Idol Nanny
Opening the Hidden Reality

"Maybe it's time for Elza to know all about Nurma" Benny murmured as he pulled the drawer inside the cupboard.

The rain came uninvited. The clear sky instantly turned dark even though the dhuhur adhan had just reverberated. This is a good time to lock yourself in a room. Rest and of course lay down on the soft king size bed.

Benny took two photo albums stored in his closet drawer. Two albums that have been neatly stored there because there are so many good memories with figures that can no longer be reached.

"What game is Elza playing?" benny asked after approaching Elza who was engrossed with her iPad. The widower sat on the edge of the bed after putting two photo albums on the nightstand.

"I'm looking at a silat video, Pa," Elza replied without taking her eyes off the iPad screen above her lap.

Benny climbed onto the bed, then he sat leaning on the headboard of the bed with his legs crossed. She was stringing words to start talking about Nurma, "El, her iPad was put first. Here, sit with Papa," Benny said after widening his legs.

"What's up, Pa?" Elza turned to look at Benny.

"Papa wanted to show Elza something" Benny said with a faint smile.

After putting down her iPad, Elza moved to sit in front of Benny as instructed. The little boy just kept quiet while waiting for Benny to start the conversation.

"Papa wanted to show Elza a photo" Benny said after taking a white photo album.

The picture of the little baby on his stomach is the first photo Benny showed Elza. He explained if the photo was of him in the past. Of course Elza is very enthusiastic because the first time to see the photo. The laughter of the little boy was heard there.

"Pa, who is this? Why is this guy holding me, Pa?" point to Elza on the second album sheet, where there is a photo of a beautiful woman smiling happily.

Benny didn't answer that question immediately. He let Elza see all the photos stored on the album. Three times the little boy asked about the beautiful woman on the album.

"Pa, why did he kiss Papa?" elza asked when she saw the portrait where Nurma was kissing Benny's cheek, while little Elza was in Benny's arms. The photo was taken when Elza was ten months old, before Nurma left them both.

Benny breathed heavily upon hearing the question. He gave a loving kiss on the son's head before answering the question that made his chest feel claustrophobic. Of course all the memories of Nurmala began to gather into one. The figure of a beautiful nurse who managed to make him fall in love and stop being a metropolitan playboy.

"This woman is named Nurmala. She is Elza's mother" Benny said, making Elza turn her head, "Elza can call her Nurma's mama" Benny continued with a faint smile.

The little boy remained silent after hearing his father's explanation. Maybe the five-year-old boy was digesting and understanding what Benny was saying.

"So I still have a mom? But where's my mama, Pa? Why isn't there in this house? Why won't Mama meet me? Why did Mama tell Mbak Fina to take care of me, accompany me to sleep and take me to school. Why won't you hug me?" cecar Elza while looking at Benny fixedly.

Benny seemed to lose his energy after hearing all those questions. Yes, this is one of the reasons that became the basis, why he hid the fact about the figure who gave birth to his son into this world. As powerful as the handsome widower was holding a puddle of tears so as not to fall wet the cheeks. He could not bear to see the curious gaze from the look in his son's eyes.

"Did Elza know who was usually buried at the cemetery?" benny asked as he rubbed Elza's head in a gentle gesture.

"Know, Pa. People die, right?" elza answered quickly.

"Why then can people die?" ask Benny again. He wondered how far his son knew about all this.

"Because it's time, Pa. They are called God because it is time to return" Elza replied.

"Can they go back to their house?" Benny still asked questions about it.

"Oh Papa this is how the hell! Yes, not, Pa. They can't go back, they're buried. They are with God in heaven" said Elza.

"Just like those who can't go back, Mama Elza did. Mama's been dead since Elza was a kid. Mama must return to God, for the time has come." Benny finally explained all this to his son.

"Why did Mama go alone? Why did Mom leave me and Papa?" Of course Elza was not silent after hearing that explanation.

"Because God only calls Mama, son. Mama used to be very sick, every day Mama cried in pain until finally God called mama to heaven so as not to feel pain anymore." Benny tried to give his son some understanding.

Elza was pensive after hearing her father's explanation. It seemed like he was digesting the reality he had just known. The little boy's gaze turned to the picture of his late mother. She stared fixedly at the pretty face with that sweet smile. Then, his hands began to touch the face printed into that image.

"I love my mom. I wasn't angry even though my mom never took me to school and never slept with me. Does your mom love me too?" Elza monologues while looking at a photo of Nurmala.

Without being able to be held back, the tears of the widower of one child flowed profusely to wet his cheeks. The statement that had just been uttered by his son managed to melt his heart. The sense of loss and sadness is again present in Benny. It seemed that he could not afford to discuss Nurmala any further. Benny hastily wiped away his tears to keep Elza from knowing all that. He must look strong in front of his son.

"Will Elza come if Papa goes to Mama's grave?" ask Benny after he can control himself.

"Of course, Pa. I want to come because I want to pray for Mama. Fina said if she could teach then the person who died would be happy. Mama will be happy yes, Pa, if you know Elza can already memorize some letters of the Qur'an," said Elza enthusiastically.

Benny could only smile widely and nodded his head as he could no longer make a sound. The conversation between father and son continued for several tens of minutes. They both open both photo albums that have been prepared by Benny.

"Would Elza not have a new mom?" ask Benny as soon as there is a chance to discuss this.
