36. XR Restaurants

Assisted by several servants from the palace kitchen, Xena brought all the dishes for the prince's dinner to her private dining room. This was indeed one of the ways Prince Alaric had gotten him close to Xena whom he had longed for so much.

Prince Alaric sat at his lavish dining table all by himself, waiting for the arrival of the beautiful woman he loved so much, and Conrad stood behind him. The dining room door opened, along with the appearance of several servants carrying dinner dishes.

Prince Alaric's smile expanded when he saw the figure of Xena who entered the last row, while carrying a medium-sized fruit basket. The waiter had arranged all the food on the table, as well as Xena. He put down the fruit basket he had brought earlier. As usual a special officer, tasted all the food to make sure it was not harmful to the prince.

"You can go, except you." Alaric looked at Xena. The servants came out, but not with Xena. "You can also go out uncle!! Declared again.

"Good prince." Conrad said, then came out of there, although in his heart he was very worried about Prince Alaric, for fear of Xena doing anything to his prince.

Xena, I'm so happy to see you, even if you don't recognize me. I miss you so much, Xena. Inner Alaric.

Why didn't he eat the food and look at me instead?. What is he thinking?. Hurry up and let me go. Inner Xena.

"So you're Xena, the cook my mother and the people in this palace talk about?." Tanya Alaric pretended.

"Yes the prince." Answer Xena.

Prince Alaric was still staring at Xena, making Xena feel uneasy and dislikeful, but his heart was racing. This was indeed very strange for him, because when he did not feel tense, or afraid.

"Why don't you eat the prince?." Xena asked her courageously, not wanting Alaric to keep looking at her.

"Then accompany me to eat. I don't want to eat alone." Alaric said, making Xena flinch. Not because of the prince's invitation, but his voice. The voice of the prince that Xena said was very similar to Aiden's. No. This must be because I miss him so much. Inner Xena.

"Why are you quiet?. Don't you want to accompany me to eat?." Ask Alaric.

"Sorry prince!! Slaves cannot accompany you to eat. You are a prince, while the servant is only a cook. So it's not worth it, if the servant accompanies you to eat." Answer Xena.

"Only I have the right to determine whether or not someone will accompany me, and I think you deserve it. Now, let's go with me to eat." Alaric replied with a smile.

Xena of course did not want to accompany Prince Alaric to enjoy his dinner. But does he have the power to refuse a prince's orders?. Perhaps in this palace Xena had no strength, but she had the courage to refuse Alaric's orders. It wasn't Xena's name if she had to obey the words of the person she hated. Xena still refused Alaric's invitation or order. He did not care if Prince Alaric was offended or angry though.

"Tell me, why won't you accompany me?. Aren't you supposed to be happy that I took you?. You know, not every waitress has a chance to be with me." Alaric.

Hehh. I know you're really handsome. Sorry, I'm not interested in you. You're the reason I lost my father. Xena said in her heart. His face and eyes turned red, remembering that.

"Do you still not want to accompany me, Miss Xena?." Ask Alaric.

Xena replied, suddenly the dining room door opened, Prince Alaric and Xena turned to the door. The queen is coming. Xena lowered her head, saluting, as did Prince Alaric.

"Queen's mother, why did it come so suddenly?." Ask Alaric.

"I'm sorry if my presence surprises you. I purposely came because I wanted to accompany you to eat." The queen replied with a warm smile. He stared at the food on the table, then turned to look at Xena.

"What are you cooking for my son Xena's dinner?." Ask queen.

"I cook roasted dover sole fish, roasted cows, lamb ribs with peanut cassoulet, sauteed spinach and zukini. And for the main course, I made a venison steak."Answer Xena.

"Streak the venison?. I've never tried it. Why are you making steaks out of venison?" Ask Queen.

"Because I know from the senior cook, that the prince really likes venison." Answer Xena.

"Yes, your highness. Please your majesty taste it."

"certain."

The queen and the prince ate the dinner together. Xena was still standing there being a loyal audience of the two people who were enjoying her dinner.

Fortunately, I did not put the poison. Otherwise, the queen would be a victim. Xena said in her heart.

The queen and the prince had finished eating the meal. Xena asks permission to get out of there, and the queen allows. Prince Alaric was upset in his heart, because his plan to be alone with Xena had to fail because of the presence of the queen.

"Mother, I want Xena to be my personal servant." Alaric suddenly said.

"What do you mean?."

"Don't you understand what I mean?. I want Xena to be my personal servant. I want him to just cook for me, also serve all my needs."

"Are there not many servants?."

"Yes but I still want Xena to be my personal servant. His job is to serve all my needs, as well as cooking, if I want to."

"But he just replaced Charlota. If he's your personal servant, then who will take his place in the palace kitchen?."

"Let Kalla think about it. Clearly, from tomorrow Xena should be my personal servant." Alaric.

"Well, I'll talk to Kalla and Hannah about it." The queen then left the prince's palace.

Xena could not sleep tonight because she remembered Aiden. He missed his presence so much at this time. Aiden, since you left, why haven't you ever sent me a letter?. Are you so busy you don't have time to write a letter?. Xena muttered in her heart, then closed her eyes trying to sleep. But suddenly the shadow of Prince Alaric appeared, and Xena's eyes opened again.

"Why should the man's face appear?. But I wasn't thinking about it. All I think about now is Aiden, not that arrogant prince." Grouse Xena.

**At Other Places**

"What is your highness?. Why do you come on nights like this?. Is there a problem?." Kalla asked who was surprised by the arrival of the queen to her room.

"There's something I want to talk to you about. It's about Xena." Queen's sahut.

"What's wrong with Xena?. Did he make a mistake?." Ask Kalla.

"No Kalla, Xena didn't do anything wrong. I just want to know about him. The prince wanted to make Xena his personal servant. I just wonder if you think Xena is worthy and trustworthy to be in that position?. I'm sure you'll know about him. You must know the origin of Xena or any other young servant."
