Under The Rain's

Under The Rain's
Chapter 51—Blind Spot

The shrubbery and leaves from the catapult tree could almost hide Rafael's entire body, but Reva could still see the shoots of his head clearly as he peered over the perimeter wall. The man stood there, waving his hand and smiling jail, and the panicked Reva immediately turned to and fro, making sure that her husband had actually left.

“What are you doing there, El?”

“Can we chat? I know Kris is gone.”

“Udah crazy you, yes!”

“Come on, just a minute. Please ...”

“You know where?” is from

“Soal blind spot? From Erin. Come ... I can climb, yes?”

The man's persuasion interspersed with a sweet arch on his lips made Reva unable to bear, eventually he coded a sign that his uninvited guest was allowed in.

“Come, up!” edict Reva with a small nod, which Rafael immediately greeted with vigor up the fence.

That is, Rafael finally managed to land in the yard of Reva's house and he clucked in awe. “Your garden is cool, deh!”

Reva who was getting riled up as she had just put another man into her house immediately gave a rude snort. “It's not time to talk park! What do you want to do here?”

Rafael did not care, even he started to step around looking around.

“DO NOT MOVE!” pekik Reva held the man's arm tightly. “I've said, ‘kan, if there is CCTV here? Don't move from this spot! We'll get caught on camera!”

Rafael just laughed amusedly while looking at the woman who was widening her eyes in front of him. “Where if I tell you something?”

Reva still did not understand why the man responded so casually. “You know what?” inquiringly.

“That all the CCTV in this house does not work properly, you know.”

For universe! What did that guy just say? CCTV's dead? How could? Reva just looked at him full of question marks.

“You forgot, huh, that I was amazing? I can manipulate the CCTV network, so you're safe from your husband's watch now.”

“You mean? Can't Kris live stream from her phone?”

“Iya.”

“Isn't that a danger? He will panic and rush home when he finds out his CCTV is dead!”

“Kris can see you there, Yi. All he would watch was replayed recordings of yesterday. You can set yourself to show which one.”

At first Reva did not believe that Rafael could do such a thing, but he soon realized that the man was indeed a genius in the field of IT.

“I mean, you're a hacker now?” seloroh Reva was surprised.

“Eh? That's it, huh?” Rafael did not want to respond too much, he just joked while stepping out of a narrow spot behind a golden tree surrounded by leaves of the elephant's ears that were not reached by the camera.

Well, how else. Reva is speechless, although he is honestly relieved that Rafael can indeed do cool things like hijacking the CCTV security system in his own house.

“Ya already, want how again,” resigned Reva who also began to step into the house. “In the cold outside, enter aja.”

Rafael followed the woman's footsteps into a small industrial-style building with a minimalist natural touch, and Reva immediately went to the kitchen located right near the back door to make her new guests a glass of welcome drink.

Raphael praised the house in his heart. Seeing the location and layout, he was sure that it was indeed a kind of dream house Reva. Unfortunately, he was not sure if the hostess was really happy to be in there or not.

Shortly thereafter, Reva returned with two glass bells containing ice basil that looked refreshing, even though the day was feeling very cold.

“Drink first, nih. Coincidentally yesterday I made this ice when I came home from the market.”

“You made a new library also here?” rafael asked as he picked up one of the books on the shelf. The book is called To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

“Yes, the result of crunching books again for four years,” replied Reva followed Rafael towards the bookshelf.

“Why did you decide to become a writer? You, ‘kan, engineering boy?”

“What's the reason?”

“Nothing, anyway. Just ask doang.”

Reva is upset once everyone questions his commitment and credibility as a writer. Yes, he used to be an engineering major. He was very crazy about physics, but his love for literature has also grown since childhood. Reva has never been absent from visiting the library even since she was still in elementary school.

If only everyone understood that the cool writers all over the world came from various backgrounds. Agatha Christie, for example, who worked as a nurse before giving birth to various works of genius. George Orwell, who was a policeman, could also be a legendary writer. Not to mention the famous scientist Arthur Conan Doyle with his worldwide Sherlock Holmes series. According to Reva, anyone can be a writer as long as they are really willing to learn.

Never mind. Importantly, for a dozen years since he was forced to leave the campus, Reva can finance his own life. He can still express his love for physics through his books.

That day felt very special, even without Reva noticing. After a silly argument about the author, they begin to read books together and discuss absurd things from alien invasions to pineapple opinions as pizza toppings. There is also a psychological explanation of the stirred porridge and the porridge is not stirred, and do not miss the theories about where the dragon fire breath comes from.

Not satisfied with just books, they began to plunge into the kitchen and drain the contents of the refrigerator Reva to find cooking ingredients. Long debating makes the stomach of the two also rumbling no less excited with voices that are understated. At that time they found various types of vegetables and side dishes in the refrigerator, then immediately sparked the idea to make warm sukiyaki in the air that freezes the soles of the feet. It does not take long until the suki sauce is available, complete with chili oil and dumpling sauce that looks tempting. The kitchen, which for four years was quiet and stiff, suddenly became very crowded because the two continued to talk and joke with laughter.

