San Hyuk's eyes were inseparable from Aleya's even as Thomas and Chrisma walked out of the room after he indirectly expelled the two. There was nothing to fear. The respect he wanted to maintain he simply ignored.
Aleya was his top priority. He couldn't stop worrying about Aleya's face turning pale as she was with them. The longer they spoke, the fainter the hue of Aleya's face became. San Hyuk did not even dare to let go of his handrails, timidly if he did, Aleya would simply decay without anyone noticing it.
“Do you want to lie down?” San Hyuk wanted to contact a doctor as soon as possible to confirm Aleya's condition. He didn't want anything to happen to that woman.
Instead of answering San Hyuk's question, Aleya drowned herself into the chest of San Hyuk's field. Regardless of San Hyuk's panic, Aleya further tightened her embrace of the man. He filled his lung cavity with air enveloped in the scent of San Hyuk's body that was familiar to him. It was as if only that space could make him free to breathe.
“Why did you become like this anyway? You know this is cheating, right?” San Hyuk instead hated Aleya's attitude which suddenly became spoiled and no longer kept her distance. But it was his timing that wasn't on his side. He had to refrain from attacking Aleya when her condition was not good like this.
“I want to escape from here..” whispered Aleya softly.
“That's an easy thing isn't it?”
Aleya shook her head. He can't do it easily. There is a sense of responsibility that must be fulfilled as a child. No matter how badly Aleya's parents treated her, but it was thanks to them that Aleya was able to survive. Even his meeting with a man as good as San Hyuk was not separated from that part of gratitude.
“I don't want to miss anything this time. This is so weird!” without letting go of Aleya's embrace, San Hyuk made himself as comfortable as possible leaning on the side of the sofa, “if your parents hated Han Byeol, why didn't they let go of Han Byeol? Wouldn't it be easier not to acknowledge her as his granddaughter than to take the trouble to put her in your surname?”
“Toh you have also officially married me, Han Byeol could have been my son and you are willing to be his eomma. There is so much we can do!” San Hyuk did not think. He could not read what the intentions and desires of his father-in-law were.
“That's because Han Byeol is really their grandson, Han Byeol is very similar to my foster brother,” Aleya tightened her grip on San Hyuk's shirt and further submerged her face deep. He did not want San Hyuk to see his face at this moment.
“You.. I understand if this hurts, but it's time you told me everything. I have to know all the problems so I can determine what I should do going forward!” san Hyuk's sentence pitched the order. He is now brave and entitled to know what happened given the green light Aleya had given him. He did not want to waste the opportunity that had been given by not taking advantage of this moment to make Aleya more trusting and dependent on him.
“I thought I had forgotten everything, but upon hearing that Kak Jagad was going to Korea, I suddenly became like this.” even though Aleya did not lift her face, she said, San Hyuk knows that the woman started crying, “I'm afraid, I'm afraid of that person.”.
This was her first time being honest with herself. All this time he kept his fears alone. He has no place to express his feelings to anyone. He never had a friend that he could share his feelings with.
“Shortly... Let me get this straight..” San Hyuk was almost speechless when he heard the fact he had just heard. All this time he had not been so eager to discuss Aleya's past. But all of this is different if what he thinks really happened. The assumptions that have been in his mind so far must be explained so that no one else keeps the happiness of their family in the future.
“Then why didn't your parents take care of him if they wanted to have Han Byeol now?” san Hyuk asked as soon as Aleya just nodded her head.
“I... they.. don't know..” Aleya's voice grew smoother as she said it.
“How do you not know? Isn...” San Hyuk did not continue his sentence as Aleya's cries grew louder. There is something wrong with all of this. San Hyuk straightened Aleya's body to see her face.
“What happened to you!” san Hyuk's chest is hunted by a feeling of anger that is ready to explode.
“I...I don't know..” Aleya did not dare to raise her head to stare at San Hyuk. Although San Hyuk tried to look Aleya in the eye, the woman remained unmoved. He even closed his eyes tightly even though the tears still escaped from both corners of the net.
“HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW!” San Hyuk involuntarily vented his emotions at Aleya. He immediately swallowed his saliva as soon as he realized what he had done, “forgive me..forgive me..” San Hyuk directly showered Aleya's face with a kiss. He felt he had made a fatal mistake.
“I don't know how I can be there.I lost all my strength when they did that to me. I can't do anything. Even I can't I scream for help.me.and was unconscious after four days.” painstakingly Aleya explained what she remembered about what was natural. She may not even believe her own memory because she does not know if she is experiencing hallucinations or not until she finally knows that she is pregnant.
Them?
San Hyuk's tears welled up in his eyes as he imagined what had happened to Aleya.
Again, he also had to hold back his emotions. His jaw hardened withstanding the outpouring of anger in order not to go out there. He could no longer even ask. Her hearing couldn't possibly be wrong and if it was true, then Aleya was in the influence of a drug when they did that vile thing to Aleya.
“I just realized that Han Byeol was the son of my adoptive brother once he started growing up, he..” Aleya could not continue her sentence. He heard clearly what Han Byeol said, his son's guess was not wrong. Aleya was often surprised by Han Byeol's presence. He could not even hide his fear in the boy. It was the thing that made him feel the most guilty.
“It wasn't your fault or Han Byeol's fault!” cut San Hyuk. He wiped away Aleya's tears that were flowing back.
“You've been through everything really well, now it's my turn to do what I can do for you..” San Hyuk let his tears fall down his cheeks.
It's too cruel to be alone.
