Kala Boss Teases

Kala Boss Teases
Part 4 4 Expelled

Haura sharpened her eyes, re-scavenging memories that might have been some small piece of something she had forgotten. The man pulled the edge of his lips in an ironic smile and then he put his hands together and then leaned his back on the chair he was sitting in.

"It turns out that your memory is not like an elephant" he tipped off in a provoking tone.

Not many know, if the elephant is one of the intelligent animals, and has a large brain. Elephants have a part of the brain called the hippocampus that is very well developed. The hippocampus is closely related to emotions. This makes it easier for elephants to remember by encoding important experiences into long-term memories.

"What do you mean, sir?" Haura was confused. He kept turning his brain to remember who this handsome man before him was.

"Three months ago, you wanted to jump in the Cotton Clay river?" The man tried to remind Haura of the embarrassing incident she was about to commit, suicide—just because Theo was going to divorce her. Hearing that, of course, Haura's tongue became muffled. How could the man remember an event that only happened for a few minutes, and he remembered Haura's face. Oh, naw. Is this guy kidding?

"A-what, you helped me?" asked Haura curiously, because in her memory at that time, a handsome man in a neat three-piece suit, was grabbing her waist and trying to resuscitate her.

"Why do I help you! I just want to remind you, if you want to kill yourself park your car right! Trouble people!" he told Haura.

Haura immediately clenched her lips— did not dare to answer and chose to be reluctant to comment, because she was now facing her boss candidate. If he misspoke even a single word, maybe he ends up not being accepted. Because finding a job with his appearance like this is not easy, even more so. Now the CEO is willing to interview him.

The handsome CEO seemed to be flipping through the files in his hands, occasionally looking at Haura with a cold gaze. Even though the temperature of this room alone has made Haura shiver and now coupled with the face of his boss candidate who Haura can not describe.

"What are the plus points you have that I should consider you going into my company as a marketing man?" he asked without looking at Haura.

"Ehm...." Haura seemed confused to answer what, because honestly since graduating from college she immediately decided to get married, it made Haura never feel the world of work, let alone apply for a job.

"Ehm?" Alden seemed to glance towards Haura while listening to the answer to her question.

"I can work as a team, and I can also work on target!" replied Haura loudly.

Instantly the room was silent, Alden seemed silent for a moment as Haura answered her question out loud. Haura thought if she answered firmly—then this boss of hers would consider her.

"Classical answer!" muttered Alden responding to Haura.

Haura immediately gulped as Alden spoke his opinion in short and slow sentences, coupled with an ironic smile that never escaped his perfect lips.

"A-was I wrong, sir?" Haura looked stammered, she kept playing her fingers because she was nervous.

"No, you're not wrong at all. But it's the year two thousand twenty-two, you answer my questions as if you were applying for a job in the nineties!" answer him with a scornful tone.

Haura starts to be provoked by her boss-to-be who seems like a human type who doesn't want to lose and sucks.

"Well, do you really intend to work here?"

What kind of stupid question is this? Why did the man before Haura ask a rhetorical question, did Haura have to answer him? Wouldn't if he applied for a job in this place this guy should already know if he really wanted to work?

"Yes," replied Haura briefly.

"But I don't find any seriousness in you" he replied in a dismissive tone.

Haura was already very emotional hearing this man's words, it felt like she wanted to raise a fist for this man to be quiet.

"Change your appearance first!" the man's command, cut off Haura's sentence which made Haura's speech choked in her throat.

Haura began to be provoked, then she stood up violently, until the chair she was sitting on was pushed back.

"Does your company judge its workers by appearance? Is physicality more important than loyalty at work?!" asked Haura, she really can't stand this guy in front of her.

"Yes. because you are going to fill the marketing division, of course appearances should take precedence" Alden replied casually.

"Not sane! I'd better find another job!" Haura left a bad impression on Alden, but instead of the man's emotions chuckling got an answer from the fiery Haura.

Haura came out of the CEO's room with explosive emotions, she kept nagging and swearing cursing Alden, she said, may Alden be a weathered bachelor who never sells!

Hearing his boss being cursed like that made Josep who had been sitting in front of Alden's office seem to chuckle, he said in his heart, apparently there are also those who dare to nag in front of Alden who incidentally is a perfectionist boss and does not want to be criticized. But that certainly makes Josep look strange, for what his boss was interviewing the prospective workers themselves, but usually he left everything to the HRD.

While the woman who drove Haura to meet Alden earlier who greeted her in front of the elevator door seemed to bend eyebrows at the sight of an angry Haura, and nagged along the way to the front of the elevator. The woman named Anggeline wanted to ask, but she felt bad for Haura, and let the woman go.

Haura chose to return home, driving the only butute car she had, she was surprised to find all her clothes scattered in her yard. He rushed inside, hoping everything was okay.

But his steps stopped when he saw Theo, Alila, and Delarosa had been in front of the house as if waiting for his arrival.

Delarosa immediately stood up when she saw Haura enter, she scanned Haura's appearance which was indeed pitiful. He pulled the edge of his lips as if mocking his former daughter-in-law.

"You just applied for a job?" ledek the middle-aged woman, then glanced towards her daughter-in-law who was sitting pretty on a chair in front of the terrace. "It's a pity, after being abandoned by my son, that you have to work to support yourself, to be able to eat" he said, chuckling.

"What are you guys doing here for?" Haura started to open her voice, as if challenging the three people.

"Excluding you! What else do you want?! This house is in my son's name anyway, and he will stay here with his wife and children later" Delarosa said.

"But this is my home too!" Haura tries to fight the former in-laws who are notoriously crazy treasures.

"Can't! You need to get out of this house!" The words that came out of Theo's mouth suddenly made Haura's heart wound gap again. How could Theo throw himself out, even though Theo knew that if Haura had no place to live at all, this house should be sold and made into a treasure gono-gini, but as if Theo closed his eyes to it all, he said, and chose to expel the woman he once loved with all his heart.
