Anna Holland: The Oliheim Witch

Anna Holland: The Oliheim Witch
Chapter 09: An Inquiry

Throughout this corridor, I continued to follow Miss Cilia to a quite spacious greenhouse that was filled with various kinds of medicinal plants.

I always help her water the plants and ask her everything I want to know.

For example, a time like this.

"What's in the teacher's basement?"

"You're curious about that?"

"Of course, I sometimes have trouble sleeping if I don't know the truth."

"You must be a troubled girl."

What Ms. Cilia said was true, in my own orphanage I often searched for anything I could find, some kind of dark secret or the mortuary but thank God until now I did not find it.

I always thirst for mystery.

"If I say it then you better not tell anyone."

"I promise."

Miss Cilia looked up to think for a moment what she would tell me.

"As everyone knows this academy was created by the founders of this world as well, among all of them there is one person who still holds a grudge against the normal world... he created monsters and other things but among all he created an organization called Oliheim and made various fears for all of us, especially in the academy."

The brush used to be the possibility of someone infiltrating or so on. I'm more asking the different side.

"You mean there's something in the academy's basement?"

"There is a door that no one should open, if it is opened then there will be a disaster that befalls the people in the academy, no one knows exactly what it is, no one knows exactly what it is, but by looking at the wound on Mr. Gilbert's body then it had become clear."

He was slashed horribly, it would not be strange if I suspected that he was the one who opened the door.

"The door itself is very fragile opened from the outside and difficult to open from the inside, even a little girl can open it."

I'm getting curious, I decided at night that I was with Sarah and Marick investigating.

"Don't worry Anna, I poured sleeping pills in her drink before morning she wouldn't wake up."

I have to say that it's a relief.

I glanced to and fro to make sure that no one was looking, after it was safe I called the two to resume the search. Just as we passed the corner I saw a shadow passing by with a candle in his hand so we immediately hid.

"That's professor Goven," Sarah whispered.

"I hate that guy" I reply spontaneously.

"I honestly hate him too if you ask me."

He stopped to look at us, thank goodness we hid behind a big urn until he missed it and walked away.

"Come on," I said.

We reached the door to the underground, using a paperclip I managed to open the door and went down the stairs.

Marick and Sarah looked agitated.

"Anna are we sure we're gonna do this?"

"I told you that you can't come."

"We're worried about you, it'd be better if we also come along and we're friends so we have to help each other."

In my heart I thank them both.

"When there's a mystery I can't help but investigate, are you wondering what kind of creature Gilbert actually killed."

Sarah smiled doubtfully while Marick sighed softly.

"Curiosity can kill you sometimes."

It would also kill me if I didn't know the truth.
