on May 2, 2018, all 3rd graders were asked to come to school because there would be an announcement regarding graduation. All the third graders attended school except Elina, after that day I never saw Elina again.
At 07.45 WIB, all third-graders gathered on the basketball court, the Headmaster standing on the podium holding a microphone.
“Good morning, everyone.” The headmaster, opened his speech by greeting all the students who were lined up before him.
The headmaster stood firmly on the podium, with a thick mustache that almost covered his thin upper lip. She smiled as if proud of her children, a happy hue radiating in her confident eyes.
“Good morning, Sir.” All students at the same time.
“You have reached the end of the learning process that you received during the last 3 years at SMAN Sebangsa Jakarta and today you will know the results of your hard work for 3 years. Previously, I want to thank you for choosing this High School as the right anchored you in school, I hope that what you learn can help you to face the whole world, he said, once again I as a representative of SMAN Sebangsa Jakarta thank you for your trust in this SMA.” Said the Headmaster, his voice was trembling.
“I am proud to say that the whole class 3 of the school year 2017/2018 passed!” the headmaster continued, smiling warmly.
All the disciples, cheering happily at the news that they graduated even some were crying because they were too happy to hear the news.
“Khen, we pass!” so happy, I immediately hugged Khenzie.
“Iya, Syan.”Khenzie welcomes my embrace.
My eyes opened wide, realizing that I was in Khenzie's arms. I immediately let go of my hug from Khenzie while clearing my throat suddenly felt very awkward.
“I ask Arsyana Chalondra, to come forward and stand beside me.” The Headmaster asked me to stand next to him, on the podium.
I went forward without knowing what was really going on, everyone looked at me, I felt awkward. I followed the Headmaster's orders to stand beside him, I smiled awkwardly from the top of the podium while looking at all the disciples lined up before me.
“She is a student who is always proud of Mr. Burhan, a student who is always involved in every physics Olympiad by. Every time you register Arsyana's name, Mr. Burhan always says the same to me..” The Headmaster looked at Mr. Burhan, who was standing behind us with the other teachers.
I saw Mr. Burhan smiling at the headmaster then he glanced at me while nodding his head slowly.
“Connected Mr. Burhan is here, we hear it directly from his mouth. The words she always told me about Arsyana, her proud student.” Headmaster, ask Mr. Burhan to join him.
Mr. Burhan approached the Headmaster, the Headmaster gave the microphone to Mr. Burhan. Mr. Burhan's eyes glazed over at me, but he tried to show me all his warmth.
“I am sure he can, I believe with the spirit that radiates in his eyes, eyes that always show the belief that he can win, I believe with the spirit that radiates in his eyes, eyes that make me confident that he can achieve anything he wants.” Subconsciously Mr. Burhan shed his tears, while looking at me with his voice trembling.
“That sentence that I always say to you every time I register Arsyana in Physics Olympiad.” Mr. Burhan continued, wiping his tears and then back lined up in the teachers' row.
The Headmaster smiled, looking at my teary eyes.
“Last month, during the simulation exam. I got word that Arsyana was rushed to the hospital due to fainting and experiencing nosebleeds, which turned out to be caused by her exhausted body because for one more month she learned desperately to prepare for UN. I am sad and proud to see his struggle so hard, and today Arsyana Chalondra get sweet fruit for his struggle so far.” The headmaster looked at me, he patted me on the shoulder.
“Arsyana Chalondra successfully ranked first for UN in DKI Jakarta province and placed our school in the 5th best school in UN in 2018.” The Headmaster raised my hands up, while looking at all the disciples lined up in front of us.
All the students applauded, my legs felt limp as soon as I heard the Headmaster's words.
“At her achievement, the school will award Arsyana Chalondra a charter of appreciation. Mr. Burhan please help him, to take the award charter in my room.” The Headmaster asked me to stand up straight while asking Mr. Burhan to take out a charter of appreciation in his room.
