Chapter 05: A Trap That Has Been Prepared

The man got up after one of his comrades healed him with magic.


I held the sword sheath in my left hand while the right hand was his sword, without lowering my supervision I continued to look around me.


"What does this mean? You're trying to attack me."


The man I cut off his hand replied with a bitter smile.


"We saw you walk out of that vampire house, if not his friend, then who else are you?"


"I'm there to complete the quest."


"Where possible, we wanted to eliminate the woman from the beginning."


"Not so, the receptionist also said I could go there to run the quest."


I glanced at the woman in question and she turned her face away.


"What the fuck? You set me up but what's the reason?"


Rion answered.


"I don't actually want to say it but actually that woman is a demon, it seems like she's a demon sent to spy on this city."


"So that's it."


"I warn you, with your present strength you will not be able to defeat him, better escape quickly."


"What about the vampire woman."


"The demon race is hated by humans and vice versa, just let him die."


I recalled my encounter with Valentine, he kept insisting that he was human.


In other words it was not his own wish that he turned into a vampire.


Shit, when I just arrived in this world but the problem has come to me.


"I'm going to save that woman."


"As far as you go."


I ran to the side to break the window before rolling forward and then ran towards the Valentine residence.


Some adventurers tried to confront me, but I stretched out my hand and it created a plant magic that ensnared them helplessly.


This magic is called [Magic Tree] which allows users to manipulate any plant, with a quick movement I reached the mansion until I saw Valentine was surrounded by several adventurers.


"I told you to get out of here, '" cried Valentine terrified.


"We'll leave after killing you."


I touched the roses in this residence, with my skill I moved their tendrils which ensnared the entire body of the adventurer.


"You okay?"


"Who are you?"


I tore the leaf mask off my face.


"Aren't you the one?"


"It's a long story, I'll explain later."


"Here you go, let's go."


"Just for a minute."


Valentine came into the house, just as he was coming out I immediately pulled him running with me until he hid behind a quiet alley.


I hugged Valentine while closing his mouth and he just glared at me.


"I think it's safe."


While I breathed a sigh of relief, Valentine stepped on my foot until I was in pain.


"What are you doing?"


"Your own fault" she replied.


Rion cutting.


"Obviously you have to get out of this town, I think going through the underground sewers is our only way."


"It looks so."


I let Valentine down first while I caught up later, the smell of unpleasant smell was the first impression upon entering this place.


"You're Lion, right? Take this."


Valentine gives a white mask with a pattern of two black lines from top to bottom and from left to right forming a plus sign.


Even though there were no eye or nose holes, I could still see or breathe air.


"This mask is powerful" I said in my heart before opening my mouth.


"Is this what you took from your mansion?"


"Ms."


"Thank you."


"You guys are lucky to escape, I'm sure the demon lord has been eyeing this town for a long time."


"Demon king?" ask Valentine.


"You're a vampire but you don't know anything about it."


"I just remember someone killing my entire family and suddenly forcing me to drink his blood."


"So that's it."


"What's wrong? Please explain it to me."


I demand that of Rion.


"Valantine seems to have been deliberately turned into a vampire, I don't know the reason but that one must have been mean to you."


"Is that a receptionist?"


"The chances are very great, if he wants Valentine."


I nodded in agreement.


"If it makes sense that he deliberately set me up from the start."
