Chapter 48. The childhood of Rania

This is where Rania is in the army hospital bed. Despite rejecting Reyhan's invitation dozens of times to take him to this hospital, Rania still lost. However, he knows for sure what causes Reyhan to be so firm with him, when it comes to his injured self.

Yes, Rania remembers very well how Reyhan can be so possessive if he is in a situation like this.

Rania's memory hovers at the incident in the afternoon before her home years ago.

At that time, little Rania saw her brother, Reyhan had just returned from playing ball with his friends. Rania is also very happy to know Reyhan's arrival. Rania then approached Reyhan who was still kicking his ball into the yard of the house.

"Sister Rey," called Rania as she waved her hand.

Reyhan initially smiled as Rania welcomed his arrival. However, given how mom and dad treated them differently, the smile on Reyhan's face turned weird - the annoyed face.

He was annoyed at the little Rania who always obeyed his words than him. Yes, he knows whatever he wants to buy, must still be bought also by mama and papa. But, he seemed to not want to have another rival in such a thing. He just wants, only he is a man who can make mama, papa obey his wishes.

Upset with little Rania who had seized her wish and walked over while smiling at her, Reyhan had the intention to prank her sister.

"Sister," call Rania once more after she gets closer to Reyhan.

"Rania," Reyhan replied. "here." Waving his hand.

Rania happily approached Reyhan. Arriving near Rania, Reyhan began his plan to kill Rania.

"You can help brother, can't you?"

Little Rania nodded her head in pleasure. This time, Reyhan asked her for help. It would be very detrimental to her if she refused her brother's request for help.

"Please brother by returning this ball to the barn, will you?"

"Can, here give it to Rania." Rania extends her hand at Reyhan intending to receive the ball from Reyhan.

"Thank you."

Again Rania smiled which made her tooth that had been toothless look. Seeing that, Reyhan had a small laugh. However, he soon realized his original plan.

Rania receives Reyhan's ball and puts it into the warehouse behind the house. As he was just a quarter of the way, Reyhan suddenly exclaimed, "Rania, there's a lizard on the ball."

Of course Rania was shocked. He threw the ball in any direction and immediately ran away from there. When the rest of the little more he reached near Reyhan, unexpectedly, his feet clenched something to make him fall over saddled with small rocks in front of his house.

Reyhan had laughed seeing Rania so surprised. But, everything changed when Rania fell. Rania begins to cry loudly while saying things that make Reyhan aware of his ignorance to Rania which has been very outrageous.

"Aaa .. Reyhan's bad brother. Reyhan's brother is evil. Rania hates Reyhan's sister. Huaa .. mama, papa, Reyhan's brother is naughty."  Rania's shrieks were sounding bitter.

Really, Reyhan did not intend to make Rania put out such hurtful words for her to hear. He just wanted to justify it without making Rania hurt like this. He didn't even expect that Rania would fall.

Reyhan's breath was restrained. He immediately ran to help Rania stand up.

"Sister, sorry. Brother was not intentional."

"Aaa .. Rey lied. Rania hates Rey. Mama .. papa," he shouted as he continued to criticize. Even now his cries had changed with a hiccup.

Not long after, papa and mama ran over to Rania who was holding onto her knee that had been spitting out fresh blood.

"Oh my God," cried mama. "Why did it bleed like this?" ask mama.

"Mama, Rey's bad sister," she said. Rania was crying again.

Seeing the little Rania who had been hiccupping, papa immediately carried Rania to calm her down. Little Reyhan kept bowing. He was afraid to look into the eyes of mom and dad.

Mama holds Reyhan's hand and they all enter the house.

Papa who was still holding Rania immediately took her to his own room. Only after that, papa called his acquaintance's doctor to come check on Rania. Little Rania was still crying as the doctor of papa's acquaintance arrived. Even when examined, Rania was still crying. He was so afraid to see his bleeding knee plus the pain he felt.

"Your child is okay now. But in order for his knee to heal soon, you have to take good care of him. It can't be a walk first."

"Yes doc. I will remember it" said my mother.

"Well, here's a prescription drug that I recommend taking. You can find it at the nearest pharmacy." The doctor then prescribed Rania's medication to papa.

"Thank you for coming here, doc" said papa.

"Sama-sama sir. Then excuse me."

Papa took the doctor out. While Mama remained by Rania's side who had already fallen asleep to dreamland. Mama stroked Rania's hair as papa called out to her.

"Ma" call papa. Mama looked. "Can come with papa for a minute." Mama nodded.

Mama also moved from Rania's side and followed papa's steps out of the room. Not to forget also papa invited Reyhan to the family room to find out the beginning of the incident that made Rania cry.

Little Rania who woke up, then followed them with limping footsteps to endure the pain in her knees. Arriving Rania near the family room, Rania hides behind a wall to listen to the conversation of her mother and father who are asking for an explanation from Reyhan.

Rania clearly listened as Reyhan said, "sorry, this is all Reyhan's fault, ma, pa. Reyhan scared my sister until she fell. Reyhan only meant to scare her, but not to hurt her sister."

Rania listened to him without intending to reveal herself. He even still heard the word 'sorry' from Reyhan when he decided to return to his room. However, his steps came to a halt as he listened to mama say, "mama believe. Mama believes, you won't hurt sister. Because mama knows, you also love your sister, maybe even more than papa and mama."

Rania's upset. Mama trusted Reyhan more than seeing him in pain. Little Rania's annoyance became more and more when papa also participated in saying, "papa also believe in sister."

After hearing this, Rania went into her room and locked her up. There, Rania sleeps on her back to vent her feelings of regret.

A moment later, Rania heard the door of her room being knocked. However, he had no intention of opening it. Let it be, he's alone at the moment.

At night, seeing no sign that the door to Rania's room will open, papa took the spare key to go in to check on Rania's situation. After it opened, papa slowly approached the peaceful Rania in her sleep. The mother who had just entered shook her head.

"Just sleep, when it's dinner time."

"What's wrong. He might want more rest."

"But he hasn't taken his medication. When can it heal that way."

Not long after, Rania slowly opened her eyes slowly. He could see the mother with a tray of food in his hand, then turned to look at the father who was sitting near him.

"Darling, you're finally awake too."

Mama then approached Rania. "Eat first. Just took a drug."

Rania shook her head, she turned herself in the other direction.

"Dear to eat first. Let papa bribe, how?" persuade papa.

Rania, who was already starving, finally received the persuasion from the papa.

"Smart kid," said papa after Rania turned back on them.

Papa also improved the way Rania sat by leaning on the head of the bed and began to feed Rania food, then finally gave her medicine from a doctor's prescription.