At that moment, for the first time after the thousand full moon had passed, Reva finally laughed back. His ridiculous and genius Rafael has returned. Friends talk random things since he was a child that have come back to him. Reva did not realize that she had been chuckling and cracking up in front of the man. All the unimportant things just sound funny to shake the stomach of both.

Ironically, it was never felt even when Reva was with her own husband. That joyous laughter full of true happiness never appeared even when she was in the presence of her own husband. Reva was very flowery that day. The day that Rafael was by his side as far as the eye could see.

As the afternoon approaches, a small drizzle descends along with a thick gray fog that begins to envelop the peak of Merapi. The empty stomach was already filled to the brim, and the debate moved to the back porch where they could enjoy the heavy rain that was soon to come. The two creatures sat next to each other on a wooden swing with a bench wide enough.

The roof of the terrace is not how wide makes them still splashed with increasingly hard rain. But no one cares. They continued to talk as if the longing was unstoppable. It was as if there was no more tomorrow, and all the sense had to be spent right then and there. When it all just flows, it throws with rainwater that falls from space into the mountain valley.

His clothes were soaking wet, and Rafael immediately thought of throwing out the crazy idea he had long wanted to express.

“Rain again, yuk?” take the man with eyes full of hope.

Of course Reva could not answer when stared at like that. When Rafael's fingers began to caress his face, revealing his wet thick hair to be inserted behind the earlobe. The man's gaze actually kept him warm, even when the air around him felt extremely cold, and Reva willingly drifted down in it.

“Come, Yi. We're raining regular kayaks!”

That time Rafael invited more enthusiastically, when his first persuasion was only answered by daydreams without a blink in the face of the woman who was sitting in front of him. Without waiting for long, he immediately pulled on Reva's wrist and they stepped into the outer part of the house's backyard day.

The park is square shaped. In the south is the terrace of the tile-floored house where the wooden swing is located, while in the north is a waist fence that borders it with a garden belonging to no one. There are only wild plants with small rivers flowing. Then, the left and right sides of the courtyard are beautifully arranged by tropical trees, complete with fish ponds and fountains.

In fact, the place is really narrow if used for dramatic dancing a la Bollywood movies. The room left to stand is just a small spot in the middle of the park, because the other area is already crowded by pots and tree trunks. But Rafael doesn't care. He held Reva's waist and led her into the middle of the courtyard, and there they stood face to face.

The black dress of Reva was already completely wet until the silhouette of her body splashed clear. The rain was no longer ashamed to pour out violently, and the dark sky became bright because of the glowing streak of lightning. Rafael began to pull Reva's waist to stand near her. One of the man's arms was on his back, and the other was holding each other's hands, clinging from finger to finger. The distance between their faces was no more than a inch, although Reva had to look up while Rafael looked down due to the height difference.

The deafening thunderbolt for some people actually sounds like a musical accompaniment that accompanies two pairs of legs dancing under the rain. The feet are small steps. Take two steps, then go back three steps. Move to the left side, then turn to the right. An intimate and warm sluggish dance, which could even make them momentarily forget the bone-chilling cold wind of Merapi.

Although the rain curtain continued to interject between the two of them, those intense gazes continued to meet each other. No one wants to take their eyes off each other. Raphael occasionally lamented the head of the woman parallel to his neck, and landed a kiss here and there. Reva's pale lips even made the man almost go crazy. No, the lips are not thick sexy or red seductive like the lips of public figures on television. However, from the lips it always came out words that made him excited. From the lips came a subtle sound that always made him miss. Unfortunately, the owner of the lips always avoids when the object is about to be approached.

It was almost dark, but Reva had not willing the slow dance in the man's embrace to end, though she was haunted by the constant guilt of crashing at her without wanting to rest. Reva understands that maybe Kris is fighting it out there to protect the crew and the project. Reva knew that her husband was going through a difficult time. It made him very depressed because on the other hand, he no longer knew how to release his hands that were coiling on the body of the man before him.

“El ... You don't want to go home?” his hiss on the sidelines gurgled the rain that slammed on the ground.

“No, Yi,” replied Rafael while stroking the woman's hair.

“But, El .. You know that you can't be here too long.”

“I know, Yi. I just don't know what else to do.”

Reva understood Rafael's feelings. He also did not want to be separated that night. The night he had been waiting for for nearly fifteen years had finally come. The night that has been present in response to the screams of the heart that invariably invokes those memories to return. That night proved that the love between the two never went away, even growing stronger as time went on. How could Reva just let go of all that just because the clock hand kept ticking to the right and the day was about to change?
