Defeating the ego
Darren's body was still silently sculpting, not even he heard Shelby's voice shouting for help. Darren's eyes kept on Theresia who was lying in the back.
"Dareen please, let's get Theresia to wake up!" Shelby yelled even louder as Darren did not respond to her request.
When Shelby is about to forcefully pull Darren's body, Shelby suddenly stops her steps when she hears a doctor saying that Theresia's heartbeat has returned to normal.
Shelby immediately let go of Daren's hand, then the woman turned around and ran towards the gurney. He leaned over, hugging Theresa's body, as well as the doctors. They rested for a while because they had also just experienced panic. In the end, God was still kind enough to let Theresa live longer. While Darren, was still silent on the spot. The man was suddenly like a dazed person.
A few hours later.
All the Doctors were out of Theresia's ward two hours ago, and after the doctor came out, Shelby did not let go of Theresia's grasp. He kept holding his daughter's hand. He also did not remove his gaze from Theresa's body, ensuring that Theresia was still breathing.
Don't ask how scared Shelby was, for sure he was really at his highest point of fear, because for the first time also Theresia experienced like this.
Suddenly, thirst whack Shelby. He looked towards the nightstand, there was no drink there until the woman got up from her seat, intending to buy a drink down.
As she exited, Shelby stopped her steps when she saw Darren sitting in the waiting chair. Suddenly, Shelby's body feels weak when remembering what he did to Darren earlier, where he asked Darren to talk to Theresa while Theresa was struggling to live.
While Darren, coming out of Theresia's treatment room, was in a daze, like there was something strange about him. Unknowingly, she was worried about Theresia, she wondered why Theresia could be like this. He also wanted to know what happened to Theresia, until he finally decided to wait for Shelbi to ask.
When Shelby came out, Darren turned to his wife and then he got up from his seat, then approached Shelby. Until the two couples stood face to face.
"What happened to Theresa?" darren's question made Shelby smile bitterly. I don't know what purpose Darren asked, either curious or just wanting to laugh.
Shelby braced herself, then said, "Theresa only had a high fever." That's all Shelbi said, there's no point in saying what happened to Dareen. Not wanting to talk to her husband again, Shelbi again continued her steps to leave Dareen.
After Selby left, Dareen also decided to turn around and plead. As usual, his ego reappeared especially just now Selbie answered it arrogantly.
But as he was about to turn around, he suddenly stopped his movements. His eyes seemed to be hypnotized to enter Theresia's ward. However, again Dareen's ego appeared until he shook his head, his ego as if telling him not to care about Theresia.
