20. Two Lacing

"It's your Edo girlfriend, right?" Edward asked in a panic.

Kalula nodded weakly.

"Sit down first. Sit here first, Kal," said Edward who immediately grabbed Kalula's shoulder and sat him in a long waiting chair near the employee change area.

Kalula looked at Edward with a questioning look. His tired face looked even more pitiful.

Actually Edward could not bear to do this, but his ego as a man who never gave up to win Kalula more dominant. His ego won again.

"I have a cousin who moved to Tokyo a few years ago because his mom divorced and he was in college there. Name's Seira. I think he's on campus with Edo.

We are very familiar and often teased because we are both single. And he kept sending me this photo. He said he's the same guy again. He even said he shot him. It's really Edo's your girlfriend isn't it, anyway?" said Edward.

Kalula. He then covered his entire face with his palm.

"Seriously he said that, Ed?" asked Kalula again with a probing look.

"Yes, you can see the chat," said Edward who then gave his phone to kalula.

Indeed, anyway. Seira real chat so. Kalula also feels like believing does not believe but this evidence is very real.

Kalula returned the phone to Edward and looked at Edward again in confusion.

"Maybe your cousin lied?" he said in a hoarse voice but sounded almost crying.

Kalula again could only nod in confidence. Then that night they went home across the beautiful downtown streets by the glittering tall skyscrapers.

The weather's pretty sunny. They should be able to chat while eating meatballs Kalula subscription. But once Edward suggested the idea, Kalula refused outright. He said he just wanted to quickly go home to Edward's apartment and call Edo.

"It's not midnight yet, if we're going home. I want to call Edo immediately, ", Kalula said. Edward also agreed.

Edward and Kalula sat in the middle room of the apartment. The big screen television is dead. They've had a shower and are neat. Then Kalula was ready with a cell phone in his hand.

The waiting tone was heard.

Kalula had set up his phone with a loud speaker so that Edward could hear. Actually Edward asked for it and Kalula did it without suspicion.

"Hello, Kal. I have a duty deadline, no. What's up, huh? Sorry yes, this afternoon I did not much ngabarin because of the tight schedule on campus."

Edo spoke at length as if evading. Though Kalula said 'hello' not yet.

"Oh, okay. Yes already. We'll call tomorrow. Mmm, are you really doing the job again? In the room or where, Do?" ask Kalula quietly.

"Y-yes. In my room. Yeah, in the room. Yes, yes, Kal. Tomorrow is the phone" said Edo who then disconnected the call quickly.

"Ciye, lie. Honestly why, Do. Tell me again the same gathering together cement-tense while nugas. Said in the room." Aldo mocked.

Edo who was focused on doing his additional tasks because it was too late to gather could only shake his head lazily. His two new friends who left with him from Jakarta were always harassing him with explosions.

Understandably they both have no girlfriend, while Edo has Kalula. So Aldo and Beni used to tease him a lot and it made him a little uncomfortable, but Edo wasn't too good to stay away from them.

The team of 5 scholarship recipients has agreed to be solid and help each other overseas. Monitoring in people's countries does require that we have many friends, right?

Erina and Ajeng who had just come were instantly laughing. They seem to be joking. Erina's hand carrying a mobile phone instantly captured the moment with a video.

Erina is very active in updating her activities while in Tokyo on her personal account.

Ajeng and Erina laughed. Aldo was clearly. Edo is focused on his laptop. He knows that the five gather, his friends are always teased like this.

Yes, Beni invited an acquaintance of a girl from Korea on campus and was rejected. That's what's becoming their material now.

Erina immediately uploaded the video by tagging the accounts of 4 other people. Ajeng, Beni, Aldo, and Edo. Edo did not know about this because he focused on the task he was doing.

Coincidentally this morning at breakfast, Edo admitted he had an anonymous social media account that he created before he left for Tokyo. Said to spy on Kalula. In fact Kalula privat his account and Edo is confused.

Erina laughs. Edo is a big deal about social media. Erina taught him and said that if the account is privatized, then Edo must follow first and wait for the request to be accepted. Just got to spy.

"Ah, no fun if that's dong, Er. If I follow, Kalula will know that this is my account." That's what he said this morning.

"Can you be anonymous, Do? How does Kalula know?" Erina who was still laughing at him again.

"And the same profile picture is my favorite anime account name. Kalula must know."

And the conversation ended with Erina finally following Edo's anonymous account. Then for the first time since he often uploaded their togetherness while in Tokyo, Erina mentioned the name of the account in her video story.

Erina does not know that one fad can make the relationship between Edo and Kalula increasingly misunderstand with runyam.

When in Tokyo Edo was trying to focus on completing the task with a frenzy of joking friends boisterous, then in Jakarta Kalula and Edward just sat alone with each other silent.

Silent.

"God, Ed. He was busy in his room. Must be tired and dizzy again. Ed, you asked your cousin. Maybe he lied or they won doang, he kept telling me let you not lead singles on.

Maybe not, anyway?" Kalula is still trying to dispel his bad thoughts although honestly he is very anxious if it turns out that it is true.

"Okay, I'll ask you tomorrow." Edward smiled. A smile that is just a mask. Actually he laughed happily. He feels like winning again now.

A notification appeared immediately snatched his phone Edward looked curiously

"Nobody, Ed. Karina's number is the same mom I blocked. This is just a notification if Erina uploaded a story or recent post. I'm freak, huh?

I was jealous and suspicious of her because she was too close to Edo, so I was a 'cock' to follow Erina in Tokyo. I'm like a stalker, right?" kalula said with a laugh to cover up the embarrassment.

Edward laughed, while Kalula's hand moved to check the notification.

"Guys, you know. Beni..."

Kalula stopped the video and narrowed her eyes. His eyes were watching intently the names of the 4 accounts Erina mentioned. Usually only 3 accounts because Edo does not have a social media account. But there is a new account...

Kalula immediately clicked on the account and opened an anonymous account profile with a post dated 2 months ago.

From the username and profile photo, Kalula is 100% sure if this is an Edo account. How could Erina mark someone else's account while in the video there were only five of them?

"Why, Kal?" Edward leaned toward Kalula's cell phone. He was curious to know.

"You said this morning. Edo has an anonymous account. She didn't follow me, but she followed Erina and her favorite artists. Why the hell is Ed..."

Kalula was unable to say any more words. He can only cry.

"He lied too. No nudge in the room. But again gathering outside. He lied to me, Ed..."

Edward smiled as Kalula slumped his face on his knees in tears. Kalula's surprise was his victory.

"All boys are the same, Kal."

Instead of calming, Edward fanned the fire even more...

In one somber afternoon, Kalula is hit by two complicated misunderstandings.
