After spending most of their money together with shopping for supplies, now Cecilia asks to eat at a restaurant that is quite luxurious.
"After that great achievement, we should celebrate!" cecilia shouted before devouring one whole roasted duck alone.
Brian who realized their spending this time was too extreme, knew that sooner or later he had to take a new Quest.
'Huh.... If this continues, when can you save to buy a house and land? Damn it.' Brian thought in his heart while eating rice and a piece of grilled chicken.
After finishing their meal, only Brian could still walk upright. Cecilia can now only walk slowly with her stomach growing behind her new armour.
"Wuaaah.... It's delicious." said Cecilia satisfied while continuing to follow Brian's footsteps.
"Enak? Good, because we just spent over 40 silver coins."
"Huh?! What's?! How can?!"
"Ask all the food and drink in your stomach."
Brian's previous admiration for Cecilia's beauty again plummeted deep into the ground. Now in front of her, was a greedy and sometimes a little slow girl.
Even so....
He was the only person Brian could trust completely.
'Brahakk!'
Behind the doors of these Guild buildings, it looked quite a bit adventurous. Different from the previous one.
When Brian was still wondering why it could be so, he immediately remembered the incident a moment ago.
'Oh, that's right too. Aren't most of them killed by that demon?' brian thought in his heart.
He continued his footsteps towards the notice board. Where many Quests are affixed, waiting to be taken by brave adventurers.
It's just....
"Huwaah, a lot. You sure you don't want to recruit new adventurers?" brian complained to the Guild employees who were now standing nearby.
The employee was none other than Adelle.
"Unfortunately most died in the Grenary region. It will take a little time to recruit new adventurers." replied the girl.
'Stamp!'
Secretly, Brian placed a gold coin in Adelle's hand. With a faint smile, Adelle accepted it while nodding her head.
"Brian! What about this Quest?!" cecilia asked while pointing to a poster.
"Where look...."
On a poster designated by Cecilia, a picture of a wyvern flying with many red skull caps on top of the poster is seen.
...[.The Wyvern of Frostbite has been known to roam the territory of the Empire! Hunt them down and bring their heads to pick up the reward. Total prize: 50 gold coins. Warning: Wyvern is a small, fast-flying dragon. Very dangerous.]...
Reflexively, Brian immediately looked at Cecilia cynically.
"You.... You know we almost died yesterday, right? Then what the fuck is this?"
"A lot of money!"
"Rejected! Are you crazy?!"
Brian immediately tried to find another Quest. But the problem is, the current Quest has a difference in difficulty level that is too high.
On one hand, there was a Quest to clean the sewers from the dirty garbage. But on the other hand, there was a Quest to infiltrate the Frostbite region and hunt down the Frost Elf race.
There was not a single Quest with any level of difficulty in the midst of it.
Like hunting goblins or wolves. There's absolutely nothing.
"You.... You sabotaged this Quest?! Why is everything so difficult and easy?!" brian complained to Adelle who was still standing next to him.
While bowing her head, Adelle also replied.
"Excuse us, but the existence of the ninth sacred order around the Mapleford region left many monsters killed. Reducing the number of low-to-medium level Quests decreased drastically."
"Damn it! That damn troop stole our job?!"
"We. Guilds are also losing money because there are not many new Quest." continued Adelle.
After looking back at that Quest board, Brian finally gave up. There was not a single Quest that matched the strength of the two of them at the moment.
The two sat at one of the tables and ordered a cold beer. Think about the next step.
"You know? I don't want to clean the drains from the trash." said Cecilia with a face that seemed so lazy.
"You think I want to? But considering our money.... Maybe we should take something easy."
Both of them sipped their beers to calm the mind. Would their money be enough to last until a decent quest appeared? Or should they be forced to do some odd jobs?
After a while, Cecilia turned her face. Seeing a familiar figure.
'Tap 'em! Aap!'
Cecilia immediately patted Brian and pointed in a direction.
"Ronald. Hm? Right, they survived, huh?" reply Brian who turned to the direction the Elf girl pointed at.
In the corner of the main hall of this Guild, there was a figure of 4 people sitting in silence. Their faces looked so tense, and not many words came out of their mouths.
"They look very depressed."
"Of course, you don't remember what the devil did? I'm still scared."
Suddenly....
'BRAAAAKKK!'
One of Ronald's men hit the wooden table hard and threw his wooden glass to the floor.
He stood up while shouting.
"That's enough! I'm tired of this adventure! I will return to the village as a farmer! At least my life is guaranteed there!" shouted the big man.
"Tu-wait! What about our purpose?" ronald asked while trying to keep him away.
"Destination huh?! Aaah, hunt the dragon?! Do you know how powerful the dragon is?! Even one demon we've defeated! Especially dragons!" he pushed Ronald hard. Made him fall to the floor.
The other young man finally got up from his chair as well.
"He's right. It's better for me to return to being a craftsman on the outskirts of the city than to be demon food" he said, leaving the Guild.
To prove their determination, the two even threw their adventurer cards on the floor.
Ronald could do nothing but hit the floor. Express his frustration over the situation.
Some of the other adventurers in the Guild who saw them, only acted cold.
After all, this was not the first time an adventurer feared death and finally stopped. In fact, it was still fortunate that they had a chance to stop.
Unlike those who have gone without a second chance.
Seeing him his closest companion opened the doors of these Guilds and left, Ronald's heart felt so sliced.
Next to their table, there was only the figure of a girl in white magician clothes.
"Vania.... Are you going too?" ronald asked in a trembling voice.
Vania could only be quiet. Didn't answer a word as he continued to stare at the water in his glass.
After a few minutes....
"Aarrggh! Goddamnit! Goddamnit! Goddamnit! Ohhhhoo!!! All righty! It's up to all of you! Just away! What can I do?!" Ronald's screams were full of emotion.
Her screams and anger made the girl even more frightened. He closed his eyes while continuing to hope that all this would end soon.
'Braaakk! Braaakk! Braaakk!'
Ronald kept hitting his desk a few times. Shed some food on Vania's plate and glass.
Now the girl could only cover her ears with both hands. Hiding behind fear.
And just before Ronald slammed the beer-filled glass into his desk....
'Sreeet!!'
The extremely strong hand grip stopped his movement completely. Even his hands were unable to move in the slightest.
When Ronald turned his head, he saw the figure of a man with brownish hair and rosy eyes.
"Stop, you're scaring him" Brian said with a sharp look.
In front of him, the figure of Cecilia had been sitting on the table. Staring right into Ronald's eyes with hatred.
"It doesn't matter if you're weak, but don't overpower others. And even more a girl. Know it? I'm deeply offended by your attitude." said Cecilia.
"What the fuck?! What do you guys know?! Huh uh?! What's...."
'Bruuukkk!!!'
Brian grabbed Ronald's leg and locked both arms behind him before lifting Ronald's body back up. Shed that glass of beer on the floor.
He then glanced towards one of the nearby Guild employees.
"Thank you for helping us keep this place quiet" said the Guild employee, bowing his head slightly.
"Together." replied Brian briefly who brought Ronald out of this Guild building.
If Brian had not acted, it was likely that Guild employees would have done the same.
And now, after being outside the Guild....
'Bruuukk!'
Brian threw Ronald's body to the ground.
"Damn it! You you?! Who do you think you are?! Huh uh?!
"Brian." retorted briefly before immediately returning into the Guild. Leaving the figure of Ronald who was still rampaging was alone.
