While his mother was trapping Kalula and persuading him to tell a story innocently, Edward was actually pensive in Dika's room.
She sat in front of him timidly.
"Sir, are you sure you want to do this? Poor Kalula, sir. You heard yourself his voice shaking withstanding the cries when I said I wanted to fire him," said Dika with a feeling of guilt.
Edward was silent. He just stared blankly at the window. His hand knocked on the table while daydreaming. Confused, is this step right? What way will he succeed?
It's a little cruel. Dika who was told to pretend to be angry and bluff just can not bear. But Edward had no other choice.
The problem is that Kalula really does not want to know him anymore. He disappeared and did not appear in the cafe. Edward's panicked. Plus the message was not answered, the phone was not picked up.
What Edward doesn't know, Kalula didn't actually mean. He just hasn't checked his phone yet. From morning he was busy taking care of Shanty and pacing around taking care of the hospital documents.
Edward is further frustrated because he does not know where Kalula is. He had been trying to find a boarding place in Gang Cendana aka Bu Rudy's boarding house which is currently temporarily guarded by Shanty. But until there he was confused himself.
Yes, Edward really went there just now because he remembered very well that time he accompanied Kalula looking for a hostel there. But the princess's hostel was tightly shut by the gate. He certainly could not enter because it was a princess-only boarding house.
Edward then remembered the residence of his boarding mother which was located not far from the place of the boarding house. But the gate was also tightly locked and there was no sign of life.
When deadlocked and not finding any clues, Edward finally returned to meet Dika at the cafe to call Kalula.
Edward tried to digest the words he had heard from Kalula just now. Of emergency? Help people fall and miscarry? Is this story real? Or making-up? He is really confused.
There was fear in her little heart that Kalula was bragging to avoid her.
"Already, Dika. I have no way to let him contact me directly. I'll be right here. Who knows if he won't call me again and choose to meet you here like yesterday." Edward really didn't you hear Dika's opinion.
Dika just nodded. Ah, the men can what if his voice alone is not heard by his boss.
He walked out of his room and checked the cafe. Edward was alone in this room. The handsome rich man glared at the screen of his phone.
Maybe he hoped Kalula would contact him.
But almost half an hour waiting, not a single notification came in from Kalula.
Edward doesn't know Kalula is still busy with his mother. Her mother really took her all out.

Kalula somehow felt comfortable and believed in Edward's mother whom he called Amel's mother.
And when the new Amelia Santono she had met a few hours ago, she spoke with meekness and understanding, her heart was filled. Moreover, Amelia Santono did not hesitate to touch her hands, pat her shoulders, stroke her hair, and treat her like her own daughter.
"It's your fate, Kal. But I wonder why you refused and stayed away from your rich boss. Didn't he say he loved you sincerely? He also helps you when you are struggling.
He's got rich. Sorry, it is not intended to assuage your social status. As I know, but most girls out there would never be able to turn down a rich guy, right?" Amelia Santono now really wanted to hear Kalula's answer honestly.
Amelia Santono felt that if Edward chose women from the ordinary then he would only be used for money. Yes, although Edward has proven that his mother's choice used to also like it because of the treasure alone. But still Amelia Santono wanted her future son-in-law a rich girl as well.
Kalula stared at the trees swaying in the wind with a glaring gaze. Her lips smiled small.
"Come, Ma. Recently after knowing that the mother I consider my biological mother was a stepmom, I rethink. My stepmom used to say that when I grew up I had to work hard and make a lot of money.
Or else I should marry a rich man. That's the definition of success according to him. It is proven that all this time I have been highlighted until even buying decent shoes I can not afford because my money runs out for them" Kalula said while looking down at his shoes.
Amelia Santono stared at Kalula's feet spontaneously. Geez! Kalula shoes are very butut.
Amelia Santono then stared at her own shiny and expensive shoes. Maybe if the shoes are bought ordinary shoes like Kalula shoes can buy shoes one store. Amelia Santono who likes branded goods is very unrelated to Kalula whose shoes are blinded and the sole is almost off it.
"But to my papa, it's important that I'm happy. Papa knew I had a dream to study abroad. Papa always defended me if my mom told me to help with homework. I told him to study. And I really like to learn.
From Junior High I always got scholarships, so never paid tuition. That's enough to ease my papa. Papa thought I was successful because of it. He said he was proud.
Then I finished High School and worked odd jobs here and there until passing the scholarship selection until the interview stage. Unfortunately, I failed. Even my now broken boyfriend escaped. Now he's in Tokyo
It's sad, Mom. Then my boss came to comfort the sadness of my life. I was quite happy about it until I finally found out he was lying to me about his true identity.
If I was an ordinary girl, of course I would have no problem and accept her love. Yes, even though I had to pretend to love her to get my life uplifted. I could ask for his money, or take advantage of his other wealth.
But I can't lie about how I feel. I'm not that low. For a baby whose life has been destroyed and endured this hard work, what the hell makes us happy. Yes, love.
And I don't love my boss. Probably not. Maybe I could fall in love if I was given the time and opportunity to get to know him even more. I know he's basically good.
But he hurt my faith by lying outright at the beginning about his identity. I feel a little disappointed and humiliated because it is considered as if like a matre girl out there in general. Rich is not everything to me.
I hate being lied to. I am still confused now. My salary was withheld, even threatened to be fired. My cafe manager told me to call him directly. Ah, I really don't want to call him anymore and want to stay away" Kalula said.
