Chapter 8. Blind Dating
That night, Alvaro returned to the same place when he met the woman his mother chose yesterday. However, this time he met a different woman, consider it the second candidate from Arumi and also Bima.
Alvaro sits alone at one of the tables, while Bima sits at a separate table along with her grandmother who sees alvaro's interactions from a distance.
Bima had complained to his grandmother, that the papa did not talk much with the woman of his grandmother's choice yesterday, making Arumi intervened and watched the son directly.
"We'll see the second woman, will she still be as efficient as yesterday?" muttered Arumi while sipping the drinks he ordered.
When he set his eyes on the grandson in front of him, he was surprised because Bima suddenly moved his seat.
Arumi panicked, he circulated his gaze to look for his beloved grandson.
At the same time, Rania is waiting for the man chosen by her mother for a blind date. The woman seemed to have let out a rough sigh, for twenty minutes had passed the man had not come either.
"From waiting for an unknown person like this, it is better to wait for patients who come to the clinic, at least the wasted time is paid by the rupiah," the girl complained.
Soon, a five-year-old boy came to fill the empty bench in front of him.
Rania was stunned for a moment, long looking at the smiling little boy looking at her. "Is this little boy you're trying to get me?" rania blinked her eyes a few times. A silly thought flashed back then in his head.
Rania circulated her gaze, then looked back at the boy before her.
" What's your name?" rania asked carefully. The girl reviewed her smile as the man again threw a smile.
"I'm Bima," he said so innocently.
"Where is your mother?" ask Rania.
Bima shook her head.
"Your father?"
Bima pointed in any direction with her lips making Rania confused while circulating her gaze.
"Aunty, will aunty be my mama?" ask Bima.
The question of the five-year-old boy made Rania surprised. How not? He does not know whose child he is currently with, and suddenly the child asks Rania to be his mother.
Rania did not answer, suddenly came a man who walked towards her.The man developed his smile while looking at Rania.
"Is this really Rania?" ask the man.
"Yes right." Rania chimed in by nodding her head.
"I'm Edo, the man who arranged the meeting through your mother yesterday" the man introduced himself.
Rania nodded, then allowed the man who was her blind date to sit down.
Edo turned his gaze to Bima, then looked towards Rania.
"He who?" ask Edo.
"I'm not ...."
"Mama." Bima blinked her eyes while looking at Rania and called her mama.
Suddenly Rania's eyes immediately widened, surprised by what she had just heard.
"Oh, it turns out to be a single parent, I thought you were a single girl" the man said.
Rania immediately chuckled amusedly hearing the words of the man in front of her. "It seems like you're really the type who trusts others very easily" Rania said.
Rania's face suddenly changed. I don't know why the words of the man in front of him he thinks have been very outrageous.
"Yes, I'm a widow and I'm a self-styled doctor. And everything you said was true" said Rania who was upset, but as much as possible he kept his manners and behaved as he could.
A few moments later, a woman with gray hair walked towards him.
"Geez, my grandson, you've been anywhere since" Arumi said in a panic.
Arumi commented her smile to Rania, Rania also returned Arumi's smile while bowing her head slightly.
"I'm sorry about my granddaughter's attitude" Arumi said.
"It's okay, she's so cute and adorable. I like it" Arumi replied.
Bima who saw Arumi smiling towards him immediately hid her face behind the grandmother. It was not that the little man was afraid of Rania, but that he was ashamed to be praised by the woman.
Arumi glanced at the man who was next to Rania. "It's a shame, if she was a single woman, it's certain that I would match her up with Alvaro," Arumi's inner self.
"Then, we'll excuse you first" said Arumi, who was replied by a soft nod by Rania. Both of them passed from before Rania.
Edo, the man next to Rania slightly corrected the tie that seemed to strangle his neck. He was just wrong about the girl in front of him who he thought was a widow.
Edo was just about to open his mouth to speak, suddenly there was another person approaching Rania. The 10-year-old girl greeted Rania.
"Mother Doctor" said the girl.
"Dinda dear, you are here too" said Rania.
"Yes, the doctor, mom and dad are there" the boy said, pointing to his parents at the other end. The parents of the child waved their hands while smilingly staring at Rania.
"Does your tooth still hurt?" ask Rania.
"Not anymore. Thanks to the Doctor, I was able to eat without feeling any pain in my teeth" the little girl said.
"Lose the sweet foods first, and do not forget to brush your teeth before going to bed" said Rania.
"Okay, Doctor ma'am. Then excuse me, Doctor."
Rania nodded slowly, then the little girl left her and returned to her seat.
Edo was again stunned, he really felt bad for Rania because he had spoken inappropriate words. Rania is not a widow nor is she a fake doctor. Edo seemed to be slapped by the reality, making the man a little lost face.
"On that matter, ma ...."
Rania immediately stood up from her seat, until Edo's speech was immediately cut off. "I think I should go home because tomorrow I have to go back to work. Good night."
Without making small talk, Rania immediately breezed away leaving her blind date partner. "Basin' a shitty guy!" batin Rania grumbled annoyed while carrying her footsteps to leave the place.
Bima and Arumi saw Rania leaving the man with her alone.
"Did they fight?" ask Arumi.
"Maybe," chirped Bima.
"She's not bad, pretty and cute. A motherly aura was so fixed on her face," Arumi murmured.
The two turn to look at Rania from now on, without them realizing that the two forgot their original intention to watch Alvaro who was on a blind date as well.