Mr. Burhan gave the charter to the Principal, after he took the charter from the Principal's room.
“Congratulations, Arsyana.” The Headmaster gave the charter that was already inside the black frame to me, shaking my hand.
“Thank you, Mr.” I immediately welcomed the headmaster's hand job swiftly.
“Thank you too, for your passion in achieving what you want. Preserve.” he said, his eyes sparkling.
I got off the podium, the teachers happily congratulated me. And the last person to come to me was Mr. Burhan, he smiled at me. Mr. Burhan immediately stuck out his hand in front of me and I immediately shook Mr. Burhan's hand.
“Congratulations, Arsyana.” Mr. Burhan smiled at me.
“Thank you, Sir. This is also inseparable from the important role of the Father and other teachers.”
Mr. Burhan first let go of his hands, he looked me seriously in the eye.
“At first you could disagree when you got the news you chose a law major because you saw your grades, I'm sure you can graduate medicine. But today I realize that you always follow your heart and you are always responsible for the choices you make. Hopefully you can uphold the actual legal joints in our country, I am sure you will hear good news about you in the world of law.” Mr. Burhan continued, he patted my arm.
“Thank you, Sir.” I bow my head, as a sign of my respect for Mr. Burhan.
I returned to the line, which was immediately greeted by my classmates with applause.
“Congratulations, Arsyana Chalondra.” Khenzie ruffled my hair, while embracing my shoulders which actually made me careless because my hair became disheveled but since it was a joyous day so I understood Khenzie's actions.
After the graduation announcement, I invited Khenzie to stop by Bang Arsa's Cafe.
“Gue want to meet Bang Arsa but where is she again?” I asked Khenzie, after we sat in Bang Arsa's Cafe.
Ma'am Gia, approach us with a menu book. Ms. Gia is a Bang Arsa employee at the Cafe.
“Bang Arsa no yes, Mbak?” ask Mbak Gia, as he prepares to record our order.
“Mas Arsa is like again in the kitchen, checking food supplies.” Ma'am Gia replied while looking at my face.
“I can enter the kitchen no, Ma'am?”
“Bby, of course aja.”
“Khen, I stay behind ya.”
I approached Bang Arsa with the charter that the principal had given me. I quietly stepped up, I saw Bang Arsa standing in front of the refrigerator while taking notes on something. When I took a swing to surprise her, Bang Arsa called out to me.
“Syana, Bang Arsa again work.” Bang Arsa said, without looking at me.
I turned my lips up, looking at Bang Arsa with a look of annoyance, as usual Bang Arsa does not like to be disturbed when he is working but as a good Brother I will not listen to his request not to disturb him while working.
“Liat, Shana dapet apa.” I asked Bang Arsa to look at the charter I brought, even though I was not in the mood.
Bang Arsa looked at my face, then saw the charter I brought.
“Congratulations.” said Bang Arsa, glanced at me at a glance and returned to work after saying a word of congratulations.
I raised my eyebrows, scratching the back of my neck.
“Bang Arsa does not want to hug Adeknya so?” I asked, stretching out my hands and smiling broadly.
“Badan Bang Arsa again dry, you do not like body odor Bang Arsa.”
I scrunched my nose while closing his still stretched out hand.
“Iya anyway, but Bang Arsa happy right?”
“Happy why?” bang Arsa asked, as if he was not pulling at all.
“Because I got first place in UN.” I said, bragging.
“Iya, seneng.” Bang Arsa's tone was like speaking otherwise.
“Bang Arsa again work, the kitchen is also very hot. Mending you out, yes.” Bang Arsa continued, His words hurt my heart.
“Very good, even though Adeknya already willing far here.” I grumbled as I left the kitchen.
I went back to see Khenzie, with an annoyed look on my face.
“Why lo?” ask Khenzie to me.
“Tahu tuh, iceberg anyway. Really make it a person.” My grouse, while glancing towards the kitchen.
