The Palace

Audrey increasingly felt the pain of staying in the palace, because of the treatment of her butler and senior servant who always bullied her. Although not all the senior servants were being bad at him. Nevertheless, Audrey persisted and accepted all the bad attitude she had from them, because she was very confident, someday she would be able to tell her identity to the king or prince. If that time came, he was sure the king would not let him become a servant like he is now.

That afternoon, at the palace will be held a special lunch to welcome the arrival of Prince Alaric's cousin named prince Vilan. He is the prince of the Mystick kingdom, who just last night arrived at the royal palace of Zephyra.

The cooks and servants were already very busy cooking in the palace kitchen for the banquet. Meanwhile, Ellie, who is none other than Kalla's superior, is choosing servants to bring or serve food to the banquet room. Kalla and Ellie select twenty of the best servants who she thinks are worthy of the task, and Audrey is not among the twenty, leaving her deeply disappointed and upset with Kalla.

King Richard, prince Alaric, prince Vilan and other important officials are already in the banquet hall, although the event will start in about half an hour. The servants were already lined up outside the room, bringing various kinds of food to be served. Ellie and Kalla also drove them. Several officers were seen inspecting the food, before allowing the servants to enter.

All the servants entered with neat rows and lowered their heads. No one dared to raise their heads, as it was one of the rules they had to abide by.

All the food brought by the servants, checked back by the officers in the room. After feeling safe, then the food is served on a large table that looks very sturdy and luxurious. All the waiters handed over the food they brought to the special officers who were there, so the waiters were not allowed to serve the food they brought earlier, making Audrey a little disappointed, because he had not been able to see the prince's face, let alone he was in the back row.

"You can go." Tell that officer. Then all the servants went out and marched back outside the banquet hall, waiting for the king and everyone to finish eating their lunch.

About an hour later, the door of the banquet hall opened, along with the exit of a handsome and dashing man who was none other than Prince Alaric with prince Vilan and Conrad. Everyone looked down respectfully as the three passed by them. The curious Audrey wanted to see the prince's face, venturing to raise her head slightly to look at the prince's face.

God, it turns out to be true what the people here are saying. Prince Alaric and Prince Vilan are really handsome. I should be able to get one of their saris. I need to find a way for the prince to see me. Audrey said in her heart.

Audrey doesn't realize that Kalla is watching her right now, and it's going to be really bad for her.

They took Audrey to her room. And that's where Kalla vented the emotions she had withstood from earlier on Audrey.

"Wake you up Audrey. I know you're just pretending to faint." Kalla said, shaking Audrey's body violently.

Why did he know that I was fainting?. Audrey asked in her heart.

"Wake up Audrey. Otherwise, you'll regret it." Threatens Kalla, but Audrey doesn't wake up and keeps pretending to be unconscious.

Kalla came out of the room, then went back in and brought a container of dirty water and immediately poured it on Audrey.

Receiving such treatment, Audrey was of course very surprised, and immediately woke up.

"What are you doing?."Audrey reflexes screaming.

"You dare yell at me, huh?." Kalla asked with a tinge of emotion.

Obviously, but Kalla who was already emotional and upset immediately pulled Audrey's hand and took her outside. He and his men tied Audrey to a tree near the back gate of the women's palace. Audrey begs Kalla to let her go but Kalla ignores her.

"What's my fault, madam?. Why are you punishing me like this?." Audrey asked in a clear tone.

"Your fault?. You ask what's your fault?. You think I didn't know that you dared to raise your head and steal a glance at the prince heh. Don't you understand that it can't be done by a servant like you?. You think the prince would like a girl like you Audrey?. Don't hope!!

I'm sure the prince will never like you, the stupid servant who tried to lure him away with that kind of village tactic. Pretending to faint again, haha. do you think the prince will catch or hug your body?. Don't you know, there are limits and distances to be maintained between a prince and a servant like you.
