Chapter 11: The Liberation Army
On the way back to the palace I took the eggplant from the merchant's stall and showed it to Valentine.
"Look Valentine, this purple eggplant is huge."
"Stop it. Don't show it to me, I don't like eggplants, they're very long shapes and they look very perverted."
"You can touch it, let's touch it."
"Don't come near me. Stop it."
I chased Valentine from behind while the villagers looked at me with eyes like a dead fish and said the same thing.
"What kind of game is that?"
"Well, Rion, quickly turn yourself into a human being, you'll probably love this vegetable."
"I don't want to."
I think it was enough to repay their treatment earlier, now that I am satisfied.
We entered the palace residence and then headed to the top tower where it was used as a prison.
The door was locked so I broke it easily, and the first thing I saw was a long blue haired girl sitting on the bed, her big round eyes filled with a look of sadness despite the truth that there was a beautiful charm behind it, her slender body was wrapped in a lacy white dress and there was a crown on top of her head so I can assume she was indeed a royal family.
"Don't approach me."
He pulled out his blanket to cover himself. Valentine moved forward and he sniffed his body.
"Thank God, she's still a virgin apparently."
I don't know how Valentine did it, maybe it's a special ability that vampires have.
I glanced at the table placed by the window, there were some fruits that were left untouched.
It was only fitting that this girl's body was thin, she didn't try to eat it.
I took a piece of fruit and put it in my mouth while sitting in his chair, Rion turned himself into an elf shape and then sat on my lap while taking the same fruit.
"Sit somewhere else there."
"My ass can hurt if you sit on the floor and it's better if you take off your mask, this girl might get scared."
I was quite upset that he said the right thing, I took off my mask and put it on the table.
"Anu, who are you?"
"Don't worry young girl, we just defeated the demon that took over this city and now you're free."
The girl was crying.
"No, I'm very happy.thank you very much."
"Then where are the king and queen?" at my question the girl shook her head a few times
Rion clutched my collar.
"You shouldn't ask that. He's so sad."
"Sorry."
"It's okay, I'm fine."
"My name is Lion, this bad girl is Rion and the guy around you is Valentine. We're adventurers."
"I'm Calistha Fermia."
"He's so cute."
"I think the same, too" I replied to Rion.
I asked Calistha to explain what really happened and it was quite surprising that not only had the guards been exterminated, they had also killed the king and queen in front of her daughter.
Initially this princess will be handed over to the Northern Demon King thankfully we are not late, given the bad situation that is happening in this kingdom we are unlikely to leave Calistha alone.
I finally asked Valentine to continue with the princess while Rion and I in the form of his sword would gather some people who would protect this city, after wearing my mask back I stood in front of all the happy and worried residents of the capital.
They were used as forced laborers or as slaves but now they are free.
"It wasn't him who saved us all."

"Calm all of you, my name is Lion as you say I have saved this capital but it is certainly an order from Princess Calistha that I serve... Princess Calistha intends to take her kingdom back, anyone who wants to fight please come forward and join the new knight army that will be named the liberation army.
Silence was felt between all of us.
They all whispered to each other.
"Do you want to leave this country like this, the demons have taken away your right to live, killed your family and even desecrated your children.. now it's time we avenge them for our own future."
One of the women raised her hand, she had long red hair with ruby-red eyes that were filled with strong determination.
He held up a sword with both hands at chest-high which signified an attitude to devote himself and give his life to this kingdom.
"My name is Lucia."
She was the woman I saved.
