The dark sky had turned bright after passing through the intersection of time. The sun is again present on the horizon bringing warmth to all beings. The radiance managed to make some people welcome the morning with enthusiasm. Moreover, it is currently a national holiday because there is a red date commemorating a big day in the non-Muslim religion.
"Why am I so nervous? If you'll throw Ardi out how?" murmured Nisa while washing dishes in the kitchen. Negative thoughts have haunted her ever since she knew that Ardi would come to this house.
"She, go to the store first. Don't forget to close the back door if you stay ahead" said Badiah before leaving his daughter alone there.
"Yes, ma'am," Nisa replied without looking back. He was still busy cleaning the dirty dishes until they were all back on the plate rack.
The beautiful girl sat in the dining room after she finished cleaning the kitchen and closed the connecting door to the back garden. Nisa looks restless because she does not know what to do when Ardi gets to this house. He was really confused because there had never been a man who had come to the house even if it was just a friend on campus. Moreover, the one who came this time was Ardi, a young man who was disliked by his mother just because of the profession he was in at the moment.
"I'd better wait inside. Let me welcome her." An idea popped into his head to make everything look sudden and unplanned.
Nisa chose to occupy herself there even though there were no activities that were important in her opinion. He pretended to be busy arranging the dining table and food in the refrigerator until Ardi arrived at this house later.
"Miss ... This is! There's guests!" yelled Badiah from the living room.
Nisa stopped her activities for a moment. So, he returned all the food to its original place and did not forget to close the refrigerator door before going to the front. His heart beats irregularly because he is nervous. He gave a code to Badiah if he wanted to wear a veil first.
"Please sit. Nisa is still inside" said Badiah while pointing at the sofa in the living room. He had not realized that the young man who had just sat on the sofa was Johan.
"Mom" said Johan after Badiah sat in the single seat, "remember me, Mom?" asked Johan with a faint smile.
"You ... you ...." Badiah tried to remember the familiar face.
"Johan, Ma'am," muttered the dashing young man.
The expression on Badiah's face immediately turned into nonsense. For quite a long time he observed the face of the young man who had feelings for his daughter. There was a sense of relief in his heart when he saw the young man in a fine state.
"How are you?" ask Badiah without taking his eyes off Ardi's face.
"Alhamdulillah is still safe, ma'am," replied Ardi with a very calm attitude.
"Thank God then." Badiah breathed a sigh of relief after hearing Ardi's reply.
"Mom, I deliberately came from Jakarta to meet Mom. I would like to express my serious intention to question Nisa. I love him very much, Mom," Ardi said firmly.
"Mom can't answer now. Let Nisa graduate college first. I'm not ready if she's married to you who has a lot of risks in your work" replied Badiah seriously.
"But I'm not on the field anymore, ma'am. I had a heavy injury," Obviously the dashing young man.
"Mom would rather you be a commoner" said Badiah in a very soft voice.
Ardi began to win the heart of Badiah with a soft and reassuring speech. But the middle-aged woman was not affected by all the explanations spoken by the gallant young man. He was still adamant about the initial decision.
"Son, you don't have to explain a lot about the world you're in right now. Mother has felt it first and according to Mother is more comfortable being an ordinary person," explained Badiah.
"Don't force Mom too much. For now if you really want to communicate with Nisa, please. But if you want to get married, I'm sorry you haven't been able to give your blessing. I want Nisa to graduate from college first," said Badiah firmly.
"Please talk to Nisa. I want to go to the store first," concluded Badiah when Nisa came out of the family room with a tray containing two cups of warm chocolate.
Nisa stared at her mother's departure with disappointed eyes. She no longer knew how to persuade her mother to approve of this relationship. Heavy breathing sounds there. Nisa is really depressed because of the blessing problem from Badiah.
"Sit down first, there is no need to worry so," said Ardi as he pulled Nisa's hand until the hijab girl slammed on his side.
"You heard for yourself, didn't you hear how stubborn my mother is?" muttered Nisa while leaning her body on the sofa.
"Your mother is just worried. Don't think too much. We can definitely get through all of this" Ardi said as he reached for Nisa's hand. The two palms intertwined to strengthen each other.
Nisa develops a faint smile after Ardi strengthens her heart to remain confident in this relationship. Nisa feels calm because Ardi is not stopping to give words of encouragement for her to live this relationship without blessing.
"Don't be discouraged because no matter what happens I still love you," Ardi said while staring at Nisa meaningfully.
"Try saying it again!" muttered Nisa while looking to the side. The two stared at each other for a moment. Strange vibrations arise within her as Nisa observes the black bead of the man she loves.
"I love you, Khairunnisa. Be my woman at all times. I know maybe after this our relationship feels heavy because of the distance apart. However, I want us to trust each other and keep these feelings for each other. I don't know if you love me or not, but I hope you have the same feelings as me."
Finally the expression of feelings from Ardi who wanted to be heard by Nisa since yesterday had been heard there. The face of the beautiful girl met red and her nose became a flower because of the taste that erupted in the chest. He was moved and relieved to hear the expression of feelings from the man who was very close to him.
"I hope you don't give me false hope. Hopefully you can keep your heart from the temptations of sexy girls that you often meet in the city," replied Nisa without daring to look at Ardi. He was bowed because he could not stand the meaningful gaze that emanated from the eyes of the man who had been legally his lover.
I don't know where that courage came from. Ardi suddenly straightened Nisa's chin with his index finger. Seconds later, the distance between the two lovebirds eroded away until the two lips touched each other. Instead of refusing, Nisa closed her eyes because of the atmosphere and romantic moments that she had never felt before. Ardi managed to feel how sweet the thin lips of the woman he had admired all this time.
Is not it true, if two people of different sex are alone, then the third person is a demon. Yes ... the two lovebirds forget if they are at home, where Giftia can anytime see what they are doing at this time.
"Enough!" Nisa distanced her face after realizing what she had done at the moment.
"I'm sorry, sorry .. I was really carried away" Ardi said with eyes full of regret for doing something that had never been expected before. He rubbed Nisa's wet lips with his thumb.
Nisa looks misbehaved and feels ashamed for everything that has happened between the two of them. He again sat leaning back on the sofa and distanced himself with Ardi so as not to happen for the second time.
"You've already taken my first kiss. I hope that you are truly responsible for marrying me," Nisa muttered in a soft voice. He felt guilty for everything that happened a few minutes ago.
