CH 13'S. Leave

Catalina frowned angrily at Joanna. The beautiful and graceful woman seemed to have paid no heed to her words. I don't understand the word reject.

"I don't need a job from you. I already have a job. You're the one who delayed me going there. Doctor Luigi must be wondering why I haven't arrived yet" Catalina said.

"I'll double your pay." Joanna looked up haughtily, there was nothing unmoved by the amount she offered. But he felt no loss. Catalina has to stay to help her babysit Leon.

"I don't need your money! I have the right to choose my own boss! I don't want to work for cold, arrogant people!" Catalina screeched as she glanced at Claude who had just closed her mouth.

Joanna looked down at Catalina. Holding back her sense of belonging because of Catalina's words. But he was never rejected .. well .. except by Vincent perhaps, so he will do all his effort again to persuade, this time he will suppress his ego. The new Joanna will open her mouth again when Claude's words stop her.

"I told you that. It's just free to persuade him. You have to use me." Claude said without lifting his head from the office worksheet he was holding.

Catalina squinted at Claude.

"How what? You wanna threaten me ? It won't work!" shout Catalina.

Vincent smiled obliquely, then gave the file that he had been holding in Claude's hand.

Joanna took a deep breath. "I've been trying to talk well. But you don't want to obey either. Now I have to follow their ways."

Catalina was silent and waiting as Claude opened the file and grinned. An uneasy feeling reached Catalina when she saw the evil smile on Claude's face.

"Would I read it?" Claude stood up leaving his chair. Stepping forward drew closer towards the sofa that Catalina and Yoana occupied.

"The statement from Marilyn that you had forced her to give her baby to a childless couple. You arranged for Marilyn to be unable to meet the person who would take her child. Pay some money and arrange the sale of the baby to the couple."

Catalina's wide-eyed.

"Completed with proof of transfer transaction and all financial evidence that will be strong evidence in court. Let's bet ... This baby's mother doesn't want it. Then the aunt who raised it wanted to sell it to the highest bidder. Rela spent the money to cover the mouth of the baby's biological mother. Then take care of the baby itself until the highest bidder comes ...."

Catalina gaped, Vincent almost looked up at the expression of the girl.

"We'll see who the court chooses to grant custody. A greedy aunt who wants to sell Leon, or her father's family who will really take care of him and meet whatever the baby needs is no exception!" Claude was greatly comforted to see Catalina's expression in shock.

"How, Cat? What did you choose? Stay here with Leon or choose to face us in court?"

This time Vincent actually smiled widely, whereas Yoana only raised her eyebrows when she heard claude calling Catalina by shortening her to Cat.

"You're crazy! I'm not selling Leon! That's just an excuse for Marilyn not to have an abortion! Your sister left! I told her to give birth to Leon and give him money to not kill the baby!" jerrit Catalina's.

"Stay .. I'll report you! Stay here and help Yoana. We're gonna pay you a lot more than the hospital you're going to, period! That's our offer, think well. You have no choice" Claude said.

Catalina looked at the three people in turn. He knew that with the money and power connections of the Bernard family he would lose and lose Leon. Catalina also did not expect Marilyn to betray him. Giving statements and even supporting the Bernard family to take Leon. But her brother would definitely not refuse if a sum of money was faced to him.

"I have a contract with Eliza hospital" Catalina said.

Catalina turned her head towards Joanna who snorted at the question.

The Seymor girls are materialistic, thought Joanna to be upset.

Somehow Claude felt very disappointed to hear the question coming out of Catalina's mouth.

"Whatever you ask!" said Yoana haughty.

Catalina smiled when she learned that she was left behind today and that her surveillance was not as strict as it used to be. He still did not answer Bernard's family's offer. But Catalina deliberately acted as if she was going to stay and actually helped Joanna to babysit Leon. Catalina just wanted Claude and the Bernard family to be a little off guard, he had his own plans.

"Come, Honey. We're going for a walk." Catalina kissed Leon's plump cheeks. He tore into Leon's tool bag and started to step towards the guard who raised an eyebrow after seeing him.

Leon whom he carried in front of his chest with his body facing forward laughed comically at the bodyguard. Making the flat face of the bodyguard change with a smile.

"Good uncle, can you take us to B Corp? Aunty Joanna was waiting for us there."

The guard frowned.

"Now Leon's immunization schedule. I'll go to the hospital with Joanna." Catalina gave the sweetest smile that was said to make people fascinated, Mother Rebecca who said so, and sure enough, the bodyguard nodded.

Must have been exposed to my magic, inner Catalina amused.

"alright. Wait right here. I'll take the car."

Catalina nodded happily. "okay, Uncle. Baby Leon will wait." said Catalina, shaking Leon's plump hand at the bodyguard.The bodyguard was not suspicious at all, because Catalina is often seen with Joanna and has been known as a babysitter Leoanard.

Catalina joked and played with Leon who responded to each joke with a laugh. The bodyguard who escorted them even laughed at Leon's screams and funny voice. It does not feel Catalina has arrived in front of B Corp building. He immediately went down and pulled the baby bag.

"Thank you for driving us, Uncle. We'll go in first looking for Aunty Yoan. Bye .. bye Uncle."

The bodyguard smiled at Catalina who stepped inside the building. After the figure of Catalina was not seen again he returned to driving the car, leaving the building courtyard.

Catalina peeked out of the lobby when the car that drove her was gone. He came back out and walked quickly to find a taxi.

After boarding a taxi and mentioning her destination, Catalina actually smiled broadly. He was finally able to leave Bernard's residence. Next Doctor Luigi would have helped him.

"We're going to meet Uncle Luigi again Leon. I hope he helps us."

Catalina looked out the window with great expectations. He wanted to work in the hospital and develop his knowledge, but he also did not want to part with Leonard.
