Cursed Thrones
Chapter 27 - Grenary's

...-Grenary Region -...

Unlike the previous village, the Grenary region is a fairly large area. Throughout the eye looked, the golden wheat field was so beautiful.

Seen occasionally the figure of the farmers who are still working hard on the land. Greeting these two adventurers who had just arrived.

"Well, new adventurer? Welcome to Grenary!" greet one of the farmers with that straw hat.

Brian just smiled kindly while slightly nodding his head. And so did Cecilia.

"Wait, are there many adventurers here?" ask Brian after a few steps. He just realized the meaning of the greeting sentence.

"You're right. There were about dozens of adventurers who came here. They said something like.... The ogar? Ogur?" the old man farmer replied with a bit of confusion.

"Ogres! He said the monster was large and dangerous. Whatever it is, we just feel safe because many adventurers are here." said another farmer who is across the stone road.

"So many people come here? Doesn't that mean our gifts will be taken away by others?" whispered Cecilia while elbowing Brian's stomach.

"Basic, why are you still thinking about that?" brian replied in a whisper.

'But that means.... Isn't this Ogre much more dangerous than I thought?' brian thought in his heart.

Suppressing the thought just for himself, the two continued their journey down this stone path.

Although not so flat, but this road is big enough for a horse carriage to pass. Where once in a while, horse carriages passed out or entered this region.

In the center of this region, was a small town with walls made of wood. Protect the entire city with a total population of 50,000.

The atmosphere of this city is not as crowded when in Mapleford. But it was already quite crowded when compared to the previous village.

"Brian.... I'm hungry." said Cecilia as she pulled the man's right arm.

"alright. We'll find something to eat. Ah, maybe there?"

Brian pointed towards the distance, where a fairly large building with three floors was located.

A crowd of visitors came in and out of the building.

"House to eat!" shouted Cecilia who immediately ran excitedly.

"Stupid! Wait!"

Behind the wooden door, dozens of adventurers were enjoying their lunch.

"Haha! We're gonna clean up this fucking Ogre and go home with a big present!" shouted a young man while raising his wooden glass up.

"Only an Ogre, it must be easy." replied the figure of the man next to him who was still busy enjoying his food.

In front of the two, a girl in a white magician robe was terrified.

"Are you all sure? I'm honestly a little scared...."

Suddenly, another young man grabbed him tightly. One-handed swords were hung on the young man's back.

"Just calm down, Vania. Everything's gonna be fine. Trust me." said the redhead.

"Ronald's right. We'll be fine."

Brian who was staring at them from a distance felt very confident over one thing.

'Of course you're not going to be okay. Such equipment, even drunk before work? Huh....'

After seeing the attitude of the other adventurers, they all looked very relaxed. As if underestimating the danger he might face.

Perhaps, this was the effect of the peace they had felt for decades. It may also be because they have never faced death directly.

As for Brian and also Cecilia who had faced life and death situations before....

"Br-Turkey! Hear you? They got lamb here! And look at the price! Whatever happens, I'll eat 3 servings!"

'Huh.... Maybe we won't be okay either?' brian thought after seeing Cecilia's so relaxed manner.

Brian sat down immediately. See the menu served by this restaurant. After a while, Brian had finally made his choice.

"Baked bread and roast beef."

"Eh?! You don't want to try sheep? You know what it's like...."

Leaving the words of Cecilia through his ears, Brian remained silent while resting his body.

Even so, the prize was no joke. 25 silver coins just by participating, 10 gold coins if it was true found an Ogre in this region. And 50 gold coins if it is double-headed Ogre*.'

Thinking back on the rewards offered by Guilds, there was indeed not much information obtained.

They only knew that there were rumors regarding the existence of Ogre in this region. No more, no less.

Don't even know where they are.

Even so, the Guild remained silent in response to these rumors. They immediately opened a Quest for adventurers to investigate the truth. Including killing that Ogre if there is one.

One of the biggest reasons, was the strength of the Ogre itself.

An Ogre could flatten a village by himself. And in general, Ogres live in groups but are quite far from each other.

If one Ogre is found, then there's no mistake.

There were other Ogres around him.

"Well.... Hopefully there is. I just want to buy some land and live a quiet life" Brian said as he looked at his sword.

A sword he had bought from Jareth's shop, and it had been sharpened several times by him.

"Lick! Just chill! Leave it to my vision!" reply Cecilia after gulping down a glass of wood the drink.

Brian smiled at the reply. He felt that he had a partner who was very trustworthy and reliable.

However, Brian slowly began to realize the glass in Cecilia's right hand. With the rest of the slightly yellowish and slightly foaming liquid it....

Nothing else is beer.

Instantly, Brian's smile immediately faded.

"Stupid! What happens if you get drunk?!"

......***......

They rented a room with two beds to rest in. After enjoying the meal, the two slept to recover their energy.

And at night, not only Brian and Cecilia.

But also dozens of other adventurers were seen starting to leave the inn. Everyone began to prepare themselves to explore the darkness of the forest.

Looking for the existence of the rumored Ogre figure.

Since the Ogre is only active at night, just like most other demon races, the quests are much more effective at night.

As they move to find prey.

Of the many adventurers, it looks one of the most attention-grabbing groups.

How not?

"Well! Rich kid, what are you doing here?"

"Why not go and ask your family for money, huh?!"

"Save us a chance to make some money!"

Seen complaints of other adventurers against a group with all-glossy equipment.

On the front, the figure of a man with bright white armour that covered almost his entire body was, seen standing with quite an arrogant attitude.

Similarly, 4 other members who each wore armor and also shiny weaponry. Marking one, or most of them came from among the nobility.

"I'm sorry, but there's no prohibition against nobles being adventurers, right?" reply the full white-spirited man.

He then immediately walked past the crowd. Just hit everything without any worry.

Brian, who had seen all of that from a distance, immediately looked at himself. With Cecilia.

The current one, was only wearing ordinary clothes with a hint of cheap leather armor.

'Huh.... At least I knew looking like that was a bad thing.' Brian thought in his heart as he continued his steps.

Cecilia in the back, was seen walking leisurely while singing.

All the adventurers, too, began to enter the darkness of the forest in this region of Grenary. Looking for the existence of the rumored Ogre figure.
