Cursed Thrones
Chapter 11 - Information Shards

'Sruugg! Srruug! Oruugg!'

From a distance, several soldiers were seen walking on this dirt road. Together with them were some green-skinned and small-bodied demons chained up.

The soldiers dragged the monster known as Goblin violently. As if it were just an item that could be thrown away at any time.

"Speed up your steps!"

"Kraaah! Kuugh!!" some of the goblins were in pain.

"Sad, these stupid monsters...."

"Captain, are you sure to bring them? They look completely useless." said one of the soldiers with light armour.

At the very front, a Knight with thick armor was seen leading them all.

Hearing his subordinate's question, he turned his head. Showing her face that has somewhat white skin and slightly narrowed eyes.

"of course. They can work in an iron mine in my territory. Relax, I'll treat you to a drink later." The knight replied.

"Whoahs! Thanks captain!"

"Captain Nakamura is the best!"

Instantly, the spirit of his army increased drastically. Making the atmosphere on the squad of 12 soldiers led by a Knight was bright again.

It's just....

'Na-Nakamura?! This name.... Don't tell me, people from my world? Unmistakable, his name was like someone from China or something.' thought Brian who was currently pulled over, giving way to the troop troupe.

The same thing Cecilia did, of course, because Brian suggested himself.

Hiding is no longer possible in the middle of this spacious road.

Running away would only raise the suspicions of the soldiers. Which had even been quite close to the two of them before.

So the only way, is to let them pass first while paying their respects.

Cecilia along with Brian slightly lowered their heads towards the streets.

Looking at the two, the entire soldier was delighted as well.

"Thank you." said the captain of the squad, Nakamura briefly. He kept walking after a slight glance towards the two.

The eyes of Brian and Nakamura looked at each other for a moment. Before the army finally went away.

While looking at the figure on the Goblin that was pulled with the chain, Brian asked.

"So such a thing is natural?"

Cecilia simply nodded lightly while pulling her beanie down. Made even his eyes covered by that beanie.

"Then, the captain.... What did you say had Hecate's blood?" ask Brian again.

"Really.... I'm very sure, because I see the same in our bodies." Cecilia replied with a trembling body.

He still could not believe this reality. During this time, Cecilia always thought that the world was only black and white with humans as defenders of truth.

But look at the figure of the man....

Making himself increasingly doubtful over which side actually favors the virtues.

'I can feel it. The look in those eyes was the gaze of someone strong. Just like some senior in my office back then. It's not wrong anymore.' thought Brian while recalling the face of the man named Nakamura.

"So.... Do you still dare to enter the city?"

Cecilia's spirit seemed to decline after learning about it just now. Even hearing Brian's question, he still quietly did not answer.

"Aren't you able to see a little bit of the future? Just like the arrow that pierced through my arm and the man just now?" ask Brian again.

Cecilia remained silent, unwilling to answer.

"Well.... With that power you should...."

Thinking of the possibility that humanity was actually exploiting the rest of Hecate's power, Brian also began to goosebumps.

What if the knight commander of that Sacred Order also possessed the power of Hecate?

'No! Nah! That's just not possible. Or the.... Is possible?'

"Listen, Cecilia. I don't think it's any good to think about it continuously. What if we continue? And if things get worse we run away?"

"Hm.... I think I agree with that. You're right."

The two continued their journey to Mapleford City.

......***......

...- Frostbite Region - ...

In a high mountain, far away in the depths of the Frostbite region covered by eternal snow, a bluish-white castle loomed high.

Rows of soldiers with light blue armor are seen guarding the castle from outside to inside.

All have the same characteristics, namely having bluish hair with pale white skin and long pinnate ears.

One of the soldiers was seen running hastily towards the throne room. A throne with a throne made of ice.

'Slicing!'

"Your Majesty, bad news. The village in the South was destroyed a few weeks ago. One of the patrolmen noticed it when he was about to collect taxes" the soldier said as he placed his spear on the floor.

Hearing the news, the ruler who had a large and strong stature began to raise his face.

"Holy Command?" ask the ruler.

"Truely, more precisely the sixth holy order" the soldier replied as he continued to kneel before him.

"What about the rest of Hecate's strength?"

The sentence of the question was thrown out in a slightly trembling voice. As if I were worried about what might happen.

"Destroyed.." replied the soldier in a limp voice.

'Braaakkk! Kreettaa!!'kkk!!!'

The ruler immediately hit his own throne until it cracked. Even the cracks widened to the floor close to the soldier who brought the message.

Slowly, the ruler began to stand up. Its height reaches about 195cm with a stocky body. Her skin was pale white with bluish hair and long ears.

It's just....

His left hand looks different. With a deep black skin color and many reddish grooves that seem to light up and give off heat.

He began to walk towards the messenger slowly and stared right at his two eyes.

"Yes-Your Majesty?" ask the soldier in fear. He thought that his Master might be very angry at the news and would punish him.

But in reality, as he gazed towards those crystal-like bright blue eyes....

"I'm sick of holy orders. Prepare 50,000 soldiers, I will show them to the humans who they are fighting." the ruler replied in a voice that seemed so heavy.

He immediately walked away, leaving this throne room.

The entire guard inside this room immediately followed his footsteps.

Footsteps that bring deadly cold temperatures every time his feet hit the ground. Freeze everything around it.

Upon arrival outside the throne room, several soldiers were seen carrying the ruler's equipment. A fixture in the form of light blue thick armor and a long bluish crystal spear.

"Mankind, you have gone too far. I, Freisch the ruler of Frosbite, also with Hecate's left hand.... Will destroy you." the Frostbite Lord told himself.

The cheers of his followers, the Frost Elves, sounded so lively as he lifted his spear into the air.

And with that, the beginning of a new war will begin soon.
