USTADZ

USTADZ
58. Confessions of Sister Anne

After the two women entered the room, Kak Hasan and Ustadz Amar waited at the door. Hasan looked agitated and continuously peered out from behind the window.

"Not to worry, my wife will not be doing anything for your boyfriend" Tukas Ustadz Amar said.

Brother Hasan grunted. "Anne's not my girlfriend,"

"Oh, huh? But you guys live together?"

"Indeed according to you if staying together is definitely a girlfriend? I stayed with him so I could keep him close. Pity she has no one, keeps getting pregnant now."

"You know pity, why are you still hamili too?"

Hasan looked at Ustadz Amar with anger. "So my mouth is! I never touched Anne! Even though I like her, I try to keep her chastity! But Anne fell in love with Rama the jerk and gave it all away." Brother Hasan's hands looked clenched.

"You're right. Rama is a jerk. His face alone looks good, but it's rotten inside."

"Eat it," Brother Hasan smiled obliquely. "I was satisfied after the samurai gang beat him all out,"

Ustadz Amar scrunched his forehead. "Do you know where the guy who beat him up is a samurai gang?"

Hasan looked surprised for a moment to hear the question Ustadz Amar, then he laughed awkwardly. "Rama said it himself, right? His legs are also limping because they've been beaten."

Ustadz Amar again scrunched his forehead. "It looks like the news about his legs hasn't been spread yet, you know where it's from?"

Hasan swallowed his saliva nervously. He did not answer and instead reached into his pocket to pick up a cigarette. "You want a cigarette?" the deal goes to Ustadz Amar. Ustadz Amar shook his head.

"I don't smoke if I'm not stressed anymore,"

"Oh," Hasan reacted briefly and sucked deeply into the nicotine from the cigarette he was holding. After that, he exhaled the smoke from the burning of his lungs into the air.

There's a strange, inner Ustadz Amar. But he did not ask anything more and turned his eyes back to see the deciduous leaves of the guava tree in front of the boarding room.

...----------------...

"Lo, what's my grandmother saying?" todong Sister Anne to Shahla. He stood while crossing his arms in front of his chest, while Shahla sat on the edge of the bed. "Lo tell her I'm pregnant?"

"I just said to ask for Anne's address in Jakarta" Syahla replied, shaking her head. "I didn't talk about Anne's pregnancy, nor about Anne's sister at DO from college. Because it seems like grandma doesn't know about it."

"Keep, what are you doing here again?"

"I just want to ask for clarification Sister Anne about the video circulating. Video that defames me for being my husband's mistress."

"Why did you ask me that? Just a matter of video only Lo to defend here. Is it not a problem that has been resolved because the campus has been clarified? You didn't see me? I was also slandered, and no one defended me!" Anne spoke with emotion.

"It's because of the slander that accuses me of being completely untrue" Syahla then took the phone from her pocket. "Then, why did I ask you about the video to Anne? Yeah, because of this,"

Syahla then opened the recording of his conversation with Kak Rama in the hospital. When she heard her name, Anne then sat down weakly.

"Rama! Why did you sell this to me! You said you'd guarantee my identity and wouldn't get caught!" Sister Anne was crying. "Nyesel I believe in Lo!"

"Sister," Shahla approached Sister Anne. "Sister Rama is not a good guy. Did Anne get threatened with keeping those videos?"

"Look what you think about Rama! He was the only person who helped me in Jakarta! He is also the father of the child in my womb! She said she'd marry me if she managed to get you divorced!"

"Astaghfirullah's..." Syahla was surprised not to play. "Why did you do that?"

"That's because we want to teach you a lesson, b*tch! Because of Lo, Rama turned away from me! You cheap chick!" Anne grabbed the glass on the table, then slammed it until the sound of glass breaking. Not enough to get there, Sister Anne also slammed whatever was nearby, making Syahla can only scream hysterically.

Anne grabbed the broken glass and held it until her hand bled. He then walked closer to Shahla while holding the broken glass.

"Sir, istighfar! Sister Anne!" Syahla tried to protect her face with her hands while shouting. His shout was heard to the front and Ustadz Amar and Kak Hasan rushed to open the door.

"Anne, stop!" Kak Hasan immediately hugged Sister Anne so that the glass fragments hit her body. "You take it easy, I'm here."

Sister Anne who realized that Hasan was injured then released her embrace. "San, Lo..."

Sister Anne quivered when she saw the end of the broken glass tucked into Kak Hasan's waist.

"SAN!" Anne was screaming hysterically. "SORRY ME!"

"It's okay, Anne, it's okay," Hasan grabbed Anne in his arms. "It's not how much it hurts,"

Ustadz Amar and Syahla saw the incident in silence. His position Ustadz Amar still hugged Syahla who had been frightened.

"How is this?" whispered Syahla. "Do we need to take you to the hospital?"

"No need baby, he'll be fine. More importantly, you're not papa, are you?"

"Yes," Shahla nodded her head.

"Anne admitted that she did it?"

Syahla was silent for a moment and looked at Sister Anne and Kak Hasan who were still hugging. "Let me tell you in the car, yeah,"

"OK," Ustadz Amar led his wife out of the boarding room.

...----------------...

"The goal is for us to divorce? Whoa, crazy..." Ustadz Amar shook his head at Syahla's explanation. "What's in it for them?"

"Said Sister Anne, it was to teach me a lesson. And Sister Anne did all that because Brother Rama promised to marry her."

"Astaghfirullah's.." Ustadz Amar rubbed his face rough. "What made him believe in Ramah?"

"I don't know either. But Sister Anne was really angry when I said that Rama is not a good guy. He even said that all this time who helped him during his time in Jakarta was Kak Rama."

"So, does he seem to regret and apologize for slandering us?"

Syahla shook her head in a 'no' answer to that question.

"Then that's enough." Ustadz Amar nodded steadily. "We're going to report Anne as one of the culprits in this matter."

"But" Shahla bit her lips hesitantly. Ustadz Amar smiled, and he grabbed Shahla's hand in his hand.

"I've told you, right, that the crime that Anne committed at this time was the same as the disease. If it is not immediately cured, it could be crumpled or even transmitted to others. After all, Anne could have received leniency because her pregnant condition forced her to do that."

Shahla lowered her head. "I'm not worried about Anne. He deserves the punishment for his actions. But I thought about grandma. What if grandma finds out?"

Ustadz Amar took a deep breath. "As the guardian of her granddaughter, grandma must clearly know what her granddaughter has done so far. That way, this could also be a slap for Anne not to do it again. Didn't Anne love her grandmother very much? She must have felt guilty and sorry to know that her grandmother knew all her bad deeds."

Shahla nodded her head slowly. Ustadz Amar tightened his grip on his wife to calm down.

"Okay, when it's all over, our lives will return to normal as before. No more sadness, anger, and shame. We'll be happy together."

Shahla looked at her husband, the sincere smile of Ustadz Amar was contagious. Slowly, the tip of his lips felt up and he smiled widely. With this man, he feels he can solve any problem.
