Part 41 - Strange Feelings

Theo was driving in a haphazard manner, which was in his mind, he had to arrive immediately and look at Haura with his own eyes, was the woman fine, was she fine, or even—Theo did not dare to think of strange things about his ex-wife.

The man parked his sports car haphazardly, and immediately ran into the information room looking for a patient named Haura Oxley. But his wish was dashed when the receptionist stated that Haura had been home since an hour ago.

"Sorry, Sir. The patient on Haura's behalf came out about an hour ago" said the receptionist, dancing his fingers on a computer keyboard to gather information about a patient named Haura Oxley.

"What is she sick?" Theo seemed impatient, his breathing went up and down and his heart pumped his blood faster until his adrenaline rose.

"Patient Haura fell and suffered minor injuries" concluded the young woman who was standing behind a table limited to her chest.

Theo breathed a sigh of relief as the receptionist revealed the truth about Haura's circumstances.

"alright... Thank you, Miss." Theo turned around and passed away leaving the hospital.

Alden brought Haura home, along the lobby to the apartment unit—Alden carrying the body of the woman he loved, making Haura feel embarrassed to be seen by many people of course.

"Alden... put me down! I was only lightly injured, not paralyzed," the woman said as she struggled.

However, instead of taking Haura down, the man just kept silent as if reluctant to comment anything. Both of them had reached the elevator, Haura who poked both hands to Alden's neck seemed to want to tease the lover.

"I'm heavy, aren't I?"

"No, you're like cotton." Alden spoke without looking at Haura.

"Thank you, for always being there for me, always being with me, and taking care of me."

After Haura said those words, Alden glanced at this woman. "Because I'm the only person you have, I don't mind even if my life is at stake. I'll keep you."

Haura exerted her embrace for Alden, leaving Alden gasping and shocked to receive such treatment from the lover. There was a strange bogeyar that crawled around Alden as if it could not be dammed.

After getting to the apartment unit, Alden put Haura's body on the bed, strangely the man was about to leave as if in a hurry, lucky Haura to swiftly grab Alden's hand.

Alden who saw Haura so beautiful—even though the bandage adorned his forehead, it did not reduce the elegance of Haura at all. Alden managed to swallow his own saliva, and even the sweat of a grain of corn came out from the man's forehead.

"You sweat, Alden? You sick?" Haura got out of bed, reached out to touch Alden's cheek.

However, without Haura expecting her lover to even catch her hand, and said, "Don't beg me, Haura!" Alden's sudden warning puzzled Haura, why Alden said so.

"What's up, honey?"

The strange gesture was getting worse when he heard Haura say spoiled calling his name by the name of 'honey' once again made Alden swallow his own saliva, then release Haura's hand.

"Haura .. I have to go!"

"To where? I still want to be with you."

"Ti–can't! I have to go, I can't stand this room just being with you." Alden scanned the entire room of Haura's room, and smelled the scent of the room thoroughly. "I have to go, Haura."

"Why? Even we've slept together," replied Haura innocently.

"Huh?" Alden was completely speechless at hearing Haura's statement.

Aware if his words were wrong, Haura immediately avoided justifying his sentence. "I mean when Grandma came here, you slept with me."

"Ah... So it looks." Sweat was still pouring on the man's temple. "Hauras... I have to leave before—" Alden did not continue his words, and immediately ran away in a daze leaving Haura still confused.
