One Penny is a spooky story for kids about a rich man who refuses to put his money aside for charity.

That day in the middle of winter. The wind was blowing very cold and the pavement was covered with snow.
A man had just finished work and left his office. As he walked out of his office door, he saw a boy sitting on the side of the road.
He wore shorts that faded in color, a tattered shirt and shivered in the cold.
"Hi sir, please give me a penny!" yelled the boy.
"Leave me alone!" the man shouted, as he quickly got into his car and left.
The man has carved out a successful career for himself in the financial industry. He had a lot of money in the bank and a big house.
However, he never gave a penny to the poor. When people asked him why he did not do charity, he simply replied that he worked all this time not to give his money to lazy people.
That night, when he came home from work, the man walked into the street in front of his house and was shocked to see the boy standing at the front door of his house.
"Hi sir, please give me a penny!" said the boy.
Without a second thought the man violently pushed the child aside, and went straight into his house. Then he sat in the living room and turned on the television.
His wife came in carrying a tray and placed her dinner in front of him. As he ate, he happened to look out the window and saw the boy standing there, clutching himself and trying to stay warm in the cold.
The man became irritated, then got up and closed the curtain.
The next morning, when he left for work, the boy was still there.
"Hi sir, please give me a penny!" said the boy.
He was upset and ignored her and got into his car. His wheel spun in the snow, and rained down on the child with ice, while driving away. That afternoon, when he returned, the boy was waiting for him. The man was fed up and went deep in his pocket. He took out the abuse and threw it angrily at the child.
"Take that fucking change!" his yell. "Now go out of my sight"
The boy took the money and left without saying anything.
After work, the man walked out of his office, hoping to see the boy, but nothing. He went home, and hoped to meet the boy waiting for him at home, but nothing.
He walked into his house, kissed his wife, ate his dinner and watched shows on television. It seems that the boy has left him alone.
In the middle of the night, the man lay on his bed with his wife when he felt a small, cold hand touch his shoulder. He heard a voice whispering in his ear, "Hi master, please give me a penny!"
The man screamed in terror and jumped out of his bed, but when he turned on his room light there was no one else in the room. His wife calmed him down and said he must have been dreaming. He lay back down, but spent the night anxious and unable to sleep.
There was a little boy that he bullied every day. The boy's parents were very poor and could not afford to buy him new clothes. He remembered how he often mocked the poor boy. Sometimes he beat her up and stole her pocket money.
The man's memory is still blurred. Approaching the morning, she climbs into the attic and pulls out her school yearbook. Opening sheet by page he finds a photo of the boy he bullied mercilessly. The yearbook fell out of his hands. It was the same kid as yesterday.
Gradually his memory began to clear up. He recalled the day he and three friends dragged the poor boy to the river. After beating him, he threw the poor boy into the water of the river half-freezing and left without a second thought.
The next day, the poor boy did not enter the classroom. He and his friends thought the boy's parents had moved him to another school.
That guy can't sleep every night. At breakfast, he ate nothing. He really lost his appetite. He slowly opened his front door and saw the boy outside waiting for him. The man could barely breathe.
It was as if the boy's eyes were piercing sharply into his soul. He fell to his knees and begged the boy to forgive him.
"What do you want from me?" she cried. "That was years ago...When we were kids...I'm not the only one involved...It wasn't my fault"
The boy just stood up and looked at her. The man took a roll of money from his pocket and thrust it into the boy.
"Here, take it" he said. "That's all the money I've got in my wallet."
The boy took the money from the man's trembling hands and disappeared without saying anything.
That afternoon, the man went home and ate his dinner. His food returned and felt better. His consciousness has improved. At night, he wakes up and feels thirsty and he goes through the stairs to grab a drink.
Then he stopped at the kitchen door. Under the moonlight he could see a small figure hiding in the darkness.
There's a whisper, "Give me a penny."
The man was terrified and ran out of his house and into his car. He went to the nearest bank and waited until it opened. Then he took all the money he had. He sold his house with all his furniture.
He sold his car, his television and even his wife's jewelry. He put all his money in a bag. Even penny.
That day, as he walked, the boy stepped out of the alley and stood in front of him.
"Hi sir, please give me a penny!" said the boy.
Tired of the man putting his money bag at the boy's feet.
"This is all my money I have" the man said. "Get it and leave me alone."
The boy picked up his bag and disappeared without saying anything.
The next night, the man lay by the roadside, struggling to stay warm. He was wearing a pair of old pants and a tattered shirt. Looking around, he picked up a dirty blanket, and desperately tried to fall asleep.
Suddenly, he heard soft footsteps coming out from the darkness. He went out and stopped next to the man. Slowly the man looked up. He saw the boy standing next to him.
"What do you want?" yelled the man. "I gave it my all! All of them! There is nothing left for me to give! That's all I've given you!"
The ghost of the little boy smiled and said. " No, sir, not all!"
He stretched out his hand, tore the man's chest and took the man's heart.
