USTADZ
66. Happy Birthday Anniversary

"Happy birthday Syahla.."

Shahla received the large bouquet of flowers with a fading smile. "Thankyou yes Brother,"

The man smiled broadly, Anggika immediately rushed into the man's embrace. "I don't think you came!"

"Dateng dong, I promise you," the man stroked the top of Anggika's head with anxiety.

Shahla looked at the scene with a faint smile. The man who just came was Brother Ren, Anggika's girlfriend. Syahla has been introduced to Ren since the first day they were made. Often the three of them also went everywhere together. So you could say Syahla is a mosquito repellent that is between Anggika and Kak Ren.

"Smile dong La, don't frown! My dear is tired of bringing flowers!" hardik Anggika when he saw Syahla's face that still looks sour.

"Yes, yes, I told you thank you earlier." murmured Syahla while looking back at her cellphone.

"It's okay, baby.. Syahla is also kasian because she is still LDR with her husband," Ren calmed her boyfriend who looks still want to nag. "We ate yuk. What do you want pesen?"

"What is important is bribed you," said Anggika who made Syahla who heard it clack while shaking her head.

...----------------...

After eating, Syahla went straight home to the apartment, while Anggika and Kak Ren were about to take a walk first. Syahla took a taxi alone to her apartment.

During the journey, Shahla unceasingly let out a long sigh. No matter the chatter of the driver who told me that his daughter had successfully studied abroad and now works in the ministry. It was actually an interesting story, but Syahla was not excited to hear it right now.

Upon entering the apartment door, Syahla realized that the state of the apartment became somewhat chaotic compared to before she left. Television is on and airing soap operas that are being talked about a lot lately. But, didn't he just turn it off?

Syahla's eyes widened when she saw there were some dirty dishes in the sink. This is no longer right. Syahla believes the sink was clean before she left, because she herself washed the dirty dishes and arranged them on the dish rack.

BRACKET!

Syahla's chest felt rustling. The sound came from inside his room. Like someone was in there. With a slow step, Syahla reached for Teflon who was in the kitchen, then walked towards her room.

Shahla counts while saying a prayer. All right, whatever's in there, he's gonna hit. Whatever shape.

One..

Shahla holds the doorknob.

Two..

Shahla turned the doorknob.

Three!

Door opens. Syahla immediately swung the teflon in her hand until it made a loud noise as it seemed to have hit someone.

"AMNOW! It hurts! Why was I hit anyway?"

Shahla then opened her eyes when she realized that she knew the voice just now. "Mas Sahil?"

"Yes! It´s me! Your mas's the only one! I just found it made!" moaned Gus Sahil while rubbing his forehead.

Shahla then covered her mouth with both hands. "Mas! What's in here? I thought it was a fucking moring loh!"

"Well, the surprise failed" said a woman behind the door. Shahla widened her eyes to see who the woman was.

"Mother Hafsa?"

"Hey.." Hafsa smiled widely, while both of her hands carried a brown tart.

"Well, you know, since when are you here?"

"New..fifteen minutes ago? We really want a surprise, so do not forget to come here. Happy birthday to Dek Syahla!" Hafsa throws a tart in front of Shahla.

Hearing that, Syahla's tears spontaneously spread. Instead of blowing out the candle on the tart, Syahla even cried sobbing.

"Don't be diomelin to Mas Gus.. Here dear, let me hug," Hafsa finally intervened, he put the cake on the bed and hugged Shahla tightly.

...----------------...

"It must be very heavy LDR same husband," Hafsa looked at her sister-in-law with concern. "Especially now on the most special day he didn't even call at all. You know how you feel on the deck,"

Shahla nodded her head while wiping her still flowing tears. "Yes mad! That's why Syahla spills! Not so good to be a husband!"

"Hmmm..." Hafsa grabbed both of Shahla's cheeks, then directed Syahla's face to look at her face. "Rarely sure your husband is insensitive? Why do you think we can both be here now?"

Syahla shook her head in confusion. "Didn't you want a surprise?"

"Yes, at first we really want to send a gift for you. But, your husband since a month ago has called us. He said we should be able to come to Jakarta on your birthday, he was afraid that you would feel lonely. Your husband even financed our trip back and forth for you" explained Hafsa who made Shahla wide.

"Seriously Mummy?"

"Yes, that's why Mas belain came here despite being busy, yes it's because your husband begged. But, unfortunately Umi same Abah can not come, because there is busy at the cottage." said Gus Sahil.

Syahla's tears were about to go outside again hearing the explanation of her two brothers. "Why didn't Amar tell me? I'm gonna be pissed for no reason at him,"

"Male is so deck nature. They seem indifferent and do not care, but it turns out that behind secretly make plans of their own. My husband often does too. Prestigious he said when talking directly to his wife,"

"Ehem! Ahem! Nihindir, the story?" Gus Sahil who was compressing his banged forehead with ice cubes also replied. Hafsa chuckled and turned her eyes back to the sister-in-law.

"Don't hate your husband too much huh, he's a pity for you Dek."

Shahla lowered her head. "I'm becoming more and more confused with Mas Amar Mbak,"

"I miss it too, dear,"

Shahla raised her head to hear the voice she missed the most. Gus Sahil approached while pointing his phone screen at Shahla. "Now, your beloved husband."

Syahla received the phone with trembling hands. Seen on the screen, Ustadz Amar was smiling at him. It looks like he's in a tent.

"Happy twentieth birthday, my wife,"

"Mas! Why not tell me that Mas Sahil is the same Ma'am Hafsa wants to come?" spray Shahla pissed. "Where was waiting for not saying anything at all. I know, no!"

Ustadz Amar chuckles. "If I say no surprise dong. Then, why I just called now, it's because there's a signal here. From that moment there was absolutely nothing. I'm sorry I missed your special day,"

Syahla was still grumbling, but deep down she felt immense relief. "What do you say, no gifts?"

"There's dong," Ustadz Amar smiled mysteriously. "I've deposited the card with Gus Sahil,"

Shahla turned her head to Gus Sahil. "What gift is Mas?"

"Now!" Gus Sahil handed over a mysterious box. Shahla accepted it hesitantly.

"What's this?"

"Open dong, baby.." Ustadz Amar replied with a big smile.

Shahla opened the box in curiosity. When he opened it, he shouted in shock because there was an object that suddenly jumped towards him.

"DANKSH!" Syahla fell off the sofa in her back. He looked over his body that felt heavy because it was made into a foothold by a hairy figure.

"Cat?" Shahla raised the body of the white cat who looked at her with a sharp look. "Why cats?"

"That cat could be my substitute as long as I'm not around. Let my dear not be lonely anymore" explained Ustadz Amar. "Where? You likey?"

"Like it," Syahla got up from her position and looked at the cat with doubt. "But, the time is this fat creature can accompany me?"

"Meow" said the cat as if answering Shahla's question, making everyone who heard her laugh out loud.
