“Oppa... wake up..” Aleya touched San Hyuk's shoulder again, the umpteenth time she tried to wake him up. But the man was still asleep even though the sun almost touched the crown.
“Oppa...” Aleya grabbed San Hyuk's hand and tried to pull him down. It was nothing, but it was already noon and the man had to fill his stomach. Nor does he know if San Hyuk has any appointments to attend.
“O...ppa...” is not like before, this time Aleya's voice was restrained. Unexpectedly by the girl, San Hyuk suddenly pulled her up to make Aleya's tiny body fall over San Hyuk. Aleya's plain face instantly heated up once in contact with San Hyuk's skin that felt warm. The man hugged her tightly.
“Before...” murmured San Hyuk while tightening his hands around Aleya's neck.
“Oppa!” Aleya accidentally hits San Hyuk's shoulder for him to wake up from his sleep.
San Hyuk was surprised, his heavy eyes opened wide when he realized that he was not dreaming, “Aleya! Why are you in si..” San Hyuk's sentence stopped. He just realized that he was not in his room, “ini where?”
“In my house, my room is exactly!” Aleya tried to shake off the strange feeling she had just felt. He took his eyes off San Hyuk while covering his now warm face, “clean yourself, the bathroom is there, your clothes are there!”
“Origin Oppa knows, it was not I who released him, but Oppa himself. I washed it!” Aleya gave her instructions and explanation hurriedly without having the time San Hyuk interrupted her. He wanted to rush out of the room. But before he actually came out of the room, Aleya stopped at the door because she remembered something, “there is warm honey water on the nightstand, drink it before taking a bath,” Aleya said without looking back. Sure was! If he turned his head he would see San Hyuk's innocent body!
Like someone who just realized his mistake. San Hyuk rubbed his face violently. She doesn't remember what happened last night until she ends up at Aleya's house. There was a feeling of disappointment in himself for having pointed his shameful side at Aleya. Not to mention he had to do something troublesome for the girl.
San Hyuk immediately recalled Aleya's message. After drinking Aleya's honey-sweetened water, she walked towards the bathroom. His steps were shuffled while covering his lower body which only lit the boxer with a blanket he used overnight. Even now the blanket that had the scent of lavender Aleya turned into the smell of liquor because it came into contact with her body. San Hyuk cursed inwardly realizing his folly.
San Hyuk's memory is completely gone. He's with Yong Nam, but why is he with Aleya now? It really doesn't make any sense. Did he walk alone here so desperate? Oh, but doesn't San Hyuk not know where Aleya lives?
Even in the air shower, it cannot restore San Hyuk's consciousness. He quickly finished his routine and walked out of the bathroom. Now that San Hyuk's mind had settled into place, he began to observe the details of Aleya's room. Very plain and minimalist. There wasn't much stuff in his room. Aleya's room tone also only contained three colors, black gray and dark blue.
Aleya's words!
Be aware of his current position. San Hyuk hurriedly walked towards the door and held the door knob nervously. If Aleya already has children, of course her child is in this house. Yes that's for sure!
But San Hyuk's courage and curiosity are only separated by a thin thread laden with fear over many things. He did not know if he was ready to face whatever was behind that door.
The knock on the door made San Hyuk's heart thump. After giving a reasonable pause, San Hyuk opened the door for the sake of seeing and facing reality.
The reality that hit the reality of his life.
The trail was clearly real in front of him. Lots of baby equipment and toys scattered in the main room as well as the kitchen are interconnected. San Hyuk swallowed his saliva which felt so bitter that it made his heart ache. But what makes him sick?
“I said it, right? Why is it still surprised like that?” Aleya could tell what San Hyuk was thinking after reading the motion of his pupils. The man unconsciously tightened his fist to withstand the undue outburst of emotion.
“A...your child? Ah...Your husband?” there was more to it than where Aleya's son was, but her husband. What would he say if he had to meet a man who had full rights over the woman he loved?
“We eat first. After that I will tell you everything,” Aleya grabbed San Hyuk's arm and guided him to the dining table. The man's steps were heavy and a feeling of anxiety encompassed him as soon as he sat down at the dinner table.
“There is fried rice, this is Indonesian cuisine. Oppa should try it here. I will brew tea for you,” San Hyuk just fell silent staring at the plate of fried rice that was in front of him. He did not know if his esophagus was able to swallow food with an uncertain sense of purpose. It was not because of disinterest or hunger, but it was San Hyuk's thoughts and feelings that now took up most of his consciousness. His brain was too tired to digest the information he had just obtained.
“Not interested in tasting it?” reprimand Aleya while sitting across from San Hyuk. He held out a cup of tea for San Hyuk and himself.
“No...not..but..” San Hyuk was confused as to where to start this conversation from. His head that still feels heavy because of the liquor last night feels dizzy because of the reality that he has to face now.
“Nothing,” said Aleya firmly, “I do have children, but there is no such person. I have never been married and I have no lover let alone a husband. I raised the child myself,” explained Aleya as she looked at the obvious concussion on San Hyuk's face.
“Why..” San Hyuk bit his lips firmly until fresh blood felt on his tongue. He tried to restrain himself and felt the question was presumptuous because it concerned one's life. Aleya is so young. Why didn't he take off his fetus and choose to go through all these difficulties alone? Catching a child for someone who is truly an adult can be very difficult. On the basis of what made Aleya decide such a big choice by herself?
“Because that's when the opportunity God gave me to have a family,” Aleya replied steadily as if knowing what San Hyuk had in mind. “How could I miss such a precious opportunity?”
The smile etched beautifully on Aleya's face made San Hyuk realize something. His heart that had been so painful slowly faded away in order to feel the warmth that was slowly embracing him in warmth. The man's tears involuntarily escaped from his eyes along with the freezing of his heart and mind.
