Part 39 Error

Haura really couldn't stand Angeline's treatment all this time, who always looked at her with one eye.

"You've caught Alden's attention!"

Haura scowled dislikefully, her eyes staring intently at Angeline who was provoking herself with words that were truly unheard.

"Why are you glaring?! No like?!" Angeline again exclaimed, her hand pointing towards Haura who was still silent.

However, in Angeline's rude response to Haura's insistence on being nice after all, this woman is Alden—'s best friend she chose to put on a smile, not a sweet smile, but irony. Haura seemed to put on a ridiculing expression of Angeline.

"I don't know your problem, Miss. But if you don't like me. That's your business!" Haura turned around and left Angeline who was very angry at Alden's lover. To make Angeline's emotions overflow and make him lose his mind, impulsively pushing Haura until the woman fell against the wall.

Of course Alden who heard the commotion outside and was shocked when he saw Haura was lying unconscious with a bloody forehead.

"Maura!" Alden immediately ran over, grabbing Haura's body lying on the floor. "Maura!" The man seemed to be patting Haura on the cheek but his efforts were in vain. Haura remained unmoved not responding to Alden.

"I didn't push him, Alden!"

Alden's eyes grabbed Angeline's face so frantically, as if she had just made a big mistake.

"You say that, which means you push Haura, 'ha?!" Alden was angry, he was really fed up with Angeline, especially the woman's mind was too excessive because of the mental illness he suffered.

Alden immediately grabbed Haura's body, and ran to take the woman to the hospital.

"Grandfather... Grandma." While pressing the steering wheel. Joseph began to break the silence between them. "Alden has been waiting for Haura since high school."

"What do you mean, Josep?" Callie frowned, while fixing her sitting position.

"Alden had loved Haura for about seven or eight years, and these few months he had just discovered she looked so pitiful." Josep's voice was low, remembering the love story Alden had told him. "On the first day they met, Haura wanted to end her life on the Cotton Clay bridge, because she saw with her own eyes that her husband had cheated on her."

Edward and Callie get into a fight with each other, both becoming interested in the story of Haura, who she is, and how the woman could ensnare their granddaughter. Both of them seemed to flinch listening to the story of Josep on the sidelines of their journey.

"There was a flash of happiness as well as sadness in Alden's heart back then. Happy to have found her first love, and sad to see the woman she loved so much look so sad." Josep explains to the two slowly in order to open the eyes of Edward and Callie who are usually logical minded. However, no matter what Angeline said, the two did not like Haura.

"Alden deliberately made a pact between them, only to bind Haura, and thwart her engagement plans with Iris."

"Is everything you say true? All this time Alden had never had a lover, just because he was waiting for Haura?" Callie started asking questions of her granddaughter's best friend.

"Yes, you could say so. Even grandparents know for themselves, Alden has never touched any woman, so you both assume that Alden has an abnormality."

Edward nodded and understood now. Everything Angeline said if Haura divorced because she was the woman of the night was all a lie. Edward and Callie should have been able to figure it out before he went to Alden to ask his granddaughter to leave the woman that night.
