Chapter 55: A Raccoon
In the next town I had taken some jobs to cope with finances, even though it was just odd jobs I did well.
The city is in the stage of building an outer wall so I helped renovate it.
As for Nicol and Tiffany I asked both of them to relax at the inn.
"Good work new people, now do this too."
"Good."
The day I received 10 silver coins for a full day's work, I don't think it's a bad job.
After the workers would gather in the tavern to rest for drinks, I took a moment to be there before buying souvenirs for both at the inn.
When I entered the inn, they were playing cards.
"Welcome, sir" said Nicol.
"I'm home. Have you eaten yet?"
"I want to wait for you to come back first so you can eat together."
"so."
I stroked Nicol's head, he should be able to eat without waiting for me.
"I am so my dear."
"Stop calling me that" I shouted at Tiffany.
I put some of the food I bought and ate it with both of them. It's been a week since we've spent time in this town but until now I haven't been able to find any information about the other books.
When I was filled with thought, Tiffany dropped a piece of paper in front of you with a satisfied smile.
"What?"
"That's where Lust's book is located."
"W-how did you find him?"
"Thank you to me, I used my skills in the city to look for this information."
"What's up, sir? Is the place far away?"
"Not that, it's just that the place pointed at the ruins of the sky... Is there someone who lives in that abandoned place?"
"The address is still a rumor, but it's not wrong to try to find it there," to Tiffany's statement I nod my head assenting anyway I don't want to keep single here and turn into a building porters.
The next day after asking my boss for permission to quit my job, I, Nicol and Tiffany hired an airplane to go to that place.
As the name suggests it is just the ruins of a floating island.
I asked the ship owner to pick us up the next day therefore we will start down this place now.
A strong wind blew the hair of the two people in front of me. If it must be said they will definitely look suitable if they are in a shampoo advertisement.
"We arrived, the place there," which is meant by Tiffany is a magnificent building that is a library and the only building that still stands in this area.
I knocked on the door and walked in, there was no one but a dusty room and a few insects I could see.
I said to Greed.
"Do you feel anything here?"
"I can't feel the presence of the other books but there's obviously someone living here."
"So it's true, you can feel his presence, it's amazing."
"No, honestly he's been glaring at us since."
"Where?"
I tried to find his whereabouts and I found a raccoon hiding behind a shelf with half his face shown to us.
"I thought a girl, it was just a raccoon guarding this place" Tiffany said.
"Who are y'all? Why come to my house? Go."
"We just want to take Lust's deadly book of sin, I hear it's here?" i said so.
"Although as for me I won't hand it to you guys."
