27. Biriting

Kalula's head suddenly throbbed. The fact that he still vaguely found this made him dizzy.

Of course Edward is not an ordinary person if he can walk abroad that much. And judging from the time listed there, in the span of 5 years alone there have been many countries that he visited.

Could it be while working? But what job? After all, it is clearly listed on the visa, right if the destination is a vacation?

Kalula then looked at the other two drawers that he had not yet opened. And also there was still one box in the bottom of the closet that was so tempting to see the contents.

Kalula knows this is a crazy idea. But Kalula's curiosity couldn't be contained anymore. He then stood up from his squatting position and began to carefully search the drawer.

Kalula doesn't want to make a mess. Anyway he remembered where he took it and then he returned it to its original place.

20 Minutes more Kalula just fell silent. His mouth was silent but his hands grew more and more trembling as he opened the paper.

Edward's personal documents he read all. He knows it's wrong. But the more you know the new facts, the more you make Kalula reluctant to stop the other truths.

Eventually Kalula concluded. Edward was no ordinary man. He graduated from a top campus abroad. All the evidence documents he made sure were genuine.

There is one more photo album that looks outdated and placed at the very bottom. It is like a forgotten book.

Kalula knew he was overdue, but this photo album intrigued him. Ah, let it be. After all the privacy of Edward's domain has been torn apart inside out.

Kalula sat on the floor of the room and began to open the photo album. His knees were too limp after he finally realized that Edward had been lying to him all along.

On the album Kalula saw a photo of Edwrad's childhood, a photo memory of his school days, a photo of his graduation. In the pictures, his mother and father were with him.

Photos of their holidays in different parts of the world are there. From childhood until adolescence. What a happy family portrait.

Beautiful places that only Kalula can see through television screens and the internet was lost Edward visited since he was a child.

Come to think of it, how contrasting the fate of the two of them was. Everything is clearly shown in the photo album.

Just got half the album, Kalula decided to close the album and return it to its original place.

His head suddenly dizzy. Kalula is certainly not a fool. He knew it must be an original photo. And from the name of the school, photos of holidays abroad, background photos of their luxurious home; of course he knew Edward was not a poor person as he had said so far.

Kalula breathed a long breath. While raising his head and looking up at the room, his mouth closed tightly. His eyes glare.

"Oh, this luxury apartment doesn't belong to Edward either. He said he had his cousin but all the stuff and clothes here belong to him. Holy hooch! Why am I so stupid and just realizing this?

But what does all this mean? Why would Edward cover up his wealth? Then about him being a barista at the cafe? Oh, he was accepted on the same day as me."

Kalula increasingly flash back to the strange memories he passed with Edward.

"OKAY. It's quite the headache, Kal. Let's get out of Edward's room." Kalula then closed all the drawers and made sure nothing changed his position.

The medicine box he had found and he had already taken what he needed. In addition to red and plaster medication, he also took headache medication.

Kalula turned off the lights and walked out of Edward's room. He walked to his own room with a shackle.

Kalula opened the door of his room and stood in front of him. He observed that the room was narrower than Edward's room. The furniture and materials are also incomplete. But still for Kalula who since childhood lived in a narrow rented, this room was the most luxurious room he had ever had in his lifetime.

Kalula was suddenly scared after he realized Edward lied to him a lot. What purpose? He's confused.

Kalula then went into the room. Look at the wall clock. Oh, I don't know what time Edward gets home.

And for the first time since hitchhiking here, Kalula felt the need to lock the door of this room tightly. Even with a double lock.

Kalula then treated his wound and took headache medicine. He put his body on the bed. His eyes looked up. Daydreamed.

"What happened to Edward?"

His mind is uncontrollable. It was just his imagination to build a possible scenario about Edward. Who her? Why was Edward so nice to her? What purpose?

If he is evil, why is Kalula still fine until now. Edward never messed around, not even harassing when he had a chance. Edward didn't poison his food.

He's just good. Exceptionally well.

Aghhh! But why lie about...

"Wait on! Wait, Kal! He might not lie. He just covered it up. He just didn't tell." Kalula spoke to himself.

Yeah, not telling does not mean lying, right? Aren't those two different things?

Kalula tilted her body and hugged the bolster.

The headache medicine that he had taken a few minutes ago apparently began to have an effect. His eyes slowly closed and he fell asleep with all his grey thoughts and curiosity.

***

While Kalula overslept, Edward just arrived at his mother's house. The mishap made him stressed and upset.

It's too late now. Her mother was wearing her kimono-style sleeping pajamas when Edward walked into the house.

"Oh, Mama thought you forgot your way home." Madam Amelia Santono quipped.

The middle-aged woman who looks so fashionable and sometimes eccentric put her glass on the table. He just took a supplement from his doctor's advice.

Edward pulled out his mother's dresser chair and sat down. Amelia Santono certainly prefers to sit on the lip of her soft and comfortable bedroom bed.

"Macet, Mom. I just came. So please don't lure my emotions. I rushed straight here after Mama called again." Edward ruffled his hair with anxiety.

Amelia Santono shook her head.

"How many months did you not come home? Huh huh? Now Mama is just a little threatening to drag your girl from the apartment you were immediately flushed home. Ckck!"

Amelia Santono pursed her lips while folding her hands to her chest. His eyes stared triumphantly at his son.

Edward threw his face away in annoyance. He hates being judged like this. But how to. Her mother threatened her back. And the one threatened was Kalula.

"Ed, Mama's been investigating. The girl's in trouble. His family..."

"Stop, Mom!"
