Chapter 32: The Vampire Ancestor
"What do you think of the teacher? I turned the question to him.
"It's not wrong that it's a fog demon, I just remembered it. The demon enveloped itself using a mist then attacked people as food."
"In other words they're dead."
"Ms."
The grandfather could only sigh slowly and then say to me.
"Will you take care of Alyssa for me?"
What the grandfather meant was the little girl he was with, though at first glance I knew they were not real family.
Alyssa had black hair that was allowed to unravel, her eyes ruby red and skin as white as porcelain. I knelt near him.
"Alyssa would you please open your mouth?"
He glanced at his grandfather and immediately opened his mouth at my request, appearing a pair of fangs between his teeth.
"When have you been drinking blood?" manyus.
"The last few months, I've only been drinking animal blood."
"You're forcing yourself, right?"
"Vampires like you have ancestral blood, it would be hard not to drink my blood."
"But?"
"Don't worry, my blood type is O."
Without waiting for Alyssa to jump towards me and stick her fangs around my neck, I could hear a gulp from her while I stroked her soft black hair.
For vampires who have ancestral blood they cannot drink blood carelessly which makes the function of the organs in the body a little problematic, it also applies when they do not drink blood.
"What's wrong, you can drink more than usual" I said lightly.
Miss Heliet said towards the grandfather.
"You're good enough to raise a vampire."
"For me, he was like my own grandson, when I found him on the mountain, I could not let him go, but I was old and my life would not be long... I'm afraid that someday he'll be lonely, so please take care of me."
"Let's go, I feel that you can take care of him."
Miss Heliet sighed softly then turned her gaze towards me.
"What do you think Aksa?"
"I don't mind taking care of her, it's just that Alyssa might be sad to have to part with you."
Alyssa who had sucked my blood nodded her head in agreement, she is a girl who has difficulty showing her expression so her attitude looks flat.
"Grandfather, I don't want to go."
"You must go, this is for your own good and grandfather's good, too.Grandfather will go to his hometown now."
Hearing that, I could already guess what happened.
I held onto Alyssa's shoulder and said softly to her.
"Listen to Alyssa, the reason why your grandfather chose to stay here and spend his time with you is because he has no other choice, you are a vampire, someone feared by humans.. if people see you they'll kick you out."
"Impossible."
"I'm sorry to say this, but it's time you two split up."
Tears were dripping down Alyssa's pretty face, until she felt like we were just about to continue on this journey.
During the day I was with my teacher on the edge of the cliff of the lake with a fishing rod in our hands.
"This is the first time I've heard of someone being able to lure eels with this, what do you think Alyssa is?"
"I don't know, there's usually no one to catch Morea in this lake."
"Is that so."
I stroked the head of Alyssa sitting on my lap, while the person with this idea smiled in satisfaction while showing off her arm muscles.
"Look, I'll show you how I caught them."
"I'm afraid even the teacher is dragged later," I replied weakly.
