Is this what you want?
~•~•~
Haura coughed after hearing the statement from her boss. A hint of a strange feeling radiated into the recesses of his tribe. Is this what Alden wants, until he is this good, and gives facilities to Haura. Or because he has other feelings?
He calmed down, and he felt fine. Haura would subtly refuse the unnatural request from her boss.
"Why should I? There are other employees of yours, even more than me."
"Because you're a match, there's no good criterion but you."
"But I'm a ja—" Haura's voice choked in the throat.
"Widow?" Alden affirmed Haura's sentence which was cut off casually. "My grandparents were open-minded people, they forced me to get married, because they thought I was so busy working that there was no time for a date."
"Miss Angeline, isn't she pretty? She's the perfect partner for you."
"No way, he's my best friend. My grandparents would have thought me and Angeline were conspiring" Alden explained.
All this time Haura just found out, if Angeline is the friend of the man before her. It was only fitting that at that moment, the girl seemed to dislike Haura.
"It's not free, I'll pay you for this." A flash of seriousness was clearly on Alden's face, let alone his sand-colored eyes, further strengthening if he was not wanting to play around.
Haura did need some extra money, moreover she also wanted to immediately pay off her debts to Alden who had changed her appearance the other day.
"Do you want to?" Alden reaffirmed the offer, in fact Alden's sentence implied not like coercion. But the look on his face showed seriousness and coercion, and Haura could not make a choice but to accept it.
"Jasmine...." Alden again hissed, disperse the daydream of the woman before him.
"Yes." Yeah." Haura flinched unable to say anything. Moreover, she is still confused by Alden's request to make him a contract lover.
"You ready?" Alden seemed to take a deep breath. "If you agree to my offer. I'll pay you 2000$ every month. "
Hearing the numbers offered by his handsome boss made Haura gulp, it was a fantastic price for a job as a contract lover.
"Is that not too much?" Haura was almost speechless.
"less?"
"It's not that, but it's very expensive for an easy job" Haura interrupted Alden's speech.
The cold air seemed to hit Haura, how could there be a cold air, which seemed to infiltrate her white skin, even though Tadpole was being controlled by summer. It made Haura rub both of her arms.
"You want to?" The question seemed to really intimidate Haura, and this time forcing her to agree to the offer, there was no harm in her accepting such a heavy job.
"Yes, fine. But there are conditions."
"What conditions?"
"There's no physical contact for either of us of course."
"But we need that to convince my grandparents. I just did it in front of them" Alden said. It was also true what this man said, how there was no physical contact when meeting Alden's grandparents. "After all, I won't touch you either" the man pretended.
"All right, I agree."
A small, almost invisible smile rose on Alden's lips, certainly unbeknownst to Haura, the man exhaled a sigh of relief, as if he was completing his secret mission.

"Where are you going to go home, or where are you going?" alden asked Haura.
"I'm tired and want to go home soon" the beautiful woman complained, while touching her neck which was painful.
"All right."
They both went to the parking lot, there still lined up luxury cars belonging to the conglomerate in the city of Tadpole.
There are even some cars that Haura has never seen before, maybe the car is only produced a few in the world, until it looks very rare.
Alden got into the car followed by Haura who was sitting next to him, during the return trip, the two chose silently not to say a word, as if drifting in their respective minds.
In Haura's heart she seemed restless and agitated of course. What if he's Alden's grandfather and grandmother can't accept Haura, and insult her. As in television dramas, all rich people will be like allergic if their offspring date women who are not clear seeds, bebet, and weights.
"What are you thinking?" Alden's cold voice pierced the bones, breaking the absurd daydream of a Haura.
"No. I didn't think of anything," the elak woman threw her face out of the car, and noticed the nightly atmosphere of the city of Tadpole filled with concrete jungle-like skyscrapers.

They both arrived at the thirty floor. Haura's steps came to a halt when she saw a stranger leaning against the door, half-sitting.
Alden who saw the man knew that he was Theo Haura's ex-husband.
"What's he here for? He looks drunk!" furious Alden, then walked roughly towards the man who was also raving.
When Theo saw Haura's arrival, the man immediately shouted out loud. "Haura! You're evil Haura!"
Theo was completely out of his mind, even he easily twisted the fact that Haura was the one at fault this time.
"Bad!" Emotionally, Alden pulled the two collars of Alden's clothes, their faces clashing, Alden looked at Theo with a nagging look as if he wanted to tear apart Theo's body which was controlled by alcohol. "You who abandoned her, you regretted it yourself! Men are self-informed and shameful!"
"It's been... Alden, let him go! Theo's drunk!" hardik Haura stopped her boss.
Alden let go and slightly pushed so as to make Theo stagger and fall. "I'll call security!" Alden took the phone out of his pants pocket. However, Haura prevented Alden by holding his hand.
"Don't! I'll take her home."
Alden did not believe Haura's words, was he not sane? And want to take this useless man home? Is this Haura an angel? It was as if she had forgiven her ex-husband for making it difficult.
"As far as you go!" Alden's jaw tightened because it held back emotions with the words of Haura who wanted to bring this evil man home. Alden left by slamming the door very hard. Haura could only let out a long sigh, as her work increased by another one. But behind him taking Theo home, there is a plan that Haura has created to make Theo regret.
