Creepypasta tells the story of an operator who gets a strange phone. As soon as he realized the meaning of the phone, he became very frightened.

I hate my job!
I'm usually quiet. Ironically, I work as a call center operator. Well it's sad. Sometimes this job can be hard. Imagine talking to hundreds of people every day, yet still feeling lonely. I have no real interaction with anyone other than over the phone. I just stared at the screen and talked to people who wanted to order clothes from our catalog and did not know how to order online through the internet. Well, guess what, most of them are seniors. I mean, really old. Most of them are good. But still there are grumblers there and here, but fortunately this job does not stress me at all. It's just that I'm not the type to talk and many callers like to talk about their grandkids2 rather than order something. The reason I'm saying this is because yesterday I got a phone I'll never forget.
The incident started as usual.
“Thank you for contacting Dartmouth Clothing. My name is Benjamin. What can I help you with?”
I've said that kaliamt a thousand times to feel like a reflex to me. I was even afraid that I would answer like that if a brother or friend called me.
“Halo?”
His voice sounds old-fashioned. Okay. This is gonna be one of those phones where the microphone is right in my mouth and I still have to scream.
“Yes, Mom? This is Benjamin from Dartmouth Clothing. What do I help?”
“Oh, haloooo young man!” he said with a strange cheerful tone.
“Halo, do you want to order something?”
“O yes, I want something from you ..”
I don't know if the phone's broken2 or what, because it sounds broken2.
“Good, do you have customer number?”
He mentioned the number and typed it on top of the keyboard. All the captions about it appeared on the screen in less than a second.
“Alright, so I'm talking to ... Eileen?”
“Yes, be-nar ..”
“Your address is at 112 Hickory Avenue in Parkersburg?”
Ah, this disturbance again, I thought. Where did this woman call?”
“Okay ma'am, whenever you're ready you can ..”
I did not notice it before, but at the top of our customer profile page there is a column stating the latest status of our clients, whether “debt”, “inactive”, or even “blacklist”. But there is only one word.
THE DECEASED
I froze. What the fuck? I can't think about what's going on.
“Are you there, son?”
He coughed. Or the sound I thought was a cough. His voice was more like a dry thump.
“Uh, yes Bu ... I am still here ..”
I lost my calm. This bnar2 gives me goosebumps. It's still there, on my screen.
THE DECEASED
Given this incident, I feel like I should as soon as possible pick up the phone. But I didn't. And I have to risk being damned.
There was a moment of silence for a moment and then, out of nowhere, the tone of the woman's voice rose sharply. There was laughter. A dry laugh.
“A-I want something from-you ..”
Then I heard a sound, “Tik tik .. tik tik ..”
I seem to know that voice, but I can't remember what it was.
I can't take it anymore. I finally disconnected the phone and removed my headset. I couldn't sleep well at that time. I decided to turn on the room lights all night. But I'm right2 can't get that experience out of my head.
At dawn, I finally remembered what the voice was.
Voice “Tik .. tik ..” I heard on the phone.
Try opening your mouth and knocking your teeth2 together.
