USTADZ

USTADZ
2. The Partner Of Crime

As Syahla alleged, that night no ustadz or ustadzah entered their class. After making sure that everything is safe, Syahla and Laksmi immediately launched the action they had planned before.

When his friends choose to return to the dormitory, Syahla and Laksmi wait in the school building. Formal and non-formal schools still use the same building, but non-formal classes are distinguished not from the class, but from the ability to teach. After the school was quiet, they hurriedly went to the teacher's office which was on the second floor of the building.

Shahla first peered out of the glass window, making sure no one was there. The teacher council meeting was indeed held in the pesantren meeting hall, so there was definitely no one right now. Syahla immediately opened the door of the office which was indeed unlocked, and Laksmi followed her from behind.

Office lights that are turned off make the atmosphere become pitch black. Their vision is aided by the small flashlight they carry, making the situation dim. Coupled with the quiet atmosphere of the school building, making the night feel more horror.

"La," Laksmi tightened her grip on Syahla's arm. "I'm scared,"

"Read the verse of the chair only," Shahla replied to the origin. With a small flashlight in his hand, he was busy looking for a table belonging to Ustadz Amar.

"Meet!" Syahla. Amar Maulana Syarief, Shahla read the name attached to the table. Without wasting time, Syahla hurriedly searched for the book that had been confiscated by Ustadz Amar.

"Help dong Mi," Shahla told Laksmi who was just standing behind her. "When we meet soon, let's go home, let's,"

Laksmi. He's really scared right now. Not only was he afraid of meeting ghosts, he was also afraid of being caught by the teachers. But hearing the word 'quick go home', he finally decided to help.

Shahla had opened the small drawers that were on the table. But still not met.

"Nothing is there?" Syahla again ruffled the pile of books on the workbench Ustadz Amar, but the results were nil. "Where's Mi? Meet you?"

"Nothing," Laksmi shook her head. "Maybe kept somewhere else,"

"Saved where?" Syahla began to think while her hands were busy looking around. "Well, Ustadz Amar took my book everywhere?"

"Yes, he might have been carried away in his bag. It's yuk, it's not there, we just go home,"

"Later, in a moment," Shahla shook Laksmi's hand which patted her to rush out. "His wealth here I haven't been looking for, yet,"

"Come on," Laksmi still patted him impatiently. "Later to be discovered,"

"No, just calm down" Shahla said, soberly. He was still searching carefully for his kwarto book among the task books on the table.

"La," Laksmi again patted Syahla on the shoulder. "This is how anyone pats my shoulder?"

"Okay, who the hell is Mi? Cat kali," Shahla again flicked Laksmi's hand.

"La," Laksmi shook Shahla's body more tightly. "This is a human hand,"

"What the hell is Mi? Don't be shy,"

"But this is real.."

Syahla breathed an irritated sigh. "Where might there be ghosts in the boarding house Mi? Maybe just—"

Shahla's words stopped in her esophagus as she looked back. Laksmi who saw his best friend's expression turned his head, how surprised he was when he saw a face illuminated by a flashlight right in front of their faces.

"YES!!! SATAN!!!" yell at them at the same time.

CLICK IT!

The office room immediately became bright. "Well, what are the three of you doing here in the dark?"

The one who just spoke was Ustadz Yasir, one of the teachers' councils in Al-Raudhah Pesantren. "Kang Amar what?"

Syahla and Laksmi turned their heads towards the 'ghost' that was in front of them. It turned out that the figure was not a ghost, but it was clearly more frightening than a ghost, because the face of Ustadz Amar had been seen to explode with anger.

Syahla and Laksmi immediately lowered their heads timidly. Why is Ustadz Amar here?

"So the intention was to take on the duties of children in Kang's office, not even knowing he met these two little mice," Ustadz Amar answered Ustadz Yasir's question as his eyes stared intently at Shahla and Laksmi.

The two girls swallowed. The eyes of Ustadz Amar were like they were going to devour them round and round.

"I want to throw it away!" Shahla answered quickly before the count was over. "Kan Ustadz said I was told to memorize the molecular formula,"

"OK," Ustadz Amar folded his arms in front of his chest. "Try now deposit,"

Laksmi glares. Dead already. Why does Shahla have to reason like that? Is Syahla really memorized?

Unexpectedly, Syahla was able to mention all the formulas in full. Laksmi who was beside him, as well as Ustadz Yasir who had noticed earlier could only be stunned to see him.

"Have you, Ustadz?" Syahla showed her neat rows of teeth. "So now Laksmi and I can go out, yes,"

Ustadz Amar nodded his head. "Lumayan. But what good is it when the lesson is not paying attention? Now try to be honest, you're here looking for this, right?"

Syahla was wide-eyed because it turned out that the book he was looking for was being held by Ustadz Amar. He quickly tried to grab the book, but Ustadz Amar was much faster, lifting it aloft.

"Ustadz promised to return the book if I had already memorized it!"

"You're right. But that's not the only condition. There's still a month to clean the girls' toilets,"

"But kan—"

"Ah, since now you've been caught infiltrating the teacher's office, the sentence has been increased to two months. Not just Syahla, Laksmi too,"

"Well, how do I get it too?" Laksmi protested against not accepting.

"You are a package. Partner of crime is his name, so the punishment is shared."

After deciding the sentence like a court judge, Ustadz Amar pointed towards the door. "Now, please come out."

"But Ustadz—"

"Would you add it to three months?"

Syahla was already unable to answer anymore, hurriedly pulling Laksmi out of the room.

...----------------...

"Apes, apes, intentions to help friends even get punished," Laksmi nagged as her hands were busy with WC.

"Our son is bestie!" Shahla who brushed in another room replied. "Ustadz is a great rese! Handsome boy! Coolest dude! How many people like him?"

"And it's cool La.." Laksmi repeatedly refrained from vomiting. "I too, if shot by Ustadz Amar, would want to do it,"

"But!" Syahla sneers. "Good for the final exam there are only three months left, so there is no need for me to be dizzy facing the Izrail angel! Bye bye Ustadz fierce!"

"Well, why is that?" Laksmi retreated her body in order to see Shahla. "You can still see him on campus,"

"Who said I was going to college?" Syahla also rewinds her body to be able to see her interlocutor. "I want to go to college in Jakarta!"

"Well, how can you? What about our friendship? Can you leave me alone here?"

Syahla stopped her cleaning activities and walked over to Laksmi. "Honey.. Sometimes we need to sacrifice the most precious things in our lives, to achieve a beautiful future,"

"No need to be a poet! I'm serious! You really want to go? How do I keep going? Who will go to college? Who's sleeping in the dorm? Huhuhoo.." Suddenly, Laksmi's tears were flowing.

Syahla panicked, hurriedly rubbed Laksmi's cheek. "Don't be sad dong, I will often ngabarin you really. Don't cry.."

Laksmi's crying is getting louder. "Yahla!"

"Lakshmi!" Shahla was crying too.

Be the two friends embrace each other in the bathroom that smells cool while crying like in a Korean drama. The princesses passing by in front of the bathroom could only be astonished to see them.
