Chapter 108: Meeting the Dragon Goddess
Leaving the inn for the last time, we have arrived at a place that is said to be the headquarters of a witch.
It was just a small hut in the middle of the forest and I saw several people in black robes clustered around it. I unhesitatingly beat them to ask where the Oracle Witches and the Gods they worshipped were. But unfortunately they were just a horde of bandits hiding in this place.
I stomped on one of them until she groaned in pain, behind me Cardina just watched with both hands supporting Meliana.
"I've spoken for real, witches have completely disappeared on this continent. I heard someone has defeated the Evil God Hermias."
In the end, I gave up and decided to leave. Cardina who walked up to me asked.
"Then what are we going to do next?"
"If nothing in this continent means living looking for it elsewhere, I will go to the continent of Lemuria and look for it there."
Meliana looks very happy.
"Continent Lemuria, are you going to help me so that I can have my beautiful body again."
"Make sure you get back to her later."
"Of course, I'll help you defeat them."
The next few days we had reached the Lemuria Continent, even from the harbor I could see a white tower piercing into the clouds. I asked Cardina to fly over it but unfortunately it was impossible.
He said there was a barrier preventing anyone from doing so and so we decided to enter the tower from the beginning.
On the first floor of the Tower called Arcana I was struck by something I did not expect. In the middle of the first city there was a stone like award where there were written the names of the people who had defeated the boss every floor up to the 600th floor and that person was Aksa.
If the name is here, it means that she is on this continent as well, without realizing I smiled faintly, at the same time Cardina cried.
"Richard is here, too, apparently, why?"
"What's Meliana?"
"Vivia's legal is one of my students... He's way more stubborn than Heliet."
I didn't expect that we all knew one of Aksa's parties except for Kazel and Sirius.
As I wanted to ask further about Meliana's student, Cardina cut in.
"There was a smell of dragons on the first floor, this was very surprising."
"Maybe it's the scent of Dragon Goddess Freya, can you lead us there?" ask Meliana.
"Give it to me."
We were taken by Cardina to a modest tavern where the owner was just a little blue-haired girl wearing a cat hood. He was about to open his shop and stop immediately when he saw all of us.
"It's an honor to meet Dragon Goddess Freya in this place" Cardina said politely.
Silence was felt between us, the little girl seemed to take her eyes off several times in doubt.
"You may be wrong, my name is Avelin the owner of this shop."
"No, I can't be wrong... The scent of the Goddess is indeed mixed with the scent of humans but after taking a close look, I can't be wrong."
"Dragon goddess Freya?"
"Please don't call me that, just call me Avelin.. Let's talk inside "
We all agreed to the offer, in the shop Cardina put tea glasses for all of us. For her to let a Dragon Goddess do it was clearly a disrespectful act.
