Duren Mateng's

Duren Mateng's
Chapter 6. New Neighbor

After finishing dinner with a chat that was so economical, because the one who always opened the chat was Fanny, while Alvaro only answered potluck. The three of them were currently in front of the restaurant, planning to head home.

"Thank you for the treat" said Fanny, smiling.

"Yes," timpal Alvaro briefed.

"Are you here by car?" ask Fanny.

"Of course." Alvaro again chimed in briefly, densely, and clearly.

"Oh, so. I came here by taxi because I didn't bring a car" Fanny smiled meaningfully. The woman bowed while slipping her hair behind her ears.

"Oh, then please wait for a taxi. Good night" said Alvaro, who took his son and passed from the woman's presence.

Fanny looked at Alvaro who got into the car. He gaped, looking at Alvaro as if in disbelief. Intentions told me that he used a taxi here for Alvaro to give him a ride.

But he was wrong. Even Alvaro did not offer the slightest or just mince words to Fanny.

The man was seen driving his car into the street, without honking a single horn. Fanny swears annoyed at Alvaro's car that drove into the streets.

"Damn it! If I knew that he didn't give me a ride, I'd better take the car with me." Fanny grumbled as she stomped her feet.

The woman scowled in annoyance, blocking the taxi that passed in front of her.

On the way, Alvaro glanced to the side. He saw that his little hero had fallen asleep in a position that seemed a little uncomfortable.

Alvaro pulled over his car for a moment, then lowered the seat occupied by Bima, so that his son was more comfortable while asleep even though he was on the way.

Alvaro commented on his smile, the careless behavior of his son that had occurred from yesterday - yesterday so clearly remembered by the handsome man.

"Are you really persistent to find a replacement for your mama, Boy." Alvaro whispered as he rubbed his son's hair affectionately. After a long time, the man returned to drive his car home.

Alvaro's beloved black man entered the parking area. The man got out of the car while carrying his son. Then I stepped into the elevator.

Shortly after, the elevator doors opened. Alvaro walked a few steps towards the door of his apartment. He glanced at the unit that was in front of him, it was empty and it seemed that today it was filled up.

"I have a new neighbor?" muttered Alvaro who momentarily then pressed the access code on his door and stepped into his dwelling.

Alvaro walked to his son's room, put his little hero on the bed slowly. With painstaking care, Alvaro took off the shoes worn by his handsome son, then enveloped his son's body, and kissed Bima's forehead.

"Good sleep, dear papa," whispered Alvaro who then walked away from his son's room and turned off the room lights that only left the lights to sleep.

As an independent child, the man chose to sleep in his own room instead of sleeping in Alvaro's room. And Alvaro also let his son set the choice, at least he trained his son not to rely too much on him, because indeed Alvaro is also sometimes busy taking care of the office.

Alvaro replaced his formal suit with his nightgown. The man stepped into the bathroom, brushed his teeth before going to bed and washed his face with face wash soap.

After everything was done, Alvaro came out of the bathroom, sat for a while at the desk in his room, checking some documents on the table. Then then, he chose to step foot into the mattress, lay down himself who felt tired in a place that was so comfortable.

....

The next day, Alvaro carried out his usual activities. The man had just finished baking bread and preparing a beef-eye egg on top of it, then had mayonnaise on it. An easy breakfast menu to fill their stomachs in the morning.

After preparing breakfast, Alvaro met his son in the room. Bima had just finished wearing her clothes. Alvaro smiled, then helped to comb his son's curls.

"You really look a lot like your mama, son. Your hair, your face, makes you think of your mama" Alvaro said.

Alvaro has chosen to take care of his own son. If he is busy, he will leave Bima to his grandmother, because Alvaro does not entrust to leave his son to others.

Not because the stingy do not want to hire a baby sitter, but when he often saw on the television news, that the rise of a nanny who tortured the child in foster care, making Alvaro a little hesitant to rent a baby sitter, and choose to leave it to Arumi alone. After all, Arumi also did not mind being cheered on by Bima, precisely the woman was very happy if her grandson was in her house.

Hearing his son's words earlier, Alvaro's heart was filled. Somehow, Bima can think like an adult at such a small age.

"You're too quick to mature, son. For the problem you mentioned earlier, papa can certainly overcome it. Don't worry about it," Alvaro put down the comb.

Bima was well dressed, Alvaro immediately took his son out, to the dining table to enjoy breakfast.

Just now they were in front of the dining table, before long the sound of the doorbell rang.

"Wait a minute, son."

Bima chimed her father with a slow nod. Alvaro got up from his seat, then walked over to the doorbell intercom monitor, watching the woman, who was about fifty years old, push the doorbell.

"Who is he?" muttered Alvaro scrunched his forehead.

The man walked to the door, opening the door for his guest.

"What's up, Mom?" ask Alvaro politely.

"Emmm .. I am the mother of the person who filled the unit in front," she said.

"Ah, yes. New neighbors," said Alvaro complete the speech of the woman in front of him.

"Yes, new neighbor." the woman smiled wryly.

"I want to give this to you as a sign of an introduction to represent my son" the middle-aged woman said, giving something she brought to Alvaro.

"Ah, yes. Thank you." Thank you." Alvaro also received the parcel.

"I'll excuse you then. Oh yes, if suppose I go back to the village, please look at my son yes. Afraid that someone will disturb" said the middle-aged woman while chuckling.

Alvaro smiled as he nodded his head. He closed the door again when the woman had reentered the next unit.

"Who's Papa?" ask Bima.

"New neighbors, give us this parcel" Alvaro said.

"What's it all about, Papa?" ask Bima who was curious.

Alvaro opened the box, and it contained brownies. Bima immediately sparkled to see the brownies which were his favorite food.

"Take it! There's cake," exclaimed Bima.

"Seat the breakfast first, son." Alvaro closed the brownies.

"Good, Papa."
