USTADZ

USTADZ
79. May You Congratulations to the Purpose

"Honey," Ustadz Amar hugged Shahla from behind after they reached the apartment. "Well, I'm going to America?"

"Huh?" Syahla was surprised not to play. "Why is that all of a sudden? Why why?"

Ustadz Amar sighed for a moment before answering his wife's question. True, said the wife, the decision was very sudden. It just crossed his mind after seeing the treatment of Gian who looked aggressive approaching Syahla. He was afraid that he would be cheated when he was far away in America.

"There's nothing, count the holidays. Don't you think my darling wants to go there?"

"Hm.." Shahla thought for a moment. Not that I don't want to, it's just that Syahla is not the type of person who has fun to plan a vacation, let alone get abroad. Just think not.

"Don't you bother, Mom? Have I never been abroad? What is the visa's passport?"

"That's easy, baby" Ustadz Amar flicked his finger. "We just do it. Don't take long, at least until your family comes home from Umrah."

Syahla seemed to think deeply. "Aren't you busy there? He said there's still an unfinished project,"

"Yes later Mas can do the project in the morning, keep coming home to you all day. If for example my dear is bored, it can go for a walk alone."

"I'm not really good at English!"

"Later there will be Temen Mas also from Indonesia. He can take you everywhere. How's it? Want huh?"

Shahla looked at the husband's face hesitantly. Seeing the look of Ustadz Amar's eyes that seemed to be pleading, it was clear that Syahla could not resist. He finally nodded his head slowly.

"Yuhuu!" Ustadz Amar raised both hands, leaving Syahla aghast. "Finally get to go to college with my wife!"

...----------------...

According to their plan, a week later Syahla and Ustadz Amar left for America. Of course before leaving Syahla had already said goodbye to Anggika, who is now focused on accompanying her boyfriend who is almost recovered. Not to forget, Syahla also said goodbye to Gian, because all he wanted to leave Marla to the man.

"I'm sorry to take nicotine" Syahla said as she left Marla to Gian. "When I can leave him in Petshop, but you're even ready to take care of him."

"It's okay," Gian smiled as he stroked the cat like a baby. "Expensive if you want to leave in Petshop. Just like me, more free is guaranteed!"

Syahla chuckles at Gian's words. He then rubbed Marla's long fur with anxiety. "It's okay here, son, Mama and Papa want to go first."

Gian glanced at Shahla hesitantly. "So leave now?"

"Yes," nod Syahla. "The flight's this afternoon. What do you want?"

"Ah, no need, the important thing is that you go home safely."

Syahla smile. "Thank you Gian,"

"Yes, you're the same,"

For a moment, the eyes of the two people looked at each other. The call of Ustadz Amar from the front door of the apartment surprised them. Syahla then said goodbye and waved at Gian. Gian waved back and saw Syahla's departure with a disappointed face.

"May you survive until the goal" whispered Gian who he could not speak a little louder.

...----------------...

After traveling thousands of kilometers, finally the plane carrying Syahla and Ustadz Amar landed at the international airport of the United States. Ustadz Amar immediately took Shahla's hand and got into a taxi that was waiting in front of the airport.

Syahla was unceasingly amazed as the car they were riding through the streets of the country city of Uncle Sam. He felt like he was in another world right now. It was also his first trip abroad.

"Welcome to America" Ustadz Amar invited Syahla to enter his apartment first. Syahla said, he immediately set his eyes around the room.

"Little buffalo, huh?" Ustadz Amar approached his wife. "But this apartment is cheap, and is located close to the campus. So if it only lasts for three years anyway, no problem."

Shahla nodded her head. The pile of clothes on the sofa made him frown. "That shirt was sia—"

Shahla had not yet continued his words, a man came out of the room. The man's face looked surprised at the arrival of Ustadz Amar. Syahla and Ustadz Amar were even more surprised because the man was not wearing a shirt and only wore short color pants.

"Daddy!" Ustadz Amar spontaneously closed Shahla's eyes with his hands. "Change clothes first! You're tarnishing my wife's eyes!"

Adi who had just regained consciousness jumped, hurriedly he went back into his room to change clothes.

"Sorry," Ustadz Amar bit his lip. "That's Adi, my housemate. He's kind of ugly."

"No papa," Shahla turned her eyes. "Just a little surprised."

Ustadz Amar then lifted the dirty clothes on the sofa and he threw it in the trash. Shahla was obviously surprised to see the sight. "Mas, clothes.”.

"No papa dear, let it be washed the same that has. If not, it will not be washed. Now, sit here, you must be tired." Ustadz Amar patted the sofa and let his wife sit down.

Moments later, Adi came out with a t-shirt and trousers stuck to her body. He then approached the couple awkwardly.

"Hello, Miss Amar. I'm Adi, Amar's housemate. I'm sorry to surprise you the first time we met,"

"No problem" Shahla smiled. "Call me Shahla sir,"

"Sir?" Adi had objections. "Don't dong sir, I'm not that old. I'm three years younger than your husband. You can call me Adi, or you can."

"Ehem!" Ustadz Amar cleared his throat, a sign he objected to the latter option.

Adi grimacing. "Oh yes, Shahla if you want to rest please, you must be tired right? If you two aren't comfortable with me here, I'll be hitchhiking at people's homes."

"Eh, no!" Syahla hurriedly shook her hands. "I'm sitting here. Bang Adi stay here, it's okay!"

"Young.." Adi first glanced at Ustadz Amar who glanced sharply at him before he shook his head quickly. "No papa Syahla, for the safety of body and soul, I would love to sleep outside! Yeah, I'll go, Bye!"

"Bang Adi! Where you going?" Syahla intended to prevent Adi's departure, but Ustadz Amar had pulled her so she sat back on the sofa.

"Once, let it go. You do not know that the Indonesian people are physically strong, sleeping in front of the supermarket is also not a problem! What matters is that now you rest. Yea?"

"But.." Shahla still answered. But considering her body that was too tired, she finally chose silence and obeyed her husband.
