The sound of birds chirping and the sound of chickens crowing together unpretentious when welcoming the morning. Warm rays of the sun began to be present at the eastern end. The breeze of the morning wind adds to the atmosphere in the village where Fina lived all this time. All activities have already begun.
At exactly seven in the morning, Badiah arrived home after making a living at the market. The middle-aged woman deliberately went home quickly because at home there was her eldest daughter, Fina. He was surprised to see Fina coming home suddenly with a gloomy face, like she was holding a heavy burden in life. Since last night, Badiah was waiting for Fina to tell him, but Fina chose silence. The mother of two was only worried about seeing her daughter's attitude.
"Well, still sleeping turned out," muttered Badiah after opening Fina's room door.
The middle-aged woman closed the door again. Then he went to the kitchen to cook and do other activities. The condition of the house feels lonely because at hours like this, Nisa has also left for college.
Ma'am. Earlier, Mbak Fina finished praying at dawn to sleep again. So, Nisa had her own breakfast. Fina's mom is hard to build.
Badiah took a deep breath after reading the letter Nisa left on the refrigerator. After that, he continued his work in the kitchen. Cook for lunch with her two children later, considering for breakfast Fina, there is already food prepared.
"Mom" said Fina after sitting on the chair in the kitchen. He sat down opposite his mother who was cleaning vegetables.
"Wash your face first! That virgin's like that!" badiah said while looking at his daughter who looked faint.
Without much protest, Fina immediately moved from her place. He walked towards the bathroom and after a few minutes he got out of there. Without cleaning his face with a towel, he returned to his original place. Sitting in front of his mother.
"Why are you, Nduk? Is it still morning when it's just moody?" asked Badiah while looking at his daughter at a glance.
"What time, Mom? Just a casual feeling," Fina replied as she brushed the long hair that was left unraveled, "Where is Nisa, Mom? Tumben deserted?" tanyanya after not finding the nose of her sister.
"Have left for college" replied Badiah without looking at Fina. He was still busy peeling the eggplant before it was cut into pieces, "Fin, what's up?" badiah asked as he stared at his daughter intensely.
Only a heavy sigh could be heard from the girl in response to her mother's question. He still arranges the right words to convey to the mother who had raised him so far. Of course Badiah knew that his daughter was in trouble.
"Just tell me, Fin. Don't think for yourself" said Badiah without looking at his daughter.
"Fina again is a problem, ma'am. Not a big deal anyway. But this is a problem ... emm ...." Fina stopped her confession.
"Heart problems?" Badiah looked at his daughter with a sweet smile, "whose heart are you guarding?" ask Badiah.
"It's a complicated matter, ma'am. Very complicated!" Fina massaged the base of her nose after uttering her heartbreak.
"Yes, just tell me. If buried alone, it will not be possible to get a solution," said Badiah before moving from his place. He walked towards the dishwasher to clean the freshly peeled vegetables.
"Fina is confused, Mom. There are two men who are close to Fina and there must be one of them that Fina must choose," said Fina with a heavy sigh.
"Who are they?" fishing rod with washing vegetables. In fact, he could already guess who the man his daughter meant.
"Pak Ben and Kang Aris, ma'am," Fina replied in a soft voice.
"Then?" Badiah turned around and walked to where Fina was at the moment. He sat in front of his daughter to listen to the grievance of a grown-up girl.
"Whose do you like? It is impossible if they have the same value from your point of view," said Badiah.
In the end, Fina told me all about the two men who have been making her feel so bad lately. Elza's condition did not escape from the discussion this morning. While Badiah tried to look through the look of the eye to find out what was being felt by his daughter.
"You actually like it, don't you, Mr Benny?" cut Badiah when Fina told him about the handsome widower of one boy.
Fina was stuck after hearing the question. He moved his eyeballs left and right to look for the right answer to the question.
"No! Fina doesn't like Mr. Benny, Mom!" reject Fina without daring to look at her mother, "There's no way Fina likes widower son one, Mom. It can't be!" kilah Fina while looking the other way.
"Oh so you try to deny the feeling because of his status. There is no problem like the widower. Yeah ... moreover you already love her son." Badiah commented on his smile when he saw the change in his daughter's facial expression.
"Love does not look at status. The man we like has no wife. Although the economic status is far different, but how else .. both of them love each other really." Badiah tried to give her advice, "follow your heart, Fin. Don't follow reason too much because sometimes our intellect isn't always right." Badiah grabbed his daughter's hand and held it tightly.
"But Fina was confused, Mom. They are both serious to Fina" said Fina with her head bowed.
"Yes, it's like this. If you are confused let the mother decide. I want to know which of the two men is serious about you." Badiah made his decision.
"Whoever comes first to see Mom today, he will be your husband. Let's prove together, who's your soul mate. Anybody who comes first to see Mom, she's the one you chose to be your husband." Bradiah gave an ultimatum firmly.
Fina immediately moved from her place after hearing her mother's interduction. He went into the room to activate his cell phone, because since yesterday he had no intention of being contacted by the two men confused it.
Fina was pensively pensive in her room while thinking about the answer from Badiah. Perhaps, this time he had to follow the advice of his mother so as not to regret it later on. Notification of the message continues to enter on his phone, it turns out all the messages were from Benny. Fina skimmed the incoming message and after that she started typing the message to be sent to Aris and Benny.
"What message should I send?" muttered Fina while staring at her phone.
He decided to contact the two men to make sure they read the message from him. It's not fair if only one reads the message. Calls from Aris and Benny took turns to enter, but were not received by Fina. He immediately typed in a message for the two men as their second status went online.
I sent this message to Kang Aris and Mr. Benny on broadcast. I've made my choice with a cold head. Whoever comes today first to see my mother, she is the one I choose. I wait at Mojokerto's house.
