USTADZ

USTADZ
45. A Simple Solution

After the Magrib Prayer, Abah Ridwan invited Ustadz Amar to sit in the television room. Syahla and Nyai Siti's mother chatted in the dining room, which was just next to the television room.

"This is lo Mar, the plan of the dormitory to be built," Abah Ridwan unfurled a paper on the carpet. "How do you think?"

"Young.." Ustadz Amar seemed to notice the picture of the plan as a goal. "I don't really understand about Bah's building, how about we ask Gus Adil?"

"Hm?" Gus Adil who happened to pass by seemed confused because his name was called.

"Why ask Adil Mar?" Abah Ridwan tried to ask for an explanation.

"Yes Bah. You see, I heard that Gus Adil is now studying architecture. I think for this development problem we can ask directly to the more expert."

Abah Ridwan nodded his head. "You're right, too, Mar. Fair, here's Le!" Abah Ridwan waved at his son.

Gus Adil hesitated to approach his father. He then sat between Abah Ridwan and Ustadz Amar.

"Yes, Abah?" Ask a confused . Abah Ridwan then showed the paper with the dormitory floor plan to his second son.

"Here you are, Abah will have plans to build a new dormitory. You are now in college as an architect. What do you think this plan is? Is the plan fit? How much building materials should I buy?"

Gus Adil then focused his gaze on the paper that lay in their midst. "If I thought this was Bah.." Gus Adil then explained at length.

Abah Ridwan and Ustadz Amar both listened closely to Gus Adil's explanation. Although somewhat groggy, the explanation of Abah Ridwan's second son was quite clear to them.

"You turned out to be smart as well as Le," Abah Ridwan joked. "Why have you never shown this ability? I don't think you're interested at all in the state of our cottage."

Gus Adil smiled awkwardly. Ustadz Amar patted Gus Adil's shoulder. "During this time Gus Fair seemed embarrassed to immediately say Bah. Maybe next time Abah can discuss the same cottage program Gus Fair as well,"

"Yes yes Mar. You see, all this time Adil never wanted to follow if Abah talked about pesantren. So Abah thought Adil wasn't interested at all,"

"Other times asked first Bah," Nyai Siti's mother also said from the direction of the dining room. "You know our son's prestige is big,"

Abah Ridwan and Ustadz Amar laughed. While Gus Adil only blushed in shame because what his mother said was true.

"Thank you Ustadz" Gus Adil approached Ustadz Amar, who was sitting on the terrace. "I knew that I was going to call on purpose to let Abah call me."

Ustadz Amar smiled. "Eitherway. I just want it handled by an expert."

"Oh yeah? Is not during the njenengan mondok also already take care of development? I doubt that you cannot master such a thing. If I may guess, it seems that I have heard my conversation with Syahla."

"It's gone too, how else?" Gus Fair shrugged his shoulders. "I also apologize, for hating njenengan all this time."

Ustadz Amar turned his head, he was not really surprised by the fact, only he did not expect Gus Adil to say it directly.

"During this time, I always thought Abah was very picky with us. Though the three of us are his biological sons, but anything that is always proud is always njengan. My first brother didn't seem to have a problem with that, but I was different. I feel Abah's real son is njenengan, not us. So sometimes I get annoyed for no reason at Abah and Njenengan,"

Gus Adil took a deep breath. "Because of that baseless anger, I decided not to inherit the pesantren that Abah had painstakingly established. I choose not to care about the program or any development that happens in this pesantren, but Abah also does not trust me. But, after I thought about it, it turns out that I also want to be considered important by Abah."

"It turns out, the way out of this problem is quite simple. I just need to talk to Abah about what I want. Because as my wife said, want me to complain as hard as anything, it will be useless if not in front of the person directly."

Gus Adil turned his gaze from the fish pond in front of the house towards Ustadz Amar who was staring straight ahead. "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to show my skills in front of Abah,"

Ustadz Amar simply smiled without taking his eyes off the small fish that were busy swimming to and fro. "Either. I didn't do anything big. I have to thank my wife. He also made me act like that."

"That's right." Gus Fair nodded his head. "It seems that now I should start approaching the njenengan wife,"

Ustadz Amar turned his head with glaring eyes. "What does that mean?"

"Well, she's an interesting woman. No wonder there are so many heartbroken sons when you get married. It looks like from now on I'll be in that heartache line,"

Ustadz Amar immediately grabbed the collar of Gus Fair until their faces faced. "Be careful when you talk. All this time I held back because njenengan was the son of my Kyai. But if you cross the line, I won't remain silent."

"Well," Instead of being afraid, Gus Adil cried out in amazement. "Today I saw an angry expression."

"I'm human too, so get angry."Ustadz Amar let go of his grip violently. " That's why don't make me let out my anger."

"Hahahahahahah!" Gus Adil laughed out loud. "Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean that. Well, Syahla is beautiful, but married girls are not my type. Take it easy Ustadz, Syahla will belong entirely to the njenengan."

Ustadz Amar snorted in annoyance. Gus Adil seems to have deliberately ignited his emotions. Normally Ustadz Amar would choose to ignore it only, but since this time was related to Shahla, he could not hold it anymore.

"But, I don't know if the other son santri. You see there are still about twenty men waiting for his widow Shahla,"

The eyes of Ustadz Amar again glared furiously. Seeing his interlocutor, Gus Adil rushed to escape. "Excite me, Ustadz!" scream jail.

"Patience, Amar, Patience" Ustadz Amar took a deep breath and let it out slowly. In fact, Ustadz Amar did not know how attractive the wife was in the eyes of other men. Well, who wouldn't fall in love with a beautiful, smart girl and the daughter of a big kyai? During the school years, Ustadz Amar often confiscated letters from the sons of the santri intended for Shahla. Of course it is mostly about their expressions of love. Even when he went to the dormitory earlier, Ustadz Amar could feel the gazes of the students who seemed to dislike him. It seemed they were envious because Ustadz Amar had managed to snatch away their adored woman.

"I must be more strict in my wife's care" Ustadz Amar determined as he clenched his hands tightly.
