Rania opened the envelope in her hand. He was surprised to see the contents of the envelope which turned out to be cash. Inside, he also found a piece of paper tucked inside the envelope.
Rania picked up the paper that was there, then started to read the paper that contained the handwriting.
Rania, this is the money I borrowed yesterday. Maybe the amount is much less than your husband gave, but I promise I will return the money in installments.
In the village, I already have a small business. It's all thanks to the help of you two. I say a thousand thanks, and pray for you to always be poured out of fortune and become a harmonious family.
Dion's.
Rania folded the paper after reading it. He sighed for a moment, then developed his smile after reading a letter sent by his former lover.
"When did he give you this?" ask Rania.
"Then he came to the clinic directly. He wanted to see you at the apartment, but said you had moved. He came to the clinic, apparently I also no longer work," explained Hilda while eating snacks served on the table.
"Why? Did the letter offend you?" hilda continued, chewing her food.
"No, he doesn't offend me one bit. Just delivered a few messages and I was very happy to hear that she had risen from her slump" Rania put the letter back in a large envelope.
After Alvaro returned to work, he immediately showed the letter to the husband. Rania does not want to cover the slightest thing to her husband, especially if it concerns her ex-boyfriend.
"Looks like he's a good guy, why did you let him go first? His career was good too. He's a head at a famous hospital, right? If it's not wrong, you tell me the time" said Hilda who was curious about Rania's past.
"He was a good man, but he used to be a lost place. And now, he is no longer the head of the hospital after his divorce from his wife" Rania told Hilda.
Hilda nodded her head in understanding, she already understood why Rania was separated without being further explained by her friend.
"That's destiny, we can't expect it. Sometimes to think of it a little bit makes no sense. Those who used to love each other suddenly change their hearts. However, if there is no betrayal from the previous man, maybe at this time you are not a match with the duren mateng," said Hilda as she rolled her eyes.
"Well, why is my husband likened to duren mateng?" Rania poked her lips.
Hilda again grabbed her glass of juice, pushing the food that felt stuck in the esophagus.
"I mean duren mateng it's an abbreviation for your husband, Doctor Ma'am. Which means cool, established, and handsome widower. I'm not a hypocrite, when I first met on a blind date, I was quite amazed to see it. It was as if her face was emitting a light as bright as the sun," Hilda explained recalling the first time she had met Alvaro.
Rania chuckled amusedly at Hilda's parable that looked so exaggerated. "Well, right now in your eyes my husband is still as bright as the sun?" asked Rania to smile.
"Ah, of course not. The light was dim and replaced by my future husband. The point is my husband is the most handsome man in the world" said Hilda proud of her future husband.
"So did I" said Rania to make their laughter break.
There are a lot of things that the two talk about. The drowsiness that attacked Rania, now slowly left after the presence of Hilda.
"I was a little nervous before the wedding day" said Hilda.
"Sama, I did too. Yesterday had a cold heat especially before carrying out the unboxing ritual," chirped Rania who began to discuss things a little strange.
"Well this is the one who makes me a little nervous, that moment ...." Hilda bent her lips slightly inward, a sign that the girl was embarrassed to do so.
"Mrs ...." The sound of Bima from a distance.
They also stopped the conversation when they heard Bima's voice. Rania turned her gaze to the source of the voice, seeing her son coming over so cheerfully.
"Eh, my mom's son is home. Salim Aunt Hilda first, son." Rania tells her son to meet Hilda.
Hilda smiled as Bima grabbed the back of her hand and then kissed her. "Bima is getting better looking. Later if it's grown up to be a daughter-in-law of Aunt only, Bima want?" asked Hilda who seemed to think that Bima was an item, afraid of being ordered in advance because of her many enthusiasts.
"What son-in-law is that, Ma?" bima asked looking at her mother.
"Here, don't listen. Bima will know it after adulthood. Now Bima goes to the room and changes her clothes huh, son. After that we eat together with Aunt Hilda," said Rania told her son.
"Good, Ma."
Bima immediately stepped her feet towards the room. Rania and Hilda looked at the boy up the stairs.
