaning on the man's chest to distract him.

Kris hugged and stroked her hair back, and unceasingly kissed Reva's head. The more days it feels like he is falling in love with that woman. Reva's past does not affect her at all, because her own past is also colored with various sad stories and sometimes too embarrassing to tell. However, Kris is a good man. He accepted Reva with open arms, and loved her completely.

“If so, talk about us, how?” kris whispered softly right in Reva's ear.

Reva fell silent again and began to take a deep breath in peace. That discussion again.

Weddings. The true sacred promise. A life-long relationship. Reva has been avoiding conversations on the topic for the past year. During that time Kris often gave a code that he was ready to get married. Chris wants to go home. Kris wants to live with Reva forever. However, Reva was not ready at all. The pieces in his heart were still many that disappeared somewhere. And when the pieces were finally found, Reva still had to rearrange them properly so that they would be made whole again. Reva is not unloving of Kris. However, the trauma was still deeply attached to his soul, and he did not want to hurt Kris because of it.

“Kris—”

“Sorry ...”

“It’s okay. I'll keep it by your side as long as you heal.”

“Sorry, Kris. I didn't expect it to be this bad either.”

“Still feeling sick, yes?”

Be ill. So hurt. Moreover, the monster had already lived very close to him. His aura was even felt when Reva slept at night. Shadows endlessly. The nine years that had passed seemed meaningless, evaporated just like that. Reva hates the fact that she still shakes every time she meets Rafael, as she desperately wants to be free from the horrible man. Reva started hating herself because of it.

While taking a deep breath, Reva shifted her sitting position so that she was more comfortable enjoying the embrace of Kris. He began to wrap his hands around the man's waist, and they clenched closer together.

“I don't know what my life would be without you,” said Reva softly in the caress of her lover.

“I'm lucky to meet you. Before you, my life was not clear. It doesn't even mean anything.”

“Don't say that, honey. You are a good person, you mean to make many people.”

Not many people know that Chris has a dark past. His parents had been separated since he was a child, and every time they met, it was only a matter of money and money. Kris is not considered, not taken care of, entrusted to his uncle and aunt just like that when he was a teenager. Because it was not good to ride, Kris began to look for his own income while in school.

The association had plunged Kris deep enough into the night world. Kris knew cigarettes and alcohol before he was an adult. At that time, one of his jobs was as a jockey billiard. He is paid quite high if he can win the game. Other work at the night bar also brought him closer to alcohol.

Kris postponed two years before he could go to college like his schoolmates. During that time, he worked and raised money to be able to continue his education, because he knew a diploma could get him a better job. It's just that, even when he was preoccupied with the course, he could not escape from his night life. Kris is like finding a home on the streets, and an inner calm in alcohol.

The literacy class that officially opened on his campus decades ago became the place where Kris discovered Reva for the first time. At that time, Reva was enrolled as an Industrial Engineering student, while Kris majored in Visual Communication Design. Their buildings are far apart, from end to end. Fortunately, interest in the world of authorship in Kris and Reva became a magnet to unite them in a literacy class.

Falling in love at first sight, Kris thinks Reva is beautiful. Her skin was brightly clean, in stark contrast to her long, thick black hair. It has sharp eyes and a firm jawline. Despite his fierce gaze as if he was about to kill someone, when speaking his voice sounded extremely soft. Kris couldn't stand it. He was determined to approach her even though Reva always put up a firm defense against strangers by showing coldness and his feet.

Slowly Reva began to talk. Started to respond to Kris with his bases even though sometimes he was reluctant. Actually Reva only showed her respect because Kris was a senior, but that alone was enough to make Kris have fun. From those conversations, Kris finally finds out that Reva is in need of a job.

Inevitably, in addition to being a reading and writing friend, Kris and Reva become co-workers. Because of this, Kris always recommends jobs where he also dabbles in them. Slowly he begins to obsess over Reva, when she has just been in a relationship with Rafael without Kris knowing.

The tragedy that Reva experienced was a blessing for Kris, because without the misfortune, Kris would not have had it. The more Reva is tormented by her ex-boyfriend, the deeper the woman falls in her arms. That is what if there is in the wild mind of Kris. It's okay if after nine years that Reva still hasn't opened herself completely, Kris will still wait.

The thin thread between obsession and love was the thing that Kris felt at the time. Unknowingly, during that time he had been toying with the trauma that Reva had. There is a certain satisfaction for Kris when she sees Reva being paranoid about her past. That is, he will never go back there no matter what. Reva has to stay that way. He had to run as far away from his first love as possible. Kris was determined to himself that Reva always was.
