Jogja At A Time

Jogja At A Time
36. Early Trial

Mbah Jum asks Seti to postpone his departure tomorrow morning to the Drini island fish shop after hearing Seti's plan to accompany Seto there.

According to Mbah Jum, Sunday Pahing in the Java calendar is a day that is not good for traveling. "Mending was pushed back Monday if you want to go to Dibyo place," said Mbah Jum continued talks with Seti who was accompanying him in the stall on Saturday afternoon mid-February 1995.

"Let's see later. If I was up to how Mas Seto only. I'm just his employee" Seti replied.

"What time is your mom coming ? Let Mbah tell you. It's not good if you go all the way tomorrow Sunday" Mbah Jum looked at Seti with a face expecting his request to be obeyed.

"Later noon, with his friend. Do not know later directly here or stop first to take his friend to Wirobrajan," Seti felt uneasy about the Mbah Jum about his departure plan to the fish shop Drini island with Seto.

Seti's own little heart actually also wonders what the purpose of Seto's arrival this time invites Bening following Silence to the house of Wirobrajan first before going to Drini.

Silent and Yuni had arrived at the Wirobrajan house since yesterday. Accompanying them with all the fun stories with Asri, Joe and Doni make time pass so quickly. Moreover, Rudi tak Yuni followed him in the middle of the chat.

By three o'clock in the morning Seti, Joe and Doni withdraw from the Wirobrajan house. Asri stayed at the home of Wirobrajan accompanied Silent and Yuni.

Returning from the home of Wirobrajan, Seti still thinks of the arrival of Seto who will accompany Bening. There are not many words Seto who explained the purpose of his arrival to Jogja this time other than just wanting to accompany Bening to meet Silence.

Waking up a little afternoon and telling about the story of Seto and Bening's past made Mbah Jum ask Seto and Bening's birthday. The request to postpone the departure to the island fish shop Drini according to Mbah Jum also can not be separated from the count of Java after hearing the past of Seto and Bening.

Despite not believing the myth presented by Mbah Jum, Seti promised to deliver a message from Mbah Jum to Seto to postpone the planned departure to Drini.

...----------------...

Lapak Malioboro dress up flirtatious. Spreading temptation towards the eyes of visitors who glance at it to stop by. It doesn't matter if the routine ends only with visitors bidding and leaving without buying. After all, there is always the pleasure of each if the bargain finally becomes the price agreement of an item.

Like other founders, Doni was seen rushing to arrange the location of the sale items in his stall. Joe went back and forth to help lift cardboard boxes filled with selling goods from the daycare not far from the stall.

Half an hour of packing, the stall looks neat with a row of goods sold. Joe sat down next to Doni after putting two hot coffee cups on a small table behind the stand. Lighting a cigarette, the two fell silent enjoying the warmth of coffee in between the suction of his cigarette.

"What time is Joe ?" Doni started the conversation after that.

"Two," Joe plays his cigarette.

"Kok Seti hasn't come yet huh,"

"Maybe pick up Asri first at Wirobrajan,"

Both are silent again. Promising to come to the Malioboro lapak first, Seti has not looked like his habit that is always on time. Seti should have been at the Malioboro lapak since an hour ago to take turns guarding the lapak when Joe and Doni went to the station.

In between the house chat Wirobrajan last night, there was a duty share to hear Seto will come with Bening. Seti and Asri are shopping for dinner. Yuni and Silence are going to cook. Joe and Doni pick up from the station and drive Seto and Bening to Wirobrajan's house.

...----------------...

Seto held Bening's hand tightly after deciding to leave the station in the direction of Malioboro. Clear who looks beautiful enjoying the right hand of Seto. His legs lightly followed Seto's steps.

Walking across the street of Pasar Kembang, Seto occasionally glanced at the female figure who was now next to him.

Not many words came out. Seto and Bening enjoy a Malioboro corner that is starting to be seen in front. The seduction of some of the maids began to sound in between their steps. Jogja who had just visited Bening first began to leave an impression in his heart.

"That's in front," Seto pointed towards the field in front of the Chemical Pharmacy Farma not far from their place.

...----------------...

Joe and Doni are surprised to hear Seto's voice greeting from the front of the field. Rushing up from the door, the two went to greet Seto and greet him.

"Good afternoon mbak Ning... Welcome to Jogja," Joe greeted Bening who was seen admiring the merchandise on the field.

"Sore Joe, thanks for the welcome," there was a small laugh from Bening's thin lips. His mood began to cheerfully.

"Where's Don's sati ?" Seto asked his sister shortly after sitting in the back corner of the field.

"Don't know, I don't think like he usually comes late to the field" replied Doni.

"We should have no one to pick up at the station" Seto glanced at Bening. Like apologizing for taking her walking from the station.

"Ah don't papa Don, .. I even like to walk. So you can take a closer look at Malioboro," Bening interrupted the conversation. Trying to familiarize with the new Doni.

"Sorry yes mbak ... Nobody keeps the stall when we go to take the bike to the station." Doni responded to Bening.

If Seti is on time to Malioboro's lap, Doni will wear his borrowed RX-S Muji, and Joe uses the Denok to pick up Seto and Bening at the station and drive him to Wirobrajan's house.

Fortunately Seto already know the Malioboro lapak and decided to stop there first before heading to the home Wirobrajan deliver Bening.

"Drink hot or cold ?" Joe offers drinks to Seto and Bening who are sitting next to each other.

"The orange is warm if it doesn't bother Joe" replied Bening. His head rested on Seto's shoulder. There was no awkwardness in him to show his mood in front of Joe and Doni.

"I'm Joe's hot coffee, .. So buy me my cigarettes and your cigarettes." Seto handed a fifty-thousand piece towards Joe.

Not long after, Joe left the stall after receiving money from Seto.

...----------------...

Doni's story about Sanggar Taji was interrupted when he saw Seti and Asri across Malioboro. Seto and Bening turned to follow Doni's gaze.

After embracing her brother tightly, Seti then went to Bening. Behind him Asri greeted Seto and then turned to Bening and Doni.

"Sorry that Denok's tires are leaking," Seti opened the conversation after sitting in front of Seto and Bening. Realizing there was Asri in front of him. Just a little bit away from Seto.

"Have Ning, I'm fine, .. As long as Ning's mom is happy, I'm happy." Asri tried to remove the obvious stiffness against him.

For a moment we were silent at Asri's words just now. Luckily Doni read the mood. Not wanting the discomfort of Bening and Asri to continue, Doni asked Silence and Yuni at the home of Wirobrajan to Asri who stayed overnight there.

Malioboro's rag chat is flowing again. It was fun when Doni thanked Bening. Because through his sister's silence, Doni found Yuni his first love, as well as continuing with the employment relationship. The braid of Malioboro and Sanggar Taji field trips has so far grown. Not just about love. There is job accountability in it.