"Bima is a very obedient child. You are very lucky to be in their midst" said Hilda.
"Yes. I am grateful to have met good people. For example you," said Rania.
"Don't make me blush, Doctor." Hilda covered both of her cheeks.
"I'm serious" Rania assured her friend.
A moment later, Bima came back to see her mother wearing her casual clothes. Rania got up from her seat, inviting Hilda to enjoy lunch at her house.
"By pleasure. I will welcome you" said Rania to the dining table with the others.
Upon arrival, various dishes were served. The three people immediately occupied their respective seats, eating the food served quietly.
Time has shown the afternoon. Hilda had been at Rania's house for a long time to talk about things. Rania also felt happy because she was accompanied by Hilda.
Hilda says goodbye home. The girl waved her hand at Rania and started getting into the taxi. The car carrying Hilda slowly left Rania's residence.
...****************...
At night, Rania waited for her husband to clean himself in the bathroom. He couldn't possibly have talked about Dion's problems while Alvaro had just returned home from work. At least taking dinner or while resting is the right time to talk about everything.
The bathroom door opened, showing a handsome man wearing a towel around his waist, wet hair, dripping with water that had soaked Alvaro's shoulder area.
Rania, although she had often seen the torn bread Alvaro, but the woman always swallowed her saliva every time she looked at the burly body of her beloved husband.
"Shut your mouth a little gaping" said Alvaro as he chuckled.
Rania again normalized her facial expression. He held both cheeks that felt hot due to holding the shame of being discovered by the husband.
"Mas, there's something I want to talk about" said Rania, looking at her husband, who was walking to the wardrobe.
"What talk?" alvaro asked, linking his eyebrows together out of curiosity.
"Just wear clothes first, I will tell you later after Mas wears complete clothes," said the pregnant woman.
Alvaro obeyed his wife. He immediately put on his clothes in a bit of a hurry. I was very curious about what the wife was going to say.
After fully dressed, Alvaro put the towel back to its original place. Then sit on the side of the bed, right next to Rania.
"I'm done, now speak," said Alvaro who was impatient to hear the story of Rania.
Rania opened her nightstand drawer, then took out the brown envelope inside. Alvaro saw it immediately scrunched his forehead.
"What's that?" ask Alvaro.
Rania picked up a piece of the letter inside the envelope, and showed it to her husband first.
"Read on!" rania offered the letter to her husband.
Alvaro took the letter that was in his wife's hands. He opened the paper and read the contents of the paper.
His eyes to and fro looked at every word written on the paper. He folded the letter and looked at his wife.
"Did he give it to you?" ask Alvaro.
"No, Mas. He left it to Hilda because he didn't know our home address" Rania said.
"And this ... cash that he gave," continued Rania gave the envelope containing the money to Alvaro.
Alvaro sighed, I don't know if it felt hard to accept the money. Moreover, it is written in the letter that Dion has just opened a small business which means his income is not yet how much.
"He shouldn't have behaved like this. I told him not to return the money I gave him" muttered Alvaro peeking at the contents of the envelope.
"Why did you show me the letter?" ask Alvaro who was curious about the purpose of the wife.
"I just don't want you to misunderstand me, Mom. Maybe this is a trivial thing, but this small thing if we are not honest, it will be something big and damage our household," said Rania explained everything to her husband.
Alvaro smiled, he felt grateful because his wife was always honest and did not cover the slightest thing to him.
"Is Dion jealous sending all this?" ask Rania.
Alvaro shook his head, "I no longer feel jealous of him. Looking at the contents of the letter that prayed that we would always be a harmonious family, it made me understand that Dion has given you up completely" Alvaro gently rubbed the top of his wife's head.
"Thank God I don't feel jealous of Dion anymore. I wish, too, that was so. Tell me the slightest thing without having to cover it. Although it will be very painful, at least I can forgive Mas for being honest with me," said Rania looked at her husband with love.
"Nothing I'm covering for you, honey. Nor do I intend to hurt you with my words" Alvaro said.
"Yes, then get ready! We're down for dinner" said Rania.
Alvaro nodded, the two of them moved from their seats, came out of the room and stepped into the dining room.
