The Cry of a Mother

Moments and seconds of grief have passed by the extended family of Fina and Benny. All the families were feeling tightness in the chest when they saw two people who were lying weakly on a hospital bed. The couple asked each other about each other's condition until shortly after there was a hospital attendant who entered the room. The officer delivered breakfast to both patients in the room.

"You have to have breakfast. Anyway, you have to eat a lot to get well soon," said Ani when preparing breakfast for the child and her daughter-in-law assisted with Badiah. Both mothers eventually helped their children.

"I want to carry it, Mom." Fina extended her hand to receive the baby in her mother-in-law's arms.

Without saying much, Ani gave the baby to Fina. The middle-aged woman's face looked reddened as she was holding back a rumbling feeling in the chest.

"Mama's daughter is handsome once," Fina murmured as she touched the delicate cheek.

While Benny only developed a thin smile when he saw the look of his wife's happy face. However, all my sweet smile was gone when Benny looked at his mother's facial expression. Of course he knew that the mother who had given birth to him was covering up something bad. Benny felt weak when he guessed something unwanted.
