"Mbok, where's my wife?" benny asked after looking for Fina's whereabouts but had not met.
Benny and Elza arrived home at exactly ten in the morning. The warm welcome they usually get after entering the family room is no longer felt because the queen is not on her throne. Of course this makes Benny surprised, considering Fina did not give any news if he was leaving.
"Mother's on the back porch, sir. Peeling the onion," replied Jumiatin while leaning a mop stick on the wall.
"Red cross?" Benny scrunched his forehead as it was not usual for Fina to do this.
"Yes, Sir. Just after Ani ma'am came home from here, Fina's mother told me to buy onions and garlic, she said she again craved to peel onions," explained Jumiatin without anything covered.
Benny was even more astonished after hearing the explanation. He did not immediately go to the back because there was still a workshop person waiting for him outside the house. The white Xpander is in need of service, "all right then. Thank you, Mbok," Benny said before leaving his domestic assistant.
Meanwhile in the back, some old tissue scattered on the floor on the side of Fina. I don't know how many sheets of tissue have been used to wipe the tears that never stop dripping from the eye fertilizers. The two-bodied woman unceasingly peeled the onion even though her eyeball turned red from feeling sore.
"You should be able to give peace to Benny so as not to be emotional to Dita,"
"Benny is stubborn. You should be able to soften her heart out of pity for Dita,"
"If you are authorized to manage finances, please do not change anything that has become a habit. I'm sad to see Benny and Dita fighting like this,"
"Please persuade Benny not to behave like this to Dita. Only you can make Benny melt,"
Tears endlessly flowed from the eye patch to the smooth cheeks it was getting wetter. This morning she seemed to get a surprise from her in-laws to not know how to react. Of course the brother and sister's problem is not his business, considering he himself does not know if there is a cold war between them.
"Why am I being dragged away by my mother in this matter? As if everything that happened was my fault. Is it in mom's mind that I'm the financial controller in this house? Even how much money was in Benny's wallet I don't know." Fina grumbled in her heart with her hands endlessly peeling the onion.
The two-bodied woman took another piece of tissue to wipe away her tears. Unconsciously, since then there was someone who noticed him. Yes, he is Benny. The former widower was standing behind his wife's body.
"What's the matter so you're crying yourself out here?" Finally Benny let out a voice out of curiosity.
Astounded. That was how Fina felt at this moment. He did not immediately turn around because he had not prepared the right answer to hide this problem, "I did not cry, Mas. My eyes hurt because I was peeling onions," explained Fina without daring to turn her body.
The two-bodied woman grew even more excited when she heard Benny's footsteps getting closer to her. He had to change his facial expression quickly so that Benny would not be suspicious.
"Look at me for a moment" Benny said after sitting in front of Fina. He stared fixedly at the figure who was peeling the onion.
"What the hell is it, Mas?" Fina tried to act spoiled in front of Benny so that there would be no more questions.
"What's wrong?" benny asked with a serious face.
"There's nothing, Mom!" sergeant Fina, "I suddenly want to peel an onion. The utun who asked to peel the onions," explained Fina with a forced smile.
"Don't lie! Say it! What's the matter with mom coming home?" insist Benny without a smile or loving gaze as usual.
"There's nothing, Mom!" fina replied with a trembling voice. Not long after that a sobbing was heard there.
Benny let out a rough breath after seeing Fina's sobs. He regretted what he had just said. She thought that Fina was crying out of fear of seeing her attitude. However, there were still other thoughts in his head, if peeling an onion was an excuse his wife used to hide something.
"Honey, crying because it feels painful due to peeling onions by crying because there is a problem that is clearly different. You can't lie because I know that your cry this time is a cry of sadness. Now it is better to have activities that can hurt your eyes. Wash your hands immediately and after that let's talk," said Benny after adjusting his breath to be ordinary.
"Say by peeling an onion can hide tears of sadness. But in reality, I knew I was sad again. There's no point in that I'm withstanding the heat and pain in my eyes!" fina grumbled as she slapped the knife on the floor.
As powerful as Benny had to hold back the laughter because in his eyes, Fina looked cute and adorable. How could he have this crazy idea for the sake of covering up his sobs. Onions and garlic that are in the crackle until almost exhausted.
"Keep the bring-up what's it gonna do? Did it peel that much, too?" benny asked while pointing at the basin containing the onion and the peeled garlic.
"I don't know, Mom." Fina shook her head several times with sobs that never subsided. He was stunned because he did not know how to deal with all these problems.
Benny stood up from his place and passed by leaving Fina on the porch of the back house alone. Shortly after that he returned again with Jumiatin trailing behind him.
"Mbok, please take care of all these onions. It's up to you to do it," Benny asked his house assistant.
"Good, Sir. I will arrange it later. Do I need to make milk for Miss Fina?" jumiatin asked as she looked at her master.
"No need, Mbok," Benny refused with a faint smile.
The handsome man bowed and afterwards helped Fina get up from her place. He brought Fina into the house and did not forget before taking his wife to the room, he stopped by the kitchen so that Fina cleaned her hands first. Of course the distinctive smell of red onions is so pungent in the sense of smell.
"Let's go to the room. We'll solve the problem that made you cry like this" Benny asked after waiting long enough for Fina to clean her hands.
Benny walked hand in hand with Fina through the living room. There was Elza watching television. The little boy turned his eyes towards his parents. More precisely towards my mother. He stared in surprise as Fina continued to bow.
"Go to the room first. I'll talk to Elza" whispered Benny before Fina continued her steps.
Benny walked over to where Elza was right now. He sat down by his son's side with a heavy sigh. She had to string the right words together before explaining the circumstances Fina was going through, because she did not want her son to know that Fina was crying.
"Elza play alone first. Papa wants to keep Mama in the room for a while. Mama is sad because she misses Papa. We just left for a minute, El?" obviously Benny while rubbing his son's thin hair. Laughter was heard in the family room after Benny and Elza had thrown a joke.
